Purchasing the card was easy. It was easy to add multiple cards to one app and scan everyone in at once. We used the 48-hour card for public transit (including to Schipol airport), discounted 1/2 day... See more

Connection and cooperation is what makes amsterdam&partners strong and functional as a city marketing organisation. As the central organisation we connect cross-sector parties. More than ever, this comes down to this key principle: “together we are stronger”.

We can do a lot of things in Amsterdam and the city card was doing well in the transports and in the muséums. A good experience in Amsterdam.

A bit too expensive, but the user experience was overall great. The app is really useful, intuitive and easy to use, great UI/UX. This is how we chose all our destinations.
There were a few app crashes on android though. Nothing dramatic, but you might want to look into those.

When I went to use the card for the first time at an attraction, it wouldn’t activate. I had to buy tickets at the gate at full price for a total cost of 48.50 euros. I contacted The company seeking a refund, they said they needed the ticket receipt. I didn’t have it at the later time, but did provide a screen shot of my credit card statement showing a purchase from the venue. This didn’t satisfy their needs, so they wouldn’t issue the refund.
In summary, when in Amsterdam, consider all vendors of these types of cards. I cannot recommend this vendor

The card is good what is not good is the use of bike for only 1 day

The card is really easy to use and accepted in most of the sights in Amsterdam. I purchased the longest stay card and the value was easy to calculate. It made every sight easier to enter.

Being able to filter the museum choices for museums not open on Monday and save them as favorites made it easier to find places to go. Figuring out how to get around using only GVB transportation was a little harder. We were able to save money using the card.

It was great to travel around the city with the iamsterdam card. It was very easy to get and use. I would especially recommend it for using public transport!

I purchased a 24 hour pass and used it enough to pay for itself and then some. I think it works best to activate it in the afternoon: I went to the Dutch Resistance Museum, The Lord in the Attic and took an evening canal tour (enjoyed it with the lights), then the next morning I was at Rijks when it opened, finishing with Oude Kerk. I used the tram a handful of times. This is my third visit to the Netherlands so I’ve already done many of the other major attractions. I pre-booked what was required, then at checkout I checkmarked that I had the IAmsterdam card. I did have to show the actual activated card at all the locations, along with the QR code for the reservation. I would recommend buying this card, it’s pretty easy to use, even on the trams.

My wife attempted to purchase one card but the system stalled and appeared to reject the transaction, however she then received three cards all of which were energised
The cards were a reasonable value

The iAmsterdam cards worked great. We purchased two 48 hour digital cards via the app. We didn’t activate our cards until we went to the Rijksmuseum on May 6th and they were valid until Friday afternoon. They remain inactive on your app until you chose to activate them, which is immediate and easy. They worked great on public transit. Just scan the QR code on the reader. We used it for entry into several museums, ADAM Lookout, a canal cruise. A lot of the museums in Museumplein are close to each other, so we made reservations to walk out of one and into another. The cards aren’t cheap. A 48 card was $156 Canadian, but if you go to a lot of museums, take a canal cruise etc. you get your moneys worth.

Great solution, for having a complete the experience in Amsterdam.
It could be better with the addiction or a discount on Anna frank and Van Gogh, or even better, give the possibility to book a ticket from the platform of I am Amsterdam.
Thank you for the experience

Worth getting if you plan to go to many places in a short time. The unlimited transportation is a prime benefit.
