Update on the same day SADLY
The issue I had was not sorted But i believed it was due to the staff being really nice on the chat box and was told I'll get a call. Never happened. So I called them twice and was on hold for 25 minutes only to be cut off 30 second's in to the call. I was then promised a callback again via chat box That never happened Don't trust chat box. I've informed them of the misunderstanding and what hasn't happened But they haven't updated their own system information
Sadly i withdraw my recommendation at this point and feel I'll have no choice but to cancel the contract. A real shame for a company I felt at ease with
And another update. After my review they called with apologies and an really feeble excuse for their mix ups. Great NO Then they cancel the contract due to the time it would take them to connect my home, and that according to them wasn't worth it for me???
And to day after all that, they billed me. Yes that's right they billed me.
Without doubt the worst customer service and company I've had to deal with in 4 tears. They hadn't even updated their own systems after they cancel the contract... Scary for a internet company Wouldn't you say..

I am surprised by the 4.7* Trustpilot rating, and can only assume that most reviewers have not been with Hyperoptic for long.
Hyperoptic presents prices on their website as if they are 'normal' ongoing prices, not steeply discounted offers for new customers. They entrap you with predatory price increases once you are a customer. Modest increases are to be expected, but Hyperoptic quoted £51pm to renew 1Gbps on a 12 month contract, or £63 to continue on a rolling basis. This is wildly beyond anything you are led to believe when signing up - my next door neighbour can get £21pm rising to £25 in a year with no suggestion that this is an intro offer price.
I have had to cancel and look for another provider. They demand 30 days notice to cancel, but they only give you 30 days notice of what the new prices will be! So unless you call to cancel INSTANTLY, you are also forced into paying their excessive new pricing for a period of time.

We had hyperoptic for years without any issues, until we moved flats. I called a long time in advance to make sure that I would have internet moving into a new flat and I was assured it would be a case of just plugging the modem. Needless to say, that was not the case, I called to say there was nowhere to plug the modem in the flat and had to convince the agent I was telling the truth and even send pictures. She proceeded to schedule an engineer visit 4 days later. I work from home so I missed work and felt completely let down. We never received an apology or gesture for all the days of work we missed because of their mistake.

I was anxious because I'm disabled and on benefits I could not afford a massive increase with my contract renewal.
Sonja Arsovic was kind, knowledgable and sorted the situation in an amazing way reducing my payments and increasing my speed. On a rolling contract so if my benfits get cut I can downgrade.
Really brilliant help it is appreciated.
