I have been searching for parts for an old system and looking for options for a new system. I entered the chat expecting to get an AI that didn't work. Instead, I was connected to a real live person who was knowledgeable on HVAC systems, knew what they had, could make varied recommendations based on my needs, and didn't try to upsell me at every turn. As a DIY person who can't afford inflation expenses, this is gold. thank you, you earned my business.
I had some issues with my order
I had some issues with my order. The stand for the condenser did not fit the unit, the lines set had 3/8" and 5/8" copper and the unit uses 1/4" and 5/8", and the condensate hose did not fit the line coming out of the evaporator. I had to rework everything to make it all fit. The mitsubishi mini split works great now, but the install took a lot longer than it should have given the wrong accessories supplied. HVAC Direct gave good customer service, but they need to be more thorough with the kits they supply.

Everything I ordered was as specked and what I ordered. The only problem I had was with delivery. I paid extra for a small truck with a lift gate and received a tractor trailer rig, which was too big to make the delivery.

Best Experience Ever
Well, after 40+ years in customer service, including 18 years as a Classroom teacher, 14 years in Hospitality Management, and 10 years owning my own business, this is the best Customer Service I've ever experienced.
Wanting a mini-split, wall-mount, 2-zone system, the choices and subtle differences (seemingly only understood by experts) were too much for me to deal with. In a random Google search, this website popped up. I browsed a bit when the Chat box started to seem like a good idea. Less than 5 minutes later, having many questions answered (I typed fast, and so did the adviser (Kevin), and their ability to send hot links you can click without losing the chat window made making a decision easy. btw - (by the way) using the advisor (chat window) awards you an even further discount than on the site, which is sent to your email by your advisor while you're talking with him. Wow, indeed! If you only want an education or knowledge and the best system for your needs (they ask for the size of your rooms/house) this is the only site you will need to shop. Oh, and
SHIPPING IS F R E E :0) Wow, again, they also sent me 2 links, one to a YouTube video on hiring the right expert for installation and one for a recommended site that lists contractors in your neighborhood.

great service until you order
Kevin was very attentive before I placed my order. Now that the order is placed and my credit card has been charged, no one will answer me. When I ordered, the item was in stock. Now, when I try to check my order status, it just says back order with no expected shipping date - yet they already charged my credit card. I sent a chat message (both a general one and one responding to the previous chat with Kevin) almost 2 hours ago. I got a brief response from Kevin and then a template message that says they sent my concern to customer service and I'll receive a response in 24 hours,and now my messages are being ignored.

No longer trustworthy company
This company gave us a system that had faulty and missing parts and has taken a month since we ordered it and we still don’t have the system up and running due to the missing parts and not functioning. Customer service has been super slow and it’s taken us weeks to get the parts( some having to be ordered from Amazon because they didn’t have it). Also they said multiple times don’t worry we’ll send it and we’ll send a confirmation to your email. They did nothing 3x of me calling. This is not a safe company to buy from you will be out $4000+ and your children will still be roasting. They might have been good at one point but their service is sliding and I’m letting that reflect here.

Great customer support
The customer support (Matt) was of a great help and answered all my questions which I had lot of. This is the key reason why I decided to go with them. I gained trust in the product (despite errors on the web page) and I am grateful for him to take time to answer all my concerns.

Love the equipment
We loved working with you but the shipping company was very difficult. I got no notice or tracking information. Just a phone call about 20 min before the driver was to arrive. We were both at work and are at least 30 min away from home. I called him back and explained the situation and let him know that my husband was on his way but was at least 30 min out. I had a neighbor come to meet him but he threatened to leave because he couldn’t wait more than 20 min without having to charge us extra. My husband got there and explained the situation and the driver said that he had to call his dispatcher to get my phone number that morning. The units work wonderfully but the delivery was the bad part.

I had questions about a unit that I was hoping to DIY and was educated by Kevin on what is and isn't possible. He also helped my size my system requirements, including basing it off my local climate and home insulation. Kevin was insanely helpful and quickly answered all of my questions, and threw together a quote with everything I would need. Will definitely will be recommending HVACDirect in the future.
