Dave from House & Home Sitters found the perfect match while we spent 3 months away from our dogs and cats. We got updates and pictures throughout the stay. Bernie looked after our animals as if they were his own. He went beyond our expectations and made our 3 month trip away a relaxed and stress free one. We have some future trips planned and we already have Dave arranging them for us. THANK YOU SO MUCH Bernie and Dave!!!

House and Home Sitters is a fantastic company; Dave Price who runs the company gives that personal touch with great communication and brilliant customer service which puts you at ease from the off.
Dave put us in touch with our house and dog sitters Maggie and Steve when we went abroad in January 2022 for 10 days.
Really good value for money and probably cheaper than boarding kennels for the dog. Plus the pet gets to stay at home and your house gets looked after too, all wrapped up into the bargain.
Well I cannot say enough good things about Maggie and Steve; what a lovely couple, great communication from the outset.
They arrived when they said they would and waited until our return from the airport, repeating that if we were delayed they would stay and never leave our pet on its own.
The dog had been on lovely long walks and was well looked after and I think is missing them both.
The house was spotless on our return.
I would definitely use House and Home Sitters again and would definitely ask for Maggie and Steve. I think I would even change around holiday dates to fit in with their calendar.
I am sure though that Dave has many House and Pet sitters like Maggie and Steve on his books as he personally interviews and vets all sitters before they can work for his company.
Really refreshing to find a company with such high levels of satisfaction.

Dave at House and Home Sitters kindly matched us with house sitters used to looking after a country house and we were so pleased with all the communication and attention to detail from him.
Chris and Tatiana were excellent; they arrived earlier to go through all the areas to cover in the house and garden. Extremely polite, professional and thoughtful, asking us questions if they were not sure, and they were continually in touch with us while we were away. We felt very assured that our house was cared for and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for house sitters.

Dave at House and Home Sitters was very helpful in helping us find a sitter and answering all our questions about the process. Bonnie, our house sitter, was excellent, taking very good care of our elderly Labrador and our home. She sent us daily updates and pictures of our dog, and was extremely responsive which meant we could relax while away on holiday.

Dave from House & Home Sitters was responsive, efficient and really set our minds at ease for what was our first time having a sitter. Finding out about us, our home and our trip was a comprehensive yet straightforward process conducted in a professional manner, which really gave us confidence!

Our sitters, Carole and Tim, were fantastic from start to finish. We spoke with them via a video call ahead of time, and they straightaway understood exactly what we needed to care for our 3 cats and home while we were away. On the day our cats immediately took to Carole, so we knew we'd made the right choice.

Carole kept us up to date throughout our trip, and the cats were clearly well looked after on our return - as was our home!

For anyone nervous of using a home sitter, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Dave and his team, and will be using them again myself in a few months.

I must admit that we were apprehensive about engaging a house sitter for the very first time. We were, however, really pleased and reassured by Dave’s prompt reply to our initial enquiry and his understanding of our needs. We were even more pleased once we had spoken with Bryan and Sue, our appointed sitters.
In the weeks running up to our weekend away, we exchanged numerous emails, pictures and videos of Apollo, our rescue Patterdale. Bryan and Sue arrived promptly on Friday and immediately made a fuss of Apollo. This set our minds at rest, and we went away knowing our home and pet were in very safe hands.
We arrived at our destination and received an update and photo of Apollo relaxing in his favourite armchair. This was a nice touch and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our weekend away. Several updates and pictures followed, and we knew everything was well.
We returned home to find the house clean and tidy, bedding washed and drying and Apollo fast asleep in the sunshine. I am convinced he didn’t even realise we had been away!
So, we have to say a huge thank you to Bryan and Sue for looking after Apollo in such a caring way. Thank you also to Dave at House and Home Sitters for a first-class service. Prompt, polite and reassuring. Exactly what is needed.
We will certainly use them again!

Selwyn, our sitter from House and Home Sitters was great, thanks – did everything we asked and more, left the house clean and gave the dogs many walks! We had great peace of mind while we were away and Selwyn sent us photo updates of our happy animals. We would definitely use him again.

I got back home and found the house and animals had been beautifully looked after by Toddy, an excellent house sitter provided by House and Home Sitters. Toddy was very good with my dog and cat and they were happy. She left everything very tidy. I was very happy with her and had a relaxed holiday knowing they were ok.
As soon as travel to Cambodia is allowed, I will definitely contact House and Home Sitters again. I am more than happy to recommend them.

Bonnie took excellent care of our two quirky dogs and our house. She gave us daily updates and the house was spotless when we arrived home. She coped well with all our gadgets and was quick to pick up all our instructions.

Wow where to start, what a brilliant experience from beginning to end!

David was a pleasure to deal with, giving us confidence in him, his company and in the house sitter he was going to provide.

We were apprehensive at first as you are leaving someone in your home that you have little time spent getting to know. This all soon disappeared once we received David’s professional emails, company and insurance details and pictures of our house sitter Margaret.

All of this helped us to feel relaxed and trust that this was the right thing for us to do whilst we left our home to celebrate a family wedding.

I would really like to express how much me and all of my family loved Margaret our house sitter. Such a wonderful lady.

Denise and Chris were fantastic! We had a completely stress-free long weekend away knowing our dogs were in safe hands. They were very respectful of our wishes and clearly made a big effort to understand and follow the instructions we had left. We came home to two happy and relaxed dogs and a lovely tidy apartment. Five Stars and we will most definitely be using them again

He found us an ideal house sitter, Bernie and his partner, Yveline, in no time. They gave our dog lots of loving care and good walks every day, helped out with gardening and the lawn mowing too. They were incredibly conscientious, everything was immaculate on our return and our dog was very contented, what more could you ask for!

As an executor selling a remote Grade II Listed home I've had a very capable sitter throughout the covid lockdown and, once permitted, subsequent viewings phase. He's hands on, worldly wise and has befriended the late person's Irish Setter wonderfully.
