Ordered in May '25 -nothing since

Ordered in May '25, have not received anything.
I have sent them queries on updates/delivery dates since, and have had no response. No acknowledgement and certainly no glasses. seems they've done a runner with everyone's money!

They Will Steal Your Money!

This company scammed the supporters of their Kickstarter sunglasses campaign. Now their website is down. They have stollen thousands of dollars from the people who pledged for the glasses.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Incorrectly made lenses and lack of quality control are just the beginning

Glasses pre-ordered, long waiting time which is understandable, but the product received did not meet the quality assurances.
For the first time receiving the product, the right lens required replacement through an error by my optometrist - this stage went quickly and smoothly. However, the glasses received came stained and, in addition, after replacement, do not match the other values written from the prescription when placing the order.
No one checked before shipment whether the new lens, and the old one, which seemed good at first, coincided with the parameters written on the page when placing the order. This was confirmed by 3 optical salons in my area.
Despite providing full documentation, they report that the error is not the fault of their laboratory or quality control, but of the user who correctly entered the prescription as assigned by the doctor.
The assured solution exposes the user to further costs that will not be reimbursed, and the person is still not sure if the lenses will be made correctly.
As a returning buyer, I unfortunately do not recommend.

Issues with Shipping

Issues with Shipping. Plus I paid extra for blue Transitions lenses that aren't blue. I asked them if I got the right ones. They said yes. Then I asked why the picture on the site is SO VERY blue and my lenses are just grey. They said that I got the right lenses... If I wanted grey I could have saved myself like $100, but I was interested in the "Sapphire" blue color and what I got was not blue.

Received the Lance Abbesses , i like them a lot

Received the Lance Abbesses frames ,they feel so good . I did get a new prescription also ( past was over 2 years ago and was giving me headaches ) , and it honestly makes my day better . The support took around 12 hours to reply to my questions

Shipping experience was really bad

Shipping experience was really bad. 2 people from Hoolens contacted me because number in my adress was missing and they still failed to provide the right informations to the delivery service. Also I highly doubt that they gave me the ultra thinning that I paid for, my lenses are same size than my discount glasses. Also, the polarized clasp doesn't look incredible and the space between glass and clasp is not the same on both side. Let's pray that the product will be good on long term (oh and I reviewed my product on their website but I guess they filter the low stars comments).

Their lenses are honestly horrible and…

Their lenses are honestly horrible and not worth the price, coatings are bad, customer service is horrid. I preordered a frame along with the colour for the frame I wanted. Took them one month later or so to say that they can’t produce the pigment?? (So why allow a preorder for that colour??) I then ask is it possible for an upgrade on the lenses since I’m not getting what I’ve paid for and the representative was mentioning how she wanted that colour too but there’s nothing she can do. And I have yet to receive them and this was back in may! I’m never going to be ordering from them again after lance O2. And after Lance o2 they want to charge me £16 for shipping to the uk?? Plus I asked for the little notches, for my glasses as one fell off, that probably weight as much as a feather given their size and they want to charge me €19 for it???. Such a crap lens company. Look elsewhere

Repeat Customer

I have had several pairs of glasses from this company (who I believe used to be known as Lance Glasses) over the past few years and have always been pleased with them.

Their prices have crept up slightly over time, but I guess that’s what prices do.

I have always found the glasses themselves to be a quality product, and found their customer service to be good (for example - they sent my latest pair of glasses with the right prescription but the wrong thickness - but quickly corrected this when I let them know).

So to sum up - a good company in my opinion and I will probably use them again.

Should've gone to specsavers.

A few years ago I bought new glasses with expensive lenses (varifocal, lightweight, photo-sensitive) from specsavers. I couldn't get on with them at all. They were too heavy for me. I took them back to specsavers and they were brilliant, gave me a full refund and I found a pair I liked.

My next pair of glasses was from Hoolens (Lance) and after an initial delivery glitch I was delighted.

Now onto the glasses I purchased in June of this year, Abbesses in piano black ~£100 with £300 of lenses on top.

I loved them. They hate me. At the end of a day's wear my nose is bleeding where the glasses sit on the side of my nose. Back and forth with Hoolens showing them pics and videos. "You must have a nose shape we haven't designed for". The frames have a natural "pinch point" that perfectly pinches and wears away at my nose.

Initial offer from Hoolens was £100 refund. We all know there is a huge profit on lenses but Hoolens want to keep all of that. Best offer was for £100 refund and 15% discount on new lenses.

Gouging - both the glasses and Hoolens customer service.

I've kept the glasses, I do love the design, but I can't wear for more than three hours so I'm buying a new pair of glasses from specsavers.

Avoid.

Their Words Rang True

Trustworthiness firstly: as a 2nd time customer, I knew they'ed be true to their product's promotion and WOULD deliver as promised. There was no 2nd guessing, we, Lance* campaign 'backers, were kept informed of the entire progress of our Lance* eye glasses' production, despatch & delivery; the Creator/Customer communication was clear & thorough. Then there was their support/help staff who were polite, patient and constructive in assisting me overcome an X'ers Tech-Task nightmare, so that I could complete the order I wanted. (I never felt inadequate during this added instruction I received and was encouraged at every step) All of the above is BEFORE I set eyes on my 2nd pair of eye glasses from this company. Once again, everything the Lance-Hoolans' described about my (ordered), Passy eye-glasses, became 3D reality when I saw them and put them on:- shiny gold, flexible-titanium strong, light as a feather-frames...then the lens/glass: Oh! the exquisite shimmer of blue light on turn of head; the rounded tear drop shape and now, because of these Lance Passy eye-glasses: restored perfect vision again!
Perhaps I could have gone into a reputable glasses store and spent the same on quality glasses, but all those other 'spec's' wouldn't have the elegance & strength and the subtle style features that only the wearer-owners of a pair of L/H's and the Lance Hoolan's folk would know of.

not worth the hassle

The frames are stylish but everything else about this company is abysmal. Shipping is slow, the frame is flimsy, and my order was shipped with the wrong lenses.

After two months of continual chasing for a replacement they finally responded only to send a new pair of lenses without a frame so now I guess it's up to me to assemble the product I should have originally received.

Go elsewhere they are not worth the hassle.

Amazing service

Amazing service! I sent them my old frame for a reglazing, and I received it back cleaned, adjusted with a new set of lenses with my new prescription and Transitions lenses (With the authenticity card! ) . This for the half price compared to my regular optician!!
