Never been picked even when I fall directly into the key demographic of the product. Why should I keep filling out these surveys for selection when I get no word back at all?

Been registered for over a year, left genuine reviews for items I have bought and used, but still to this date not been selected to review any products from this site, so I have unregistered

What you will notice is all the electrical appliances are given to people who have white European names, I have been selected once to review a toothpaste and have been a member for 2 years and completed over 100 reviews with various uploads of items I have purchased myself to boost my chance of obtaining products to review but white European reviewers with 10 or below reviews or some with no reviews get free electrical products to test.

Okay so somebody here mentioned that the reviews on HTC were all phony 5 star reviews because people think that it will get them more products… & that the same names popped up on a lot of other reviews… well yes & no to all of the above. (THIS WILL BE LENGTHY BUT WORTH IT). Some people do believe that they will get more products & they are usually the same profiles leaving reviews. It is a club, after all. Home Tester CLUB. (: Not all reviews are phony. Just the ones where people really want their free items HAHA (who doesn’t).

Most of the time they send out good stuff, But you can always give a bad review if you didn’t like the product. It’s not against their policies LOL I just think some of these people just really enjoy receiving FREE items that they’ll do anything to get more. Which is not a thing! Good or bad reviews don’t affect what gets sent to you or how often.

To qualify, well that depends on how you answer. Each survey is unique to a certain thing. If you think something applies to you, answer what you think is best for yourself. But also don’t be greedy. Don’t lie just to get free stuff. Don’t make genuine testers look bad.

As far as getting chosen, I guess it’s like the lottery when you first apply??? But you win more often as the years go by??? Well maybe that’s not a good comparison but I think you get the point LOL you’ll get chosen if you meet qualifications based on your response. TO BE HONEST THOUGH, one thing that EXTREMELY bothered me when I first signed up, was that it took about 2 whole years to get the ball rolling! *fists shaking in rage at HTC*.

As far as new recruits I’m not sure how all that works. Because it was slow with the products at first. I’ll break down when I received my stuff from when I first joined. (Free to join btw)

I applied around March of 2018, received my first item in May 2018, 4 ítems, May,Oct,Nov,Dec. In 2019, 3 items. Feb,Aug,Sept. In 2020, 8 items, Apr,Jun,Jun,Sept,Oct,Oct,Oct, Dec. In 2021, 10 items, Apr,Apr,Aug,Sept,Oct,Oct,Nov,Nov,Dec, Dec. Now this year, 2022, 12 items. WHICH THIS YEARS ITEMS WERE ALL LOVED AND ENJOYED THANKS HTC. Feb,Feb(fave item, still using! $80 tooth brush),Mar,Mar,Mar,May,Jun,Jun,Aug(my kids absolutely went crazy for this one),Aug,Aug, Aug.

It’s legit. This place is legit 100% REAL FREE FULL SIZED ITEMS. Keep up with your emails, constantly check the website! You’re going to be addicted LOL I am grateful for the plenty of things I have received! Some were terrible, and some were absolutely adored. You get household items, toys for kids if you have kids, baby stuff, FURNITURE!!! BEDS CRIBS TVS BLENDERS DISH SETS CUTLERY SETS REFRIGERATORS!!!! Give it a chance. It might take a while to start receiving a bunch of stuff but it’s so worth the wait. I’m glad I didn’t give up! No I’m not paid or anything (wish I was) but I guess the free items are what pays me to scream to the world THIS IS THE ONLY WEBSITE THAT IS NOT A SCAM AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW!!!!!!! Love you HTC! I have been a member of Home Tester Club for about 3 years or more and I love it! It is definitely legitimate. When I first joined I would register for any products I would be interested in and I received some amazing items! One of the items I received was a Hum electronic toothbrush in a beautiful purple color, which retails for $69.99 and a few other items from brands like Aveeno etc. I started receiving products pretty quickly and it is very easy to register for products and to leave the reviews required after trying the products. I wasn't able to do it as much as I would've liked to because I was a full-time student but I just recently started being active and registering to try new products again so I haven't received anything else yet, but look forward to being more active and getting the opportunity to test products and write honest reviews again. A lot of people are saying that all of the reviews are fake 5* but I always write honest reviews because I depend on reviews for most of my purchases and I want to share my honest opinion and I think a lot of people are honest in their reviews as well. I also noticed people leaving reviews about this being a scam, I'm here to tell you it is NOT a scam and is actually really awesome and worth the patience. I am a part of quite a few programs that send free products to test and leave reviews for and this one is one of my favorites..just give it a shot and be patient and I promise it will pay off!

The reviews left for products on this site are completely worthless. People leave 5* reviews for everything because they believe that will give them a better chance of receiving a free product to test. People would leave a 5* review for a piece of s#it if they think they may get a free tube of toothpaste.
I don't use instagram or facebook so it is obvious that I have ZERO chance of ever being selected for a product test because the companies that submit products to Home Tester to be reviewed are basically just after free advertising.
So, all in all, home tester club is complete rubbish.

Home Tester Club is one of... If not the very best tester's club available. I've been a member for several years now and I have received numerous free products to test & review. I've found that it is by far the most user friendly as well as very simple to do and they require minimal tasks after testing your free product. They only require that you complete a post use survey, uploading a photo or video certainly is encouraged but not required. If you write a review for every free product you receive, you will continue to receive free products in exchange for an honest detailed review. Home Tester's Club is by far my very favorite test & review website.

Look at the names of the testers They always seem to be the same Makes you wonder if they just get info online from "suckers" and use the same people over and over to test Or if the products are available for testing at all Sounds like a huge scam to me

I have received products to review in the past. It's so easy for people to call anything fake nowadays.This site is legitimate.
I belong to two other review sites that send out many products. I'm
consistently receiving products to review, some of them quite pricey, so it's no big deal if Hometester Club doesn't work out for me.

Briliant!! Been a member not even a month and I have received a £210 set of pans! Over the moon, legitiamate company ships products via DPD. Couldnt reccomend more

I registered a few months ago, I’ve left some reviews for things I have bought and tried. I register my interest in most test products. I’ve received two items up to now. Plasters and some noodles. I feel you have to be patient and understand you’re not always going to get selected and also sometimes you have to be willing to test some less glamorous products. At the end of the day, the majority are being given for free (on occasions you might be asked to purchase something at a discounted rate), you can’t expect to be successful all the time. The reviews left on trust pilot I think are unfair, although your experience may not necessarily be the best, it’s not a scam. I mean I’d love to be selected for a shark, dyson or another great quality product but I’m quite happy with what I’ve received. For free. I am actively checking daily for new tests, you win some & you lose some. Hopefully in the future I’ll get to test and review some quality products. But overall my experience is positive.

When I first joined this site in 2014 I got to test 5 products all in that first year or 2. After that I received nothing despite applying over and over. I quit for a couple of years and decided to come back and try again. Same thing, getting nothing. They then sent an email saying that they only send products to those who post reviews and have thousands of points already. So they discriminate and won't let people who don't have a lot of points get anything.
OK so I made 4 reviews and posted a photo to test it out... no points rewarded despite them saying that is how you get said points. *Edit* It seems I had to wait 5 days for points to show up and they are not awarded instantly */edit*. At this stage I am going to say it's a scam for a majority of people or at the very least a waste of time. Maybe if they gave people who haven't had a sample in years something then they would get reviews in return.
Also the reviews are probably bogus anyway, everyone seems to give 4-5 star reviews on everything in the hopes of getting freebies.

We received a tefal steam iron...was really excited to trial the item but it is faulty. Trying to contact Home tester club....totally impossible. Expensive piece of kit. Just can't seem to get this resolved. Unable to use the guarantee as no proof of purchase!! What a waste.

Only joined a month or two ago, and got selected for my first product, it is a legit site you just need to keep applying some things will relate for you, and some won’t, you’re not supposed put what product you have received until the trial period is over, will be leaving honest reviews, also you can review products on their page as well, if you’ve brought or tried them before.
Just be patient when applying as you won’t receive every item you’ve applied or been selected, give it time and patience and look regularly at the product testers see if any apply for you then apply for that product,

Honestly I’m very pleased with the product I received, it’s amazing and would of never expected that from any website before, it is worth the wait and very happy with the product!

It’s not a scam.

I think the ion vac is a very good mini vac. It has 3 settings and it has a lot of power. Picks up all messes and is easy to empty and keep clean. I would recommend this product.

Only been registered a few months and have been selected 3 x now. Received a eye shadow, full size mascara and now a expensive full size cream 50ml is on its way. My first review was concise and honest. Just be patient as they have lots of people to select from but are authentic. I think this site is great and I will continue to review their products happily.

Avoid. Completed a product test and promised a Amazon voucher which has never arrived after they keep on telling me it had been resent. A con and waste of time.

I've been registered to this website for a year now and nothing shows up in the test page. It definitely feels like a scam seeing as I can't even look at products.

Have been a member for several months now and have never once been selected. I'm starting to think this is just a way to harvest your info to sell on to other companies. Complete waste of time at best, a total scam at worst.

I tested several products for this company over a couple of years and really enjoyed it but just about every single product now requires you to upload photos and video to social media. I closed my Facebook account several years ago due to them selling personal data but it seems I'll now have to close this account too. Shame.
