Booking was easy and lots of contact info given if any issues.

The cottage was better than we expected, the hosts were friendly and on hand if needed, the hampers for both us and the dogs were a special treat. Would definitely return.

It was in a good location in regards to its walking areas and places to visit , the cottage had a lovey touch and was super comfortable , we enjoyed it very much

Holiday Cottages could do with more staff in the busy summer months as they were very slow to reply to emails although easy to get through to on the phone.

The booking process was easy and Holiday Cottages were very helpful with all my pre booking enquiries.

Although the cottage we booked was generally clean, when we stripped the beds at the end of the stay we dicovered a very grubby mattress protector in one room and urine stained mattress in another. Clearly there need to be more regular checks on these items. The stair hand rail between the ground and first floor was wobbly and the stair carpet loose on one stair - both a worry with young children. However the photos of the cottage were accurate and my family that stayed in the cottage had a lovely time.

Only downside is the access road is bad unless you have a 4x4 or a van

Booking, paying and communication from the site itself was fine but the standard of the accommodation was well below what I expected given the price of it for 3 nights.

Booked a short break through holiday cottages.co.uk and wasn't let down. We chose Shepherds Linhay in North Petherton, Somerset. A lovely modern one bedroom accommodation with modern amenities and a hot tub. The property is enclosed with a stock fence which was ideal for our dog to go in and out as she pleased without us worrying about her. The views around the Linhay are stunning and it is so tranquil all you could hear was the birds of prey circling above the fields.The whole booking process was simple from start to finish and we were kept updated right up until the day we arrived. The host of Shepherds Linhay, Karen was very accommodating and answered any queries we had and checked in with us along the stay to check we were comfortable or if we needed anything. Would highly recommend booking through holiday cottages.co.uk and would definitely book the Shepherds Linhay in the future.

We all had a lovely stay. Especially the scones and clotted cream tea. Plus the shortbread. A very welcoming treat.
Location ideal house was delightful.
