Love the shoes,hated the wait. That’s all.

HBUK27532 Do not be fooled. This company is essentially a scam. The shoes are cheaply made - not barefoot at all - they are not UK based and their size charts are different for different styles so you can’t simply order your own size. Customer service is non existent - they just keep you hanging on by email asking slightly different questions each time. I bought 2 pairs of shoes in September, both came as different sizes, neither in my regular size and I still don’t have resolution either by refund or right sizes. Now they are threatening that my shoes may be destroyed without refund unless they’re sent by Fed Ex via Germany to the supplier. Not safe and not operating under UK trading standards. Avoid.

This is my 2nd pair of Hobibears. Love them because I have really wide feet and they give me plenty of room. 😍

Absolutely bad experience.
The shoes don’t fit for me. There in no form for return on the site. It’s necessary to ask by email. No answer from the shop. It’s the rule in EU, every buyer should have the possibility to return the goods. You are not honest and your shoes are not good,
I demand to make a return and get back refund as soon as possible

Chinese drop ship scam. Sizing not standard and make it basically impossible to return. They are breaking UK law with the way they're trading.

This is my 4th pair of shoes. I love them all. These ones will be great in the fall with all the rain. I am so excited to wear them

If I could give zero stars I would.

The shoe sole is the correct size but the opening in the shoe is too small to allow my feet in, so the shoes are impossible to wear.

Hobibear refuse to accept that the design and manufacture of the shoes is at fault so they won't accept a return, unless I pay to ship the shoes to Germany (their returns policy say that they will pay for returns if there are design or manufacturing faults).

Now I am stuck with a pair of shoes that I can't wear and a company who refuse to accept responsibility for their mistakes.

Avoid at all costs - do not buy from this company.

The brand is virtual. There is no UK warehouse or stock. 10 days and the shoes were not delivered yet. Avoid, avoid !

I have two pairs. Bought one pair last year unsure about the legitimacy of the site etc but took the punt. Shoes took a while to arrive but are well made and comfy. Just received my high tops and equally love these. They arrived much quicker than expected.

This website is a scam. The shoes arrived and were very poor quality. They make it impossible to return the shoes. I have pursuing a refund throught my credit card provider.

I ordered two pairs of shoes at the same time. After 13 days I contacted them to know the status of my order, and only at that point they told me that one of the models was out of stock. Since then, I've trying to reach them, but my order IS NOT on it's way.
It's really frustrating having to wait 2 to 3 days to get a response and still, informing you what's your order status.

I checked that this was a UK company before I bought - they had a UK address on their website. They offered free returns, so I ordered two pairs of trainers because I wasn't sure which would fit me. They took two weeks to arrive - when I checked the tracking information, they were being shipped from China, which made me worry about the quality of what I had purchased as I have had a bad experience buying from China in the past (which is why I avoid buying from China). To be fair, the trainers that arrived are very comfortable, but now I want to return the pair that doesn't fit me, I find that I will have to pay to return them to Germany - an international shipping fee, which will cost me half of what I paid for the trainers. This is very misleading, but only what I have come to expect from Chinese companies, I'm afraid - they don't care about customer service. If I had known that the returns would not be free (as they promised), I would have only bought one pair.

The shoes I ordered were shipped from China (I would never have order them if I had known. There is nowhere on their website that indicates that this is source location of the product). They took 2 weeks to arrive and when they did, the fit wasn’t right and the sole much thicker than I was expecting so, I contacted them for return details. They keep offering my an alternative to return and refund. The only was I can get a refund is by paying postage to Germany to send the items to a warehouse there. This option was given to me with the thinly veiled threat of ‘it will expense over for you’. They’ve offered me a voucher for more of their shoes and even a second pair of their shoes that I don’t want. It seems like they’ll do anything to abound a refund. Terrible service and I feel conned. I may as well have thrown the money away I spent on these shoes.

Order date of goods 22/09/2025. This company, clearly try to convince you that they follow through a good service of communication, which to be fair they do, but they either need to check the couriers they use, for honesty, if they actually do use any! Photos of proof of delivery to my property were supposedly taken. The house was clearly not mine but other proof of photos of the surrounding area were taken from a website of our address, somehow. Where bells stated to ring with me was that one of the photos was a field of our cattle taken from the courier on the supposed delivery day, 18/10/25, those actual cows were sold at the begining of September 2025!!!!

Quick delivery and they were a comfortable ! I work on my feet all day. I have severe arthritis and bunions on my feet. I wore them the entire day with no pain ! I bought the leather ones. I hope they have more colors in leather because I’m ready to buy pair number 2

Difficult one to work out the correct score here. First pair were great despite my low expectations. Nice fit and very comfortable. So nice I decided to get a second pair in a different style. The second pair arrived very quickly and despite being marked the same size are much larger.

I contacted customer service and their answer was nonsense. Apparently different styles of shoes have different sizes which is daft, a size is a size. I could understand if they were a little wider or similar but they're just way longer!

Very happy with my shoes. I was alarmed at the negative reviews but honestly I can't understand them. The shoes are great. Nice wide toe box as advertised. Sizing was great too.

It too two weeks for the shoes to arrive - obviously from China - to the Uk. I could have done without that. And Indid worry that I had been scammed. But the shoes have arrived well packaged externally and supported internally with packaging so they didn't get damaged in transit.

I love these shoes!! They fit very well, and are so comfortable! As soon as I put them on, they felt so confortable, and I wore them right away. Plenty of room for my toes to move around. The sole is nore protective than most 'barefoot' shoes, too. Good job on a great shoe!
