Monster is my favorite job board. I have been using it for years and always recommend to Management that we renew every year.

I have used monster for the past 10 years and get some of the best candidates through this company. Our service rep is awesome too! Thanks!

After using Monster for quite a few hires over the last 5 years with half our staff hired from Monster and never having a problem, our last very recent experience has not been a good one. We are extremely perplexed by this. Trying to contact and get a response from the customer service rep has been difficult and finally when contact was made poor results continued to the extent that our posting was shut down without our authorization even though we remitted up front. Applicants have been calling us directly to find out if the position is still open and we are days away from expiration. Also, the response for the posting is the worst response we have ever had and upon discussing this with the rep we were directed to a mountain of resumes (no criteria) that we were supposed to weed through. They really need to train the customer service people thoroughly and empower them to help the client. It has been a very unpleasant experience.
Out of 50 responses, only 5 met our qualifications.

I would never use this company again! After a week after I posted my add, someone called to see if I meant to keep the company name private , that they just got around to to notifying me! I lost an entire week of advertising because I wasn't notified in a timely matter. When I spoke to a supervisor about being refunded, they said they call me by the following Monday, which they never did! I received resumes from other states but very few from area. I tried to speak to the supervisor on my own, but never did!
Everything on Monster.com is focused on sales, bud if the sales is done there is no much an recruiter or employer can envoi. We are very disappointed about the provided candidate management system, respectively the not good enough tools they provide to teach an recruiter how to use their systems. You should take sometime a look at your competitors in pricing and provided management tools.
they huff and puff and tell you how great everything is and they are doing you a favor. They try to raise your prices and make you wait until the last minute to come to their senses.

Monster is much more than the product, it's customer service at its best. Our representative, Adam Butera, has been very helpful and has positioned himself as a true partner in our business.

Monster is easy to navigate and use and has features that are helpful to the recruitment process. Never had any issues with the service at all.

Monster is a good recruiting tool to have in your tool box. For industry specific niches it can be hard to find the right candidate even with all of the extra recruitment aids, but still a source worth utilizing. Very good customer service.

Monster has been stagnant over the years. They've nearly stopped all advertising making their website fall behind its competition.

Sales guys literally lying to sell product but not keeping the word. They sold the product for 10K and terminated the contract after 6 months. Very unethical business practices.
I get great results from Monster, but posting my job could be easier. I have difficulty in retrieving old job descriptions, posting where I want to, and selecting what it should be posted under. The interface is difficult to use and is somewhat clunky.

salary range should be part of the candidate info when doing a candidate search before opening the candidates profile
It should be mandatory the candidate puts in salary range

A mistake was made, the sales rep would not call me back. I had to contact the accounting staff several times. I finally spoke to the Sales Manager who refused to help me even though this was clearly an error on Monster's part. I had to escalate the issue all the way up to the CEO of my company to get the issue resolved. I am extremely dissatisfied.
Monster, about a decade ago, was a fantastic job board for finding and hiring engineering talent. We signed a long-term agreement with them that was supposed to allow us access to their entire candidate database system and when they bought&integrated new companies like talentbin, instead of adding those resumes/profiles to their existing talent database they made a new product that forced us to either pay more money for it or to just not use it... when you sign an agreement for access to an entire candidate database you should have access to it so we opted not to pay them any more money and frankly have felt cheated by them. DO NOT TRUST ANY AGREEMENT FOR LONGER THAN ONE YEAR THAT YOU SIGN WITH MONSTER! We found there's been a decrease in both applications to our job postings and the amount of candidates returned on searches year-to-year. Before we signed the long term deal, Monster produced between 4 to 8 hires a year; after signing the long term agreement the best year they have had was 3 candidates from Monster hired, only had 1 hire via them last year and we have not made a hire from Monster this year as of May 2016. Be extremely cautious doing business with them, when they change their products instead of grandfathering you in and keeping you within your budget that you contractually signed to they will try to squeeze more money from you for a product that has consistently returned fewer results year by year.
Monster has been good to us over the years for finding qualified candidates. Typically the applications/candidate resumes are a decent fit for the roles we have advertised.
Only minor complaints. When positing a job, the categories which a specific job falls under (mostly technology related) need to be added/updated to include more current positions. Also, when positing a job description, even when using the included 'copy/paste' tool, the formatting is inconsistent. (font size change, bullet points are further apart...etc.)
