Hilti reps waste of time ! Never get back to you ! Trying to buy tools etc they are the best tools but try and get them ! I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to put in an order my local rep is just impossible Kaleem ?? Now I’ve been talking to another rep Frank well what can I say ??? Still just waiting maybe this is why the tools are very very very expensive

I have held a Hilti account for well over twenty years and throughout that period have invested a considerable amount of money in their power tools, which I still class as some of the best and most reliable on the market.

My issues are with the company ethos for the past few years where they simply are not interested in providing any quality of service for little sole traders. Unless you are spending big money regularly you are treated as second class, for example shutting down credit accounts without even informing the customer, not willing to demonstrate any tools whatsoever and not providing any sort of customer liaison when things go wrong and they are at fault.

My other gripe is with the current area represent who constantly cold calls me throughout the year with so called offers but can I get a demo of any of these tools, not a chance and even after telling him he was harassing me and I’d be making a complaint about his conduct he still contacts me!

My current issue has been with trying to send a tool back for a repair, firstly booking the tool in for service through the website which I thought was all arranged only to receive emails requesting my credit card details before they would take the tool. Then after speaking to a gentleman customer service representative who was calling me ‘mate’ but could not even be bothered putting a note on the system for the courier. I then receive a cold call directly afterwards from the area rep saying it would be more economical to buy a new tool than have the existing one repaired and giving me false information about a so called deal, which was deceptive!

The list of failures went on from there, in that the courier they use DHL e-commerce did not come and pick the tool up
despite me waiting in all afternoon.

Needing a tool to run my business I was forced to purchase a new replacement as I could not wait around for maybe another no show to pick up and more downtime whilst the tool was in for repair.

After speaking to a more professional lady customer services representative I am hoping the new tool will turn up tomorrow without anymore inconvenience being caused to me.

It is a real shame as this use to be a very good company to deal with. I think they need to take a look at the way they treat smaller companies as every paying customer should feel valued!

Thieves. I bought some £100 nails from their website and they went ahead and charged my card over and over and over again. They took over £3k from my bank and I can't get them to refund.

Zero notice of auto-renewal on the software. Charged me for a year of software without sending an email to remind about the renewal. Did not answer a single customer support message. Simply appalling customer service.

Working as a primary contractor and entered discussions with our account rep for a couple thousand fixings, cartridges and tools, each tool was expensive - over £1,000, but to be expected from a 'premium' brand. Both tools broke within 2 weeks, had to argue for free repair as apparently a faulty piston from manufacture on BOTH guns wasn't covered by warranty. Tools are still not back form repair causing significant delays on site. Not to mention severe issues with getting correct cartridges to site, and a absolute struggle to exchange items ordered incorrectly by my account manager. Avoid at all cost if you have deadlines to meet or are expecting a long lasting tool given the price point!

I’ve order brand new sds from Hilti cost me £700!!!!! Great tool but I would appreciate to get al least tool box for it or do I need to pay 300£ more?!!?!

Had a small socket set , bought through a former employer . Only used occasionally but when I needed to use it for a more strenuous job it failed miserably. I was using the ratchet and a 16 mm socket with an extension bar and the end of both bar snapped clean . The ratchet also broke. This is dangerous and could have caused a serious accident. Hilti rep did nothing and didn’t want to know.

Very bad customer service! We are getting charged for loan tool and our tool is still with the repair centre.

Best tools worst service, refused to repair the tool warranty until 2026, said not registered in the UK

There should be an option for zero stars, arranged a collection for a certain date, tried to collect before arranged date, eventually collected on agreed date, then continued to try and collect 5 consecutive days afterwards. Whenever I called Hilti to try to resolve, I was constantly lied to, failed promises and call backs that never happened, appalling service.

Bought a brand new rod cutter. Broke down with in a few weeks. Sent back for repairs and still waiting. Been over a week when there turn around time is 3 days. What a joke hilti are now.

Purchased items then cancelled following day but they still withdrew funds from bank. Phoned over 4 times to get a refund and monies returned to bank over a week gone and still no sign on monies been returned.

Put my pm-4m laser in to he checked and they sent me a quote for repair which was more than I paid for in brand new
Don’t think I will ever use them again

We got a quote for some bits, excepted the quote, paid extra for next day before 10.30am delivery and they didn't bother sending it, or telling us we had been quoted the wrong price before not sending it! So we've had two people on site unable to work. This is not the first time! This is so unprofessional. Every time you try to use Hilti Great Britain there is a new rep as the previous one has left, I think that says it all!

Once a company to buy from not radioactive!

Needed fixings for a rush job, called call centre as Belfast centre telephone number is a national secret.

Yeah Belfast has a box but only one, call them. Well got secret number, ring ring, no answer?

So have to drive across town, arrive, “Oh computers down can’t do the sale!”

I asked with two here why didn’t you pickup the phone. Blank stare.

Useless after sale service. I need accessories for WSC 85 circular saw (a rail adapter and a dust extractor adapter) - NOT AVAILABLE!!! What a joke of the company!!! Overly expensive tools with no service support!! Just stay away from them.

Two confirmed orders not delivered, customer service hopeless, their courier Menzies don’t turn up. Two completely lost days due to their incompetence. Area sales rep Stuart Hilton is a total spineless wonder who does not pick up the phone or return calls, I will never give this company the light of day again after spending good money with them for over 20 years

We’ve been really happy with Hilti tools and the service we’ve received. Excellent customer care and sales advice from our local area representative, Rick Kerfoot. We’ve been so impressed with Rick we’ve now bought our eight tool with him.

Dreadful Customer Service Team - have now called 8 times to try to get a broken Hilti drill collected - always told it will be the next day (Via Menzies), never turn up. Customer Services never call back, nor does the Care Team (despite being given a reference number), nor does the Account Manager.
Wouldn't pay them with 'washers'.
