The bidding process was very good - smooth, no issues or errors. Trying to obtain a list of items by Category is a challenge. Two reasons: 1. the system doesn't "hold" the Location I select. It goes b... See more

The bidding was fine. A tip for anyone bidding - don't forget that whatever you are bidding on you add the dollar charge, sellers fee and taxes. That $20 item may now be $27.76. If you are comparing... See more

HiBid has always been an easy process…

HiBid has always been an easy process to become acquainted with and utilize. I have purchased several items off HiBid and have never had an issue. My only negative remark would be sellers actually utilizing the Shipping/No Shipping icon. Three auctions I found with items I was following had the shipping icon set as "Shipping Available" but if you read down in the auction details it would mention those items would not be shipped. I would hate to be caught bidding on an item that had shipping available and win the auction only to find out that the item would not be shipped. Otherwise it has been an outstanding source and auction site.

Great experience

Some of the items that I won were not 100% functional but fair enough as it is a "AS IS" basis. However I failed to check all items nor did I count the number of items that I won. What I did not receive and not included in the box was a Lot #127, CLEARinse Nasal Aspirator for $6. Thank you

Easy process!

Easy to use the site while bidding/ watching. It would have been very helpful to have more pictures of some of the boxes that contained multiple items.
Gentlemen who was running the auction, Pete, was very helpful, polite, and overall great.

Weekly Live Auctioneer Format Went to Online Only for Easter

An online auction format where multiple items are closing within seconds of one another allows one little to no time to review additional items available for sale. This can involve enlarging and examining an item’s photo(s) for overall condition, using a tape measure, yardstick, or ruler at home to accurately visualize size since close-ups, by nature, make items appear larger than they actually are, and research recent sales. The latter is just as important for new, old stock, bulk, pallet purchases as it is with antiques. Remembering the original, purchase price from one's childhood or earlier years is in no way related to a collectible’s value later (comic books and rookie sports cards are prime examples of that) and new, old stock can be expensive. If one has never considered purchasing a specialty, high-end, kitchen item(s) or gadget(s) before, his or her bidding decisions will be based on more common, inexpensive items/gadgets. That’s potential auction revenue lost!

New items in regular “weekly” auctions have been historically posted as late as one day before their auction occurs and are often interspersed amongst previously posted listings as alphabetic additions such as #18a, 18b, 18c, etc., following #18 so ALL listings must be scrolled through to discover what is new. Sometimes I don’t want to bother and just wait to see what, if anything, looks interesting as I’m waiting for a specific item or items to close.

Hi-Bid's soft close, 1-minute extensions can actually leave someone monitoring multiple auctions simultaneously. It is very unrealistic to suggest one place their maximum bid beforehand since that number is semi-fluid. Hypothetically, one can decide $50 is his or her sweet spot bid, but paying an amount more when facing competition is common. It’s not paying $55 for an item, but rather $5, $10, etc., more which is essentially throwaway money. People will easily spend that buying a snack and/or beverage in a grocery or hardware store check-out line. The thought is often, “I’ll buy a few less coffees this week to make-up the difference or go out to eat one less time."

As for the auction format itself . . . the 30 second delay on updates . . . bid history being lost after closing . . . weak search capabilities . . . I’ll say HiBid "functions.” For one familiar with eBay and I’ve been a member since 1999, HiBid can be frustrating to use. I’ve learned to back into searches (including when auctions are active) by searching for a specific word within 25 miles of the auction facility’s zip code. It SHOULDN'T be this way. I’m using my computer literacy and eBay familiarity to get more from HiBids current software capabilities. If I had to choose one update, tighten-up HiBids search abilities.

Very easy to bid

Very easy to bid. Good selection. Bids remained reasonable in most cases. I have still not paid or picked up but I'm expecting that to be equally convenient

I am currently waiting for a response…

I am currently waiting for a response with a winning bidding item that as soon as we opened the box it was damaged. Also disappointed in the misleading information that was on the website we expected another colour that was displayed only to find out once we opened the link after it was a much different colour. More importantly there was so much damage on the item after it was displayed on the website as brand new

Counterfeit collectible trading cards

So Mojave collectibles and I think the other auctioneer was called pickers you can see on my account but they are selling counterfeit Pokemon and their description said that they were rare vintage Pokemon cards and when I confronted them about that they said that it's all sales are final blah blah blah and I want my money back because their description was deceptive maliciously and the fact that you guys are allowing them to sell fake Pokemon cards is another huge issue trading cards in general counterfeit cards ruin the industry please make sure that people selling stuff on your platform are being honest with their description of the product and not intentionally trying to dupe people into buying fake shit with a description saying it's real.
