Since 1989, we have been providing compassionate, person-centred care at home to individuals across the UK. Our journey started in a small house in Warwickshire, and today, we have over 150 branches across the country. This growth has allowed us to extend our exceptional care and make a bigger difference while allowing our customers to remain in the place they love. Our carers are kind and compassionate individuals who always go the extra mile. They are fully trained to provide the highest level of care, no matter what condition you are living with. We are also recognised for delivering specialist dementia care, a service we have enhanced through our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. This has allowed us to provide our carers with dementia training to help support our customers living with different types of dementia. Our service is fully regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. We are proud to have received an overall rating of GOOD, and the CIW reported that our carers go “above and beyond, doing things that are ‘not on the list’.

It was easy to set up Helping Hands for my Dads care who lives over 160 miles away from me and he was very pleased with the care he received.

Helping Hands are such a comfort they allow me to work whilst knowing mum is getting the best care. The fact that they can cover unforeseen needs is also a real benefit.

I have twice been sent an email asking how things are going so thought i should write a proper review.
I am really pleased with all support workers and for all that they do for me, however i have found that my support plan has been changed a while ago which i did not request.
As i had originally requested when i joined helping hands my regular support workers are always in plain clothes which is my personal preference but my support plan was changed stating support workers not to wear uniforms when out in the community which leaves new ones to assume i am ok with uniforms when i am at home.
Please change this to read 'no uniforms on any visit' whether i am out in the community or at home.

The people I have met, who are working with Helping Hands, combine a very professional attitude with remarkable empathy and understanding of human challenges and sensitivities.

Very good care by professional, kind and generally punctual carers, whose heart is in the right place.
My wife, who is the recipient of the care is very happy with the carers. The carers do go over and above their responsibilities

Helping Hands has been a good company for us. The carers are friendly and professional and efficient but not rushed.
We usually have Zoe unless she is on leave.
The rota is sent beforehand. Occasionally it is changed which does not matter for us.
A supervisor visits every few weeks.
We would recommend this company. They employ their own staff rather than using agency staff.

Highly reliable service. Friendly compassionate carers. Excellent communication between carers, office and ourselves if there was ever anything they felt we should know. I would highly recommend Helping Hands.

I book HH on behalf of my sister in law. She enjoys the company of Charlene who also takes her out when able. It is easy to book a visit by phoning the local office. The only negative is that the cancellation preriod has recently changed from 48 hours to 7 days. This change means that we do not make a regular booking but phone when we want to arrange a visit.

Appalling initial service. First assessment appointment made in the care home for our elderly mother following a fall resulting in a broken humerus & being hospitalised. Appointment made for 13.30. No company representative by 13.45. Contacted office & advised running late & stuck in traffic. Will
arrive in approx 20 mins. Still no one arrived. Contacted several times during the next hour to no avail. Finally contacted & asked for a manger who did return my call. It transpired that the appointment hadn't been added to the serving branch diary so a representative was never going to attend. Why was I lied to on my first call where I was told the representative was running late.
You only get one chance at a first impression..... certainly wouldn't recommend Helping Hands.
