Not the greatest detail for parts and how they go together. Not bad but not as comprehensive as i would have hoped. Still very useful.

Only complaint would be on image 4.7 Valve Cover fastener location. Arrow for pointing out the bolt in the middle of the valve cover in-between the coil packs was missing. One could not notice this and use to much force causing damage to the cover.

I am very pleased with the manual. As an older rider I love having a hard copy and look forward to getting oily finger prints all over it.

My comment is this - The detail is quite comprehensive - very impressed - the quality of the paper is not what I am use too. Seems a bit furry - also the manual is not A4 size - the font size could be a little larger. Yes all these things add cost - I for one do not have an issue with paying for quality products.

Where do I start? I have a Haynes manual for the 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado and recently purchased a new Haynes manual for a Chevrolet Silverado 2020-2024. I have to admit something significant happened in the years that passed between these two publications! The content is subpar and borderline misrepresentation. The technical writers in this new manual should be ashamed. The older manual was written on basic non-glossy paper stock while every page on the new publication is a high gloss paper stock. Who asked for this? Is this their way of obscuring the fact that the content is poorly written? On page 130 of the new manual clearly states that if you want wiring diagrams then use the QR code to find them on-line. I cannot find them on-line. When I asked Haynes about this they said their IT group is working on it. OK, so they couldn't produce them electronically? So then print them in the book like you used to do! The other major issue of poor technical writing is that througout the old edition each dagram or photo is both numbered and given a caption explaining what you are looking at. Also in the text of the old manual it refers specically to the diagram/photo number when explaining the procedure for maintenance and repair. In the new "glossy" version they number the very nice looking diagrams of parts removal or replacement but no where in the text for repair does it refer to the illustration number. None of the illustrations are captioned and therefore one is left to wonder which of the multple illustrations on the page the instruction is referring to? Also while the instructions may mention bolt "1" there may be multiple illustrations with a "1" referencing a part. Without knowing which illustration you should be looking at how is one to know which part the author is referring to? They almost write the manual for the person that knows the vehicle inside and out and does not need the manual! Who wrote this? At this time I don't know whether to swear in British terms or U.S. terms. All I know is terrible job and never again. In this day and age when automobile manufacturers are no long publishing service manuals, you really need to step up your game and do a better job. I would be more than happy to offer proof reading.

It could do with some modern touch ups - new photos, etc Its not like the 98 Landcruiser isn't iconic. Plus my model came with a sunroof and I couldn't find any ref in the book.
