I strongly recommend avoiding Harvey Water Softeners.
In my experience, the company’s premium pricing and polished sales pitch are completely disconnected from the quality of its installation and after-sales service. My system was installed incorrectly, the drinking-water/kettle tap leaked, and the resulting damage was substantial. I then had to spend more than a month chasing Harvey to resolve problems that should never have existed after a professional installation.
After all of that, Harvey offered just £200 in compensation. That is laughable given the damage, disruption, time wasted and repeated effort required to get them to address their own mistakes.
This is why the company feels borderline like a scam: you pay a substantial premium for specialist installation and dependable support, but once Harvey has taken the money, accountability disappears. A premium supplier should inspect its work properly, respond immediately to leaks, cover the damage it causes and compensate customers fairly. Harvey failed on all of those points in my case.
Harvey: do not reply with a copy-and-paste message asking me to email you. I already did. Your team is fully aware of the situation. Address the actual complaint instead of posting a generic public-relations response.
The product itself is not the main issue. The problem is paying premium-brand prices while receiving poor workmanship, weak quality control, unacceptable aftercare and derisory compensation when things go wrong.
Avoid Harvey. Use a reputable independent local water-softener specialist instead.

Ricky Scott, the delivery driver, was absolutely brilliant. He was friendly, polite, and went above and beyond during the delivery. He kindly helped carry the heavy salt bags inside the house, which I really appreciated.

I have ordered block salt many times through Culligan. The website is easy to use, product arrives quickly and is reasonably priced.
The delivery driver Stuart is very helpful dropping the salt into our garage and friendly.

After booking a house demonstration I received a quote for the installation of a HarveyArc water softener Wifi Enabled 750 Litre for £2171.50.
As this price was not within our budget we decided to give it a pass. About a month later I received another email saying “Your quote just got better — save up to £375” and as it was my birthday I decided I am going to give myself a treat and go for it. After receiving the new revised invoice I have noticed that the water softener device model was changed to Harvey HV4 750L. As I was about to find out this is an inferior model. When I questioned this with Gayna Sullivan Customer Relationship Manager I was told that this information was included in the offer email and that actually they cannot apply the discount on my actual quote. The reason I am leaving 1 star is because I double checked the email and the information is nowhere clear and my expectations as a customer was to get a discount on the product I wanted, not to be pushed a different inferior product using sale tactics that are meant to deceive you.

I recently had a Harvey water softener installed following my old one breaking.
The installation itself was excellent. From the initial quotation through to the installation, everything was handled quickly, professionally and without any issues. I was really impressed with the whole process.
Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the courier Harvey uses to deliver the salt. DHL claimed on multiple occasions that delivery had been attempted when I was at home waiting for the parcel. They did not press the buzzer (I live in a flat ) I had taken several days off work specifically to receive the delivery, yet it never arrived whilst they were lying about trying to deliver it. To make matters worse, there was no direct way for me to contact DHL to resolve the issue.
Harvey's customer service did everything they could to liaise with DHL, but it was incredibly difficult to make any progress. James, in particular, was outstanding throughout the whole situation. He was empathetic, proactive and kept me updated with regular phone calls, so I always knew what was happening. On the third delivery attempt, the driver drove away without delivering the salt as they could not be bothered to get out of the van and press the buzzer but James managed to contact DHL and get the driver to turn around and return.
Unfortunately, after all of these so-called "delivery attempts", a lot of the salt had been damaged in transit. James immediately arranged for replacement salt.
James is the only reason I didn't cancel the whole order and leave a negative review. His customer service was exceptional, and he genuinely cared about getting the issue resolved rather than simply passing me between departments.
My only recommendation to Harvey is to seriously reconsider using DHL for salt deliveries. Harvey's products and customer service are excellent, but the delivery experience did not reflect the quality of the rest of the business. A better courier would make the entire customer experience match the high standard set by your own staff.
Despite the delivery issues, I would happily recommend Harvey because the installation was faultless and James provided some of the best customer service I've received in a long time.

just had a delivery of Harveys block salt for my water softener. The delivery driver, Stuart Chapman, was excellent, from telephoning the delivery time in advance, offering to carry the heavy blocks up to our second floor flat and assisting me further by placing them near the the water softener cupboard. All done with a pleasant manner. Much appreciated Stuart, especially as I am mobility impaired at present.

The team at Woking Harveys are great and gave me advice on what water to use for my iron. I also needed a replacement water cartridge for my tap and Rory was really helpful in finding the correct cartridge.

Good to speak to a person and not a robot when I telephoned my order. The salt has just been delivered by a very helpful and cheerful Stuart Chapman. We had our first water softener installed by Waterways in 1992 and have been dealing with them ever since. I think that says it all. Thank you.

Our Harvey water softener was installed in Broardstairs Kent by Aron Sheridan who did an excellent job. The installation was complicated requiring a hard water outside tap installed (existing one is for soft water window cleaning) and the softener unit was tucked away at the end of a utility room (not under the sink). So far the system works well and I can check salt levels via the Harvey App.

Culligan Harvey's service was excellent. When DHL mislaid half of the first consignment, CH rectified the deficiency quickly. 3 dual blocks in a package is too heavy for old people to handle. The couriers also find it heavy and breakages occur from dropped packages on delivery.
