I instructed Harrison Clarke on my HMO project

I instructed Harrison Clarke on my first HMO project, which required a Party wall agreement on both adjoining properties. I initially called the office & their admin team quickly collated all the documents required & arranged for my case to be handled by Emma Smith. Emma has been extremely professional, visiting the property & communicating clearly with all parties involved to ensure the award was agreed. This has been a great experience & I look forward to working with Harrison Clarke again. Thank you to all the team! James

Avoid. Will cost you money and cause stress. Poor surveying and service.

Poor surveying, Unprofessional service and customer service is lacking.

We lost money due to their lack of attention and when confronted with their mistakes (confirmed by independent parties and after discussing for over 5 months) are unwilling to resolve and discuss the issues.

They missed a very obvious rodent problem in the loft of the property (smell, droppings, track and gnaw marks etc.). The pestcontrol immediately confirmed that this case had been present for a long time, and that a level 3 survey would have immediately spotted this. It made us believe that the surveyor did not even bother to enter into the loft as it would be impossible to miss the stench and marks (as we found out ourselves).

It caused a lot of frustration also as the management (Tim) is unreachable, says he will call but does not; meetings are planned but does not show up etc. (Going on for over 5 months). He is unwilling to provide any form of reasonable reimbursement of their (failed) service costs as of yet.

Read: only a fraction of what was paid to them to provide said level 3 survey was requested to cover minor repair costs due to their negligence.

It caused a lot of stress, especially as first time buyers, and we worry they overlooked other obvious aspects that we might encounter in the future.

Avoid. It is disappointing as we requested and paid for the higher level of service to cover these issues, and we received zero level surveying and service. They will cost you money, and the management obviously does not care about their line of work and is unwilling to cover even the tiniest of misjudgment of their staff.

Hence, I can only say that they are here to take your money without any intent to do a proper survey.

I approached Sam Eslinger of Harrison Clarke for advice on spray foam removal from a loft. Extremely helpful and insightful response. Totally professional approach from start to finish.

I recently used Harrison Clarke…

I recently used Harrison Clarke Surveyors for a RICS Level 3 Survey and I couldn’t be happier with the service. I was working under tight time pressures and they managed to deliver one of the quickest turnarounds in Southampton, while also being one of the most competitively priced.

David Walbridge and the team were excellent throughout. The survey was detailed, clear and thorough, and even after I had paid, they were more than happy to answer follow-up questions and guide me through the findings.

Genuinely great service and I’m extremely grateful for their help. Highly recommended.

Efficient and thorough level 3 survey

We had a level 3 survey prepared by Ben Thorner of Harrison Clarke. It was easy to organise and the survey was detailed and thorough.

I spoke to Ben twice afterwards, once to go through the findings and then again when something else came up in the information provided by the seller. He was very helpful both times and was happy to make the time to speak.

Quality team,

Clear website, prompt responses, roughly a weeks turnaround from surveyor visit to receiving the report.
I was impressed with all the staff members that dealt with me.
The report it's self was impressively detailed and easy to under stand.
It is not often nowadays you get what feels like a top class service.

Experienced and helpful - 5 star service

I reached out to Harrison Clarke and had help from Faye Williamson for a complex party wall issue. I was impressed by her expertise and experience, she was patient, practical and gave me a huge amount of insight and advice. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are looking for a professional team with expertise and experience. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you Faye!

Survey on a house we're purchasing

We recently had a survey completed on a house were looking to buy, and are very happy with Harrison Clarke! Coleen was really helpful with getting our survey booked in and providing us with loads of info on the difference between the surveys. Sound advice

My roof space was inspected and afterwards was given a full and clear report. I asked questions and was given a clear explanation. I also had some sound advice. I have since received the written report which is clear with full details and is very helpful. I do recommend Harrison Clarke.

I was referred to Harrison Clarke by my estate agents

I was referred to Harrison Clarke by my buyers mortgage broker so was a bit concerned about a bias but this team delivered great pragmatic advice and report in a really quick turnaround. The surveyor was thorough and explained everything in easily understandable language. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them for any job big or small!

Great experience working with Sam at Harrison Clarke.

We recently engaged Harrison Clarke for a party wall agreement and worked with Sam throughout the process. It was our first time going through this, and Sam was extremely helpful. She was patient and understanding with all of our questions, clear and concise in her explanations, and very knowledgeable. She made what I thought would be a stressful process very simple.
