I can honestly say this is some of the best coffee i've had in a long time. From the moment i opened the bag, the aroma was rich and inviting - you can tell the beans are fresh and high quality.

Been with them for over a year now.

The new blend and branding are great fun but still seriously good 😊

I love the Costa Rica coffee . I recently ran out and bought some other coffee beans from the supermarket as a stop gap and they were really bland and insipid. I have other tried many other quality coffees too when away and this coffee , for me, ticks all the boxes and is my absolute favourite. Great customer service too with a recent delivery issue , which was totally my fault…

the business has now been taken over and it was originally a clear 5 star business the owner Scott was very helpful. knoweledgeable and importantly offered a greast and couteius service to his customers I used them for yesrs and was happy with the 2 main blends which they sold, under new ownership the experience has been pretty poor average sat best. prices hiked by 50% mainly because they only use couriers which would be fine however when i recently tried to place an order, despite paying courier delivery price my order was going to take 4 days min to arrive so i was going to be out of coffee. when I queried this I was told to find another supplier so that's what I've reluctantly had to do. shame they don't value customers anymore Scott the original owner went above and beyond its a shame that the great reputation he had built up is being destroyed now. the company now trades as cool beans. has a high staff turnover which tells its own story too they claim that Happy donkey had a 4 day delivery time but that's not true Scott the original owner dispatched the same day via Royal Mail 24 service so It would be received the next day

If you passionately enjoy interesting coffee, however it’s made, I would highly recommend Happy Donkey are worth a try. Their excellent range of coffee is both interesting and delightful. We love their dark roast, bold and massively characterful Classic Italian Blend in our morning, single shot, long cortados.
Ordering couldn’t be simpler and consistently with 2 working day delivery, communication and options by DHL.

Italian blend is not amazing. I thought maybe the grind or temperature was producing a slightly bitter coffee but I now think it is just this blend. I will stick to Caffe Vergnano 1882 beans. Service was fine and no complaints otherwise but don't rate this particular blend.

Ordered coffe from Happy Donkey for some years. Great coffee. For one reason or another I can't log onto my account. Asked for help a several times to get my account reset. Was told to send email with my order instead. Did but no reply back at all. Shame.

I found happy donkey by chance whilst looking to local businesses near my workplace to help with a charity drive for Christmas. Not only did Kev help us out with the drive but allowed me to sample the coffee for free. I used to buy my beans from Mancoco in Manchester but having tried the classic Italian blend from here I have decided to make a permanent switch. If you're looking for a rich and flavorful coffee with a deep, robust taste, their classic Italian blend is an excellent choice. The beans are roasted to perfection to produce a smooth and full-bodied cup of coffee. Overall, I highly recommend Happy Donkey. For those who love a rich and flavorful cup of coffee. Whether you're enjoying it in the morning or as an afternoon pick-me-up, a good Italian blend is sure to satisfy your coffee cravings, or check out their selection. I've been buying my coffee from these guys for a few years. Generally the service is good, the prices are excellent, and the coffee is decent. This seems to have continued despite a modest increase in prices since they have apparently been recently bought by 'Cool Beans'.
I generally buy the Brazilian coffee beans and would give these 3 of 5 stars. I've drunk hundreds of cups of this coffee in espresso, cappuccino, latte, filter coffee etc. I buy this coffee as it makes a drinkable cup, at a very good price, and is fair trade, but there are absolutely better coffees on the market.

Happy donkey coffee is reasonable for the price. Delivery cost is reasonable. There's nothing to complain about. The espresso blend is a robusta/arabica blend, has a high caffeine content and produces huge quantities of crema (thanks to the robusta content) using a bottomless portafilter and unpressurised basket combo. The dark, oily beans are roasted way past the second crack. It's OK coffee basically, but there are better espresso blends out there in the same price range from other independent roasters.

Brilliant service and great product - coffee and machinery. Scott at Happy Donkey goes the last mile and supplied me with a Iberital Grinder that came faster than I had thought possible!

Ordered my first grinder (ibertial MC 2) and some beans arrived next day well packaged and tracked delivery!

Tried some at a friends house and thought the beans were great. Currently trying the costa rican beans with a moka pot.

I originally ordered a manual grinder from Coffee Box but had a terrible experience so decided to invest in a electric grinder and happy donkey pulled through with a great experience!

Will definatley buy again!

Had a good experience with Happy Donkey. I ordered 58.5 coffee tamper which is a really nice quality, heavy and feels strong. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but two nice glass coffee shot glasses ordered too. Delivery came within a couple of days which was pretty impressive especially because of covid and Christmas at the moment.
