Update. Having now spoken to a manager, they listened to the phone conversations and agreed to waive the additional fee as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ as it was clear it was never mentioned or agreed to and none if their paperwork made it clear or stated the fee. The manager was far more helpful however they still would not take responsibility for the ‘hidden fees’ and I definitely think they need to change their processes and paperwork to be more upfront about it. It also did not entirely remove the bad feeling caused by the previous bad service and ‘threats’ on previous phone calls. That is why I cannot award 5 stars.

Absolutely terrible experience. The ‘managers’ on the phone were very aggressive and unprofessional. When I enquired I was informed they would take 15% of the compensation and that there were no other fees involved. They then tried to take 25% of any compensation plus a fee of £350 for an ‘insurance policy’ that was never discussed or agreed to. When I suggested cancelling the claim they threatened to take me to court to pursue their costs from me despite telling me beforehand I would have no costs whatsoever!!!! Absolutely terrible experience, I will now be taking my complaint to the law society.

Hampson Hughes took my claim on only to drop it at the thought of going to court ,
Also they charge 25% of your money as well as there own huge bill to other parties
Very poor service and have ruined my claim and my sons as other solicitors will not take my claim on which was a very straight forward non fault road traffic accident.
I won’t ever use or will be recommending them ever .
