Terrible!!!!!!

I ordered a 12 pound weight a month and a half ago. I spent way too much because they were the only ones who had stock. They charged my credit card. I can not get in touch with them. Nobody will call me back. I tried to chat online. I tried to email. I have heard nothing.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. I placed an order on April 1, when my card was charged immediately. I should have recognized the red flag then. Usually, you should only be charged when your order ships. After not hearing from Gym Source for several days I tried MULTIPLE times to get in contact with someone to get an update on my order with zero response. It wasn't until I finally attempted through the website when someone reached out only to tell me my order was back-ordered and wouldn't ship for months. She said she would cancel my order and refund, but have since heard NOTHING from them, and have not received a refund. I am livid.

I came to you under stressful conditions, having waited for my elliptical from Gym Source in Stamford, from 1/2- 3/2/20. After 8 weeks of waiting being told repeatedly it would arrive any day soon, being denied talking to a manager, and lied to, I finally got smart, called the manufacturer and asked for another distributor.
Enter- Total Fitness. I spoke with Brian who not only matched the price, & delivered my machine 1 week later with no drama, but did so with courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism. I love my elliptical and recommend Total Fitness for any equipment you are planning on purchasing. They are honest, easy to deal with and customer attentive.

Buy with 100% confidence. This company is top-notch.

If you need gym equipment, this is the place to go. I highly recommend Gym Source, and Marty in particular as your "guy" although I'm sure every representative is as knowledgeable.

My recommendation is based on personal experience during a very difficult time: The Coronavirus lockdown in NYC. I was desperate for an aerobic workout as I'm a physically fit asthmatic who must strenuously workout my lungs 4 times a week. I do it at my gym on an elliptical. Like everyone else, I couldn't go to a gym (and won't until there is a vaccine). Turned out my ceiling was too low for an elliptical. But Marty at Gym Source made the recommendation of a reclining ellipitcal and his reasoning made perfect sense to me. He answered all my questions over a two-day period. Still, I wasn't sure this would be more right for me versus a bike, but I decided to make a leap of faith and take his advice. And it paid off. The very serious machine I purchased is a joy to use. I love it. Marty knows what he is talking about, for sure. I'm forever grateful.

And the delivery men were amazing and practiced social distance, wore gloves, masks and washed their hands before and after the delivery. To keep me safe, they wouldn't even let me sign for the machine. And best of all, they sprayed Lysol on clean paper towels and wiped down every inch of the recumbent elliptical.

In every way, the people at Gym Source are professionals. You can trust them when making that all-important investment in gym equipment.

Thought I was getting a good deal on a BH fitness treadmill that retailed for $2499 and was told it was a top of the line unit.First one was replaced by BH fitness after 5 months and the second one I trashed after 30 months with only 300 miles on it after 2 new motors and 2 circuit boards.Unlike places like Costco,Sams,BJs and even D*cks sporting goods once you leave the it's between you and the manufacture.Gym Source doesn't even carry BH products any longer and is very vague on why not.When you buy at Gym Source you are on your own and this is why people buy at the big box stores and Gym Source is not that small.

Sold us a damaged/faulty unit that can’t be repaired

In April 2017, my husband and I paid $5600 for a Cybex elliptical from GymSource (Tarrytown Road, White Plains). Since we got the unit, it has been making an excessive amount of noise (clunking with every pedal stroke). We’ve had it serviced by Gymsource approximately 15 times, to no avail. I asked to have the unit replaced, as they have replaced almost every piece they say could be making the noise, but it’s still ridiculously loud. The store manager refuses and tells me to contact service. The last time I called, they told me the warranty was about to expire and that even though we’ve had ongoing service problems, they cannot extend it. So now we are stuck with a unit that makes a ton of noise, apparently can’t be serviced, and if we do want it serviced we will have to pay for it. I would NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

So impressed with GymSource!. Enrique (at the 6th Ct location) is especially great. He is beyond knowledgeable, very professional and a pleasure to work with!
Bought several pieces of equipment from them for over 20 years and it has always been a great experience. Their prices are competitive and their selection is great. Plus they really stand by their products! Would definitely use them again!

I had a hard time finding the store at…

I had a hard time finding the store at first since they haven't updated the store location. Once I got there I was greeted with great customer service. They had a few things that I was looking for but a lot of things wasn't there that thought they would have. I gave it 3 stars because of lack of equipment. The lack of Sports training equipment.

FROM HUMAN RESOUCES THE WOMAN THAT WORKS THERE IS AND ABSOLUTLE DUMMY!!! SHE DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE TO WHAT IS GOING ON SHE SENT ME A WELCOME LETTER THAT HAD ANOTHER EMPLOYEES NAME ON IT. WHEN SHE HAD JUST SPOKEN TO ME.

THE EMLOYEES IN HOLLYWOOD ARE TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MAKE WORKING IN A STRIP CLUB. THERE IS GIRL THAT IS SO ARROGANT AND LAZY AND DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING!!!! SHE BECAME FRIENDS WITH THE MANAGER SO SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO WORK!!! IT WORK LIKE A CHARM AS THE MANAGER WAS SO DISCONNECTED TO WHAT WAS GOING ON!!!

THE MANAGER SHE IS ALWAYS ON HER PHONE, MAKING PERSONAL PHONE CALLS. THERE ARE EMPLOYEES THAT WORK IN THE WAREHOUSE THAT ARE FIGHTING EVERYDAY AND SOUND LIKE THEY ARE KILLING EACHOTHER. WHEN THEY WERE TRAINING ME I HEARD SOMEONE SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF THERE LUNGS I DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THE EMPLOYEE THAT WAS TRAINING ME TOLD ME THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A VERY LONG TIME. WE JUST IGNORE THEM I SAID HOW COULD YOU IGNORE THEM THEY SOUND LIKE THERE KILLING EACHOTHER.

I had a terrible experience with gym…

I had a terrible experience with gym source. I bought my treadmill at the midtown branch in Manhattan. I waited two weeks without hearing from anyone, and had to track them down to schedule a delivery. The delivery guys did damage to my floor--a deep scratch (which I'm evidently going to be reimbursed for. One positive experience so far). The delivery guys discovered that the console wasn't working, and we were told to wait on the new part to be delivered. There was no follow-up from the company. No apology, no heads up as to when we could expect the part to come in. Again, I had to track down someone to get any info. I repeatedly contacted one of their people. He was gracious at first, but then he dropped me and I had to keep following up. I felt like if I didn't follow up, nothing was going to happen. They finally scheduled a second delivery, and when the technician got here, he discovered they had misdiagnosed the first problem, and now they needed yet another part. Again, there was no follow-up whatsoever. I wrote a letter detailing my frustration in a calm, respectful, but firm manner. I got the briefest of responses with no apology. Now I am waiting on my third delivery. We'll see what happens.... What has really gotten to me is the total lack of follow-up, courtesy, and care. I paid a lot of my money for my treadmill, had two botched deliveries so far, incurred a deep scratch, and you'd think that I was just bothering them over nothing, and they wished I'd go away. Work on your customer service, guys!!!
