Great cars, and excellent availability. I personally really like electric cars, and I'm glad Greenwheels promotes this. I wish for them to expand more around the NL and EU. I also like their administration process way more than MyWheels. MyWheels has been horrible in terms of pricing, admitting users to their platform, etc. Greenwheels wins my vote in all these areas.

I received a €100 fine and Greenwheels is ignoring me
I received a €100 fine from Greenwheels for “smoking in the car”, something that absolutely did not happen. (Schoonmaakkosten voor melding 1931995)
No one in my family smokes, no smoking took place, and no cigarette‑related items were left in the vehicle. The fine appears to be based solely on the assumption that the last user must be responsible, without providing any objective proof of smoking.
I formally disputed the invoice in writing and requested basic evidence (such as original photos with metadata and system logs).
I sent two emails, including a formal reminder titled “Formal reminder – dispute unanswered”.
Both emails were completely ignored since 29th December 2025.
Issuing a serious fine without evidence and then refusing to engage in any dialogue is not acceptable customer service. Paying “under protest” while being ignored is extremely frustrating.
I would strongly advise Greenwheels to improve how they handle disputes and to actually respond to customers instead of ignoring legitimate objections.

Worst car sharing
The app is constantly bugging. To make my first trip, I was asked to pay €250, which is completely unreasonable - no other car-sharing company charges such a high amount.
Recently, my husband received a fine for trash found in a car that was definitely not ours. We tried to get more information, but our messages have not been answered.
We will be filing a complaint with ConsuWijzer for sure.
Stay away from this company. And if you still decide to use it, record everything, even if the car appears to be in good condition.

Battery was pretty empty and I had to…
Battery was pretty empty and I had to travel 100km+. Waited for an hour but the battery only gained 10 km.
Every trip has an issue nowadays. Mostly very dirty cars, which I report half of the time, but I also get last warning mails that I left the car behind dirty (which I didnt). Parking spaces being illegaly occupied for EVs, which I report, but the service line doesn't seem to take action on it. It seems to be the same people stealing the parking spot, because I recognize the cars and plates.
These issues cause me to waste an hour before and after every trip on charging, cleaning, finding parking spots.
Many times there are also broken things such as a broken radio. Something that could've been resolved easily, because the radio had CD player which signals that it's really ancient. I feel that I'm not getting the value back that I pay and I tend to take any Uber for these trips nowadays, which for 100 km+ costs a lot, but the total value is much better.

The damage was sometimes a bit lots to check. However it was easy to use. Price wise indeed not cheap, but you get what you pay.

Terrible service
Terrible service, unusable cars, and broken customer support
I had a booking on December 7th and when I arrived, the car was in a shocking condition: sand, animal hair, footprints, sticky residue everywhere, and even a pool of spilled soda in the drinks holder. It was unhygienic and completely unacceptable.
I was supposed to use the car to take my family (my wife and my 4-year-old son) to IKEA, but I refused to put them in such a disgusting vehicle.
I immediately called Greenwheels customer service and asked to cancel the booking. I clearly explained the situation and was told this would not be a problem. Despite this, I received an invoice a few days later for €36.99 for a car I never used.
Trying to resolve this has been even worse than the initial incident:
The customer support form in the web application does not work.
When I try to contact them by email instead, I receive an automatic reply saying they only process requests submitted via the customer support form, the same form that does not work.
As a result, it is practically impossible to get proper support or even file a complaint.
This is not an isolated issue; poor car hygiene and lack of support seem to be the norm rather than the exception. No alternative car was offered, no proper follow-up was done, and I had to chase them just to be heard.
After this experience, I have completely lost trust in Greenwheels and decided to stop using car-sharing services altogether and buy my own car instead.
Avoid if you value basic cleanliness, customer service, or accountability.
