The first order received had x2 missing items and x2 moldy vegetables. Thought I canceled, but forgot and received another box today. With a damaged cucumber and a package of cabbage opened and spilled in the box!

I made the mistake of not fully reading into them and their subscription, I went on just to browse at their meals and was charged £1 to get to that point , I assumed it was a holding fee, as it didn’t show in my bank account, but the £1 charge actually locks you into a subscription even without checking out an order.

My orders have arrived in their one-hour time slots , well packed and labelled . The ingredients are fresh on arrival .
When I rang with a query , I learned what I needed to know .
It is useful to be able suspend an order if you are due to be away for a few days .
The wide choice , and my current "success rate" , means I am looking forward to the future !

Another food box company that charges you before you’re even able to choose your meals - amazing logic!?
From my perspective, I want to see what’s on offer first, and if I like the meals, then decide whether to give it a try. I really don’t understand why so many of these companies rely on forced subscriptions instead of letting the product and customer experience speak for themselves.
I was initially interested in trying it, but after reading other customer reviews, it’s a definite no from me.

UPDATE:
I managed to get through to customer care this evening and they have issued a refund. The customer service adviser was helpful and it was easy to do - I just think there should certainly be more warning that despite cancelling you are still signed up for an initial box, even though there is no email confirmation or otherwise. Rating revised to 3 stars from 1 star as a result.
INITIAL REVIEW:
I signed up to Green Chef, but immediately realised that there would not be enough option that my children would happily eat. I cancelled immediately as a consequence and my account showed no future orders. There was no email confirmation of an order or otherwise. I checked extensively at the time on my account as I didn't want to be caught out. Green Chef have now charged me for my first box and I cannot connect to customer services. The meals they are sending are not ones I would have ever chosen. This service is a scam.

Quality ingredients for delicious quick to prepare tasty meals. Tried the other 2 main similar services previously and Green chef far outshines them in quality and quantity.

Terrible so far.
Last time I tried(last year), my food box turned up broken and food had leaked out! Services has not improved to my area.

The quality of the ingredienst is excellent, especially the fish, prawns and chicken, Well packaged and fresh, generous portions , On the minus side, I don't like having my meals chosen for me when I forgot to do an order or skip a week, Some of the recipes can have too many ingredients and can be time consuming.

Refreshing quality recipe box.
Fantastic fresh organic sustainable food. Exciting and filling recipes. Much easier to work round food preferences and dietary requirements. Not just endless pasta dishes.
Love it, now just to see how often I can afford it....

They advertised a rock bottom starting price for the first box of £9.99 plus delivery yet they’ve scammed £43 from my account which I definitely didn’t sign up for! I’ve requested a refund but judging by other reviews I’m not going to get one, I’m waiting another 6 days to dispute that payment through my bank and then I’ll have to wait 6 weeks for it back

Terrible customer service, payment was frozen through my bank, Green chef still sent me a box even though the payment card was not live. They are now charging me for the box that I didn’t pay for. They won’t waver the charge after having over 40 boxes!! Please don’t send boxes to people if they haven’t paid for them, then continue to chase and say you will pass it onto a debt collector! Your mistake, you shouldn’t have sent the box out end of story. Still waiting a call back
