Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & martial art training facility in Frome, Somerset. We offer a 1 week free trial for any new students, please visit our website to book your space. We offer classes for Adults, Kids, Teens, Women-only in our full-time facility which is open 7 days a week. We are proud to offer the only full time martial art training facility in Frome. Our facility boasts over 120 square meters of bespoke martial arts matting, which have been custom fitted to our school. This means our mats are permanently installed, thus no packing away at the end of class, and increased hygiene, as the space can be clean more frequently. Our mats are also much thicker than standard martial arts facilities, offering 50mm of cushioning foam, which provides a much safer training environment. We also have a range of functional training equipment for our student to use, including battle ropes, 6FT Fairtex Banana bags & other striking equipment, suspension trainers, Bulgarian bags, physio bands, skipping ropes, foam rollers, kettlebells (4-32kg), medicine balls (2-10kg) and much more. Our school has had no expense spared, including infrared heating for the winter months, multiple wall mounted high velocity fans to aid air circulation and cooling during out hotter sessions. We run high capacity dehumidifiers to ensure a hygienic enviroment. Full LED lighting throughout our facility, as well as 24hr security and CCTV. Our facility also offers student changing facilities, waiting area, and free parking, along with being very conveniently located next to a petrol station, corner shop, hotel and pub. Get involved with this great school and great martial art
I started training here just over a year ago. At first tentatively and irregularly. Now I have caught the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu bug and train 3-4 times a week. The school feels like a family and all are welcome. It’s become my happy place, which is ironic considering it’s such an intense, full contact martial art. The teaching standard is high. The Martial Arts discipline and training work ethic is solid and the school is well held by Professor Cal and his teaching team Professor Ali and Coach Matt.
My youngest Son is 6 and he’s also caught the bug. He loves his Little Champions classes and the team are so good with the kids. He recently got his first grading stripe and he hasn’t stopped talking about it. My oldest Son is 13 and he has also recently started training. It’s been great for them and great for us to do together. Long may that continue.
They say the best time to start training BJJ was 10 years ago but the second best time is now. At 46, it’s one of the best commitments I have made and I’m really happy I found this school and this team.

Frome GBBJJ school is a well run friendly and professional establishment. Great coaches who really know the sport and are brilliant with kids as well as adult members of the club. The level of dedication they show both to their members and BJJ as a whole is apparent from the outset. Highly recommended
