Karen Davenport- UK's best solicitor
I've been working in national property sales (off-plan and built properties) for approx 20 years, which means I've worked with an insane amount of solicitors and conveyancers in that time, and I can say without a doubt that Karen Davenport of Gorvins is the best I've had the pleasure of working with.
She's assisted me with approx 25 sales now, and has always been an absolute pro. Efficient beyond belief (including managing to take multiple sales from reservation to completion in around a week - nuts!) AND the most friendly solicitor you'll ever meet. Always see's the bigger picture and cares about even the smallest things that are important to her clients, not just ticking boxes to get things off her desk (like most solicitors).
And pragmatic... if there's an issue causing a delay with the sale, you can be sure that she won't be stubborn and sit on her hands like most solicitors seem to enjoy doing so much... she'll think outside the box, find a solution and politely and proactively encourage the other side to see her logic and to follow her around the problem. She's just on another level to whoever is being used on the other side.
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to work with her compared to 99% of other solicitors!
I've even referred my family friends and business acquaintances to her, she's that good. I've literally had chocolates and wine brought to my door from people that I referred her to, just because they had such a great experience with her and were that grateful for me putting them in touch with her!
If ever a brilliant review was warranted, it's to Karen Davenport and Gorvins. Looking forward to many more years working with you.

I have recently needed expert advice and guidance, of an employment law solicitor, and I'm so glad that I contacted Gorvins. I was greeted very warmly, and professionally, by the legal secretary Lea. within 5 minutes of explaining my predicament, I was appointed a solicitor.

Expert support at under the estimated cost. Karen supported us on a complex land registry issue that had been creating a lot of stress for us. She managed with the process (and then a specialist mortgage product) with little fuss and came in significantly under the estimated fees as she had preempted some challenges. Every interaction I’ve had be it with a legal representative or a member of the administration staff has been positive. They are helpful, polite and extremely hard working.
I was accused of a serious matter however the allocated solicitor was both driven and hard working. He provided excellent advice and supported me all through the process until the very end when I was rightly found not guilty.

I was referred to David Rogers at Gorvins when I was stuck for someone to go over my paperwork for my preliminary hearing. I had already paid another law firm quite a bit of money, but the judge contradicted everything that this lawyer had advised. As a result I got in touch with David who took on my case and we managed to reach a settlement prior to the Preliminary hearing. I would highly recommend David and Gorvins as it felt like a weight had been lifted handing this to seasoned professionals and it took the stress out of the process.
