I love goodery

I love goodery, love the work they're doing, love the people, and obviously love the organic produce (my personal favourite - organic strawberries, one of top fruits otherwise for the highest chemicals). grateful!

Fantastic…

The Goodery is such a fantastic company! The veg they produce and deliver is always outstanding! We get a veg box delivered every two weeks and it is always a joy to receive!!! The weird and wonderful veg mixed in with everyday family favourites has pushed me to experiment with my cooking and try things I would never think to buy! Absolutely wonderful!

Set boxes range in quality enormously

I have used Goodery for a few months getting the extra large box fortnightly. I have now stopped. When it is good it is very, very good and when it is bad it is very, very poor.
The difference in boxes was too variable and also with the produce.
Some deliveries bore no resemblance to the advertised stock that week and one box had many out of season produce that was already off by the time it arrived.
I was not offered monetary recompense, although I did ask when the box had so few items in it that it would have been hard pushed to be labelled extra large. I was given the differential to the large box.
There does seem to be a difference in standards of the packers. Some are unable to check that the contents do not contain the 2 items that I cannot eat.
On 3 occasions I had amazing boxes and if this was the norm I would still be using them. Unfortunately these were the minority

Hi Tracey, thanks for leaving us a review and so sorry to have missed it! We've recently changed our whole ordering and packing system and we think we're in a much better position to offer a really consistent box. If you're up for giving us another try we'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Josh

Finally a company with heart

Finally a company with a friendly, human side that does best for the planet and best for people. Everything is good about Goodery: the smiling people, the honest (and funny!) communications, the feeling of community, the climate friendly delivery vehicles. This is not just a veg box, it is a positivity box. Supporting Goodery is supporting a resilient, climate-friendly Norwich. Not enough stars to rate them with!

Sustainable fruit and veg and zero emissions delivery!

Goodery is a growing business working to improve food sustainability within the Norfolk area. They are a learning organisation and own up to the occasional mistake and make sure that it does not get repeated. This is admirable. We have enjoyed weekly bespoke deliveries of fruit and veg to our home for over a year and to our business for much longer. We cannot praise Goodery enough for the quality of produce and exceptional service. Thank you for reducing our food miles, making us aware of where our food comes from and keeping it seasonal while supporting many local businesses by delivering their produce including organic wines, juices and fermented foods.

Friendly efficient service

We've been customers of Goodery since they started working with Arthur's organics and really look forward to the weekly delivery. We've rarely had a problem and whenever we've received slightly wrong order or some poorer quality items Goodery have responded quickly and sorted it. Thanks so much for your friendly efficient service.

I understand mistakes can happen

I understand mistakes can happen, however this recent event is totally unacceptable.

We've been weekly customers of Goodery since April 2020, spending on average between £120 - 160 monthly.

On the whole we've been satisfied and have overlooked the occasional poor quality, inedible vegetables from time to time, yet on other occasions had no other option than to inform Goodery who's reply was at least consistent in the form of 'rubbish, I'll refund this'.

There comes a point when one, as a customer wonders where the ethics of a company lay. This point is today;

We were expecting our order this afternoon, almost £40, in time for a birthday dinner party we were hosting for a friend's fortieth birthday party this evening. In our order were multiple lemons to additionally present our friend with a birthday cake. Goodery arrived at around 2.00pm outside our cottage but left again without leaving our order or knocking on the door.

Perplexed, I emailed Goodery asking if there was a problem. I received a response to say our box had been left by mistake at another address. After a couple of hours it still hadn't arrived. I emailed again before close of business asking when we could expect the box due to us needing to start preparations and cooking for our dinner party guests. I received no response. I emailed yet again. No response.

Without our delivery we had no other option than to abandon our plans to cook for our guests and purchase a takeaway meal.

At 6.35 we received a phone call from a Rob apologising (whilst laughing) at his mistake of delivering our box to the wrong address.

At 7.55 we received a phone call saying our box had been delivered.

We're absolutely appalled that upon inspection the broccoli at £3.50 is at least 2 weeks old, is yellow and has gone straight in the bin. I have photographed this.

I've been in business for over thirty years and customer care is paramount to me. In order to expand my business, of which unlike Goodery I don't tout for money from my customers to enable me to do so, one must be competent at providing a service of value to the current customer base. This is clearly where Goodery fails.

Wanting to aquire the monopoly for growing and providing all such produce this company can sell, is a journey instigated by fools. It's quite clear that Goodery have proved their inability to supply quality produce to their current customer base, and in addition do not value their client worth - expecting poor quality produce to be overlooked and consumed.

A jolly poor show Goodery. What is clearly a good business model is facilitated by inexperienced individuals at ground level because you're reaching for far more than you can currently provide.

Dear Nicola,

I want to say sorry for what happened, and that the situation did not get resolved in a timely manner. Clearly there was a breakdown in our internal system and communication.

We've discussed what went wrong with this delivery with our drivers and how we can make sure it doesn't happen again. Having been let down on time sensitive deliveries on several occasions, I know how frustrating it can be - especially without prompt communication - which is so key in these situations! Our driver says he did try to get through a few times that day but was unsuccessful until a little later.

Poor quality veg is never acceptable and should never have been packed into your box. It's no excuse but this time of year is awful for calabrese broccoli in the UK and we've re-evaluated how we do the build your own box for precisely this quality reason, along with the environmental factors.

I do want to answer the point about touting money from customers - I feel this is unfair. The market garden is not a for-profit project. Growing food does not make money without government subsidies or slave labour. We want to transform the way food is produced in East Anglia, but without government help we can't do this by ourselves.

We have no desire to monopolise, we freely share how to buy local veg from other local providers on our home page and in terms of market share we are a small fish in a very big pond!

On the charges of inexperience, you're probably right - we are all learning here. Thank you for bearing with us for nearly three years. It really does mean a lot.

Please accept our apologies and the full refund of the order.

Kind regards,

Josh

A weekly highlight!

A highlight of our week is the day our fruit and veg box arrives!
A weekly box is easy to arrange and stop for a week or two when we've been on holiday. Goodery UK allow some substitutions and have updated our weekly order to accommodate our dietary requirements.
The delivery drivers are all friendly and courteous.
The quality, variety and flavour of everything we've received has been fantastic. We've never had such delicious carrots, for example!!
We also love the weekly email updates and newsletters.
Thank you Goodery UK, we highly recommend you and love supporting our local community.

Amazing veg box company

Amazing veg box company! These guys really care about good quality food and supporting local producers. Was really impressed with the range of organic locally farmed contents of my box. Also, I was greeted by Moses, who delivered my first box to me, with so much enthusiasm for my purchase! They deliver their boxes in electric vans, too. Will be a regular subscriber. These are kind of businesses we NEED in our economy. Support local. Support the planet.

This is my 2nd order of Organic…

This is my 2nd order of Organic products with Goodery. A a support to local farming and shops, and eating more healthily are why we turned to buying locally sourced produces. 1st order came with a re-useable cardboard tray which they'll take back when they next come. Love the sourdough well made. And the moist and dense bread keep us filling energetic! Customer service Matti is quick to respond to enquiries and feel customer's concern is well taken care for. We're trying out the Veggies boxes which allow me to pick the quantity which we can comfortably consumed in a week's time. Unfortunately, items in these boxes can varies. So have to email them for items to be added. Would be great at check out, there is an additional item request blank for us to list down any items which are offered in other boxes and pay later upon confirmation email. Love to see more varieties of mushrooms, bakeries & fruits! Keep up the good work!:-)

Hey Karyn! Thanks so much for your review. I'm glad you've enjoyed our service.

You mentioned wanting to choose your own fruit and veg. Have you checked out our Build Your Own Box service? (https://goodery.co.uk/collections/build-your-own-box)

It's a little more expensive than the seasonal organic fruit and veg boxes but you get to choose exactly what you want! Try and place your order before Monday 10am for best availability as that's when we place our order with suppliers.

We've got a growing number of products grown in Norfolk and Suffolk, so can't really get more local and fresh than this!

Just received our first box of goodies

Just received our first box of goodies, and delighted that they came all the way out to us, as we are at the edge of their delivery rounds. Everything looks beautiful and fresh and the whole 'ordering' experience has been seamless and easy....can't wait to re-order next week. Thanks to everyone at Goodery!
