TERRIBLE COMPANY. ORDERED TWO PAIRS OF GLASSES, BOTH OF THEM CAME WITH WRONG LENSES AND PRESCRIPTION DIOPTERS. I have to return them but nobody answers the phone or my emails. What am i supposed to do now.

Slow, incorrect prescription, charged me for shipping!
I will never shop at this company again. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses through them and it took over a month to get the pair. Then when they finally came it was the wrong prescription! I sent in the correct one but obviously they did not follow it at all. They also sent me an extra pair of non prescription which was a mistake and told me to return them. They tried to make me pay for shipping with those but I refused. Then when I returned my glasses I received a refund but they charged my initial shipping and also had to pay for the return shipping. I will never shop here again.
Great prices, slow delivery
This is our third order with global eyeglasses and overall quality and price has been pretty good. The only problem has been slow delivery of their products once you order.
I entered an order for 2 pairs of basic eyeglasses ( No bifocals ) on April 24th and it didn't ship until Friday May 2nd! When I called to track the shipment they said one of their Lab Machines broke down and that was the cause for my delay. I guess the old
business motto is true : " Great service, quality, or price. You only get to pick ( 2 ) !
A pleasant surprise for once.
After paying $273.61 for RX glasses at my local Optician I decided to look for some where cheaper. I found Global Eyeglasses on the internet and gave it a try. For just over $102 (They even gave me a discount) we received 2 pairs of photo chromatic RX sunglasses. The quality of the lenses are as good as any I have had, ever! Their customer service answered our questions quickly and clearly. Both pairs arrived in a heavy case, well packaged and within 2 weeks. I can only say, if you are sick paying inflated prices for RX eyeglasses, look no further. I would recommend Global Eyeglasses to anyone.

Dreadful customer service
Talk about slowww boat from China. My glasses are not here after three weeks. I just asked for a usps tracking number and have been told by their customer service that it will take two days to get the tracking number. I made the mistake of calling and the person who answered was unintelligible. Good luck if you order from Global.

Slow to ship. No one picks up the phone - no one responds to their online chats. They have messed up the order .. i lost count but many times. Never buying again. I returned all my glasses from this place and also reported them to my credit card companies.
worst online purchase ever
Absolutely the worst on-line purchase I have ever made. Thankfully, I paid with PayPal. (hint).
I placed a re-lensing order and paid with Pay Pal. Global Eyeglasses received my glasses on May 17. From there it went downhill. Their website says re-lensing in 7 working days. My glasses were finally received on July 8th.
I sent nine (9) emails requesting a status update. Seven (7) were answered the same way; they are being expedited and should ship this, or next, week. Two were never answered. I asked for clarification on “should” or “will”; one of the emails with no answer. The sad part is these glasses were originally purchased from them 2 years ago with no problem.
The last update I received said “…your glasses are currently in the final quality control check before shipping. They should be expedited by the end of next week”. This was June 3rd .
On Saturday, July 2nd, I contacted PayPal to cancel the payment because the product was never received. Magically, my glasses made it to the post office on Saturday afternoon (of a holiday weekend) with the explanation “…we had shipping issues which delayed getting the lenses to NY”. This was posted on July 3rd.
At no time during the communication was “shipping issues” ever mentioned. Only when Pay Pal was brought in to cancel the payment was this excuse mentioned. AN EXCUSE – NOT A REASON.
(BTW, not getting the lenses is not a shipping issue, it is a supply/material issue)
With Global, it appears “customer service” is non-existent in the worst case and an oxymoron at best. They should learn that when you dig yourself into a hole, and you are in over your head, stop digging.
People appreciate the truth, no matter how bad, as opposed to being misled.
My next purchase will be from a competitor.

Their lenses are accurate and functional. Also, their coating is durable. This is my second pair from them ( I stepped on the 1st pair). The shipping was quick as it arrived a day earlier than they projected

I recently bought a pair of prescription sunglasses from Global and it turned out that the pair I selected were too small for my face. I submitted for an RMA to replace the frames & lenses. I called & the rep told me that I would have to pay 50% of the lens cost. However, she recommended that I return them for a full refund & select another pair instead. Thanks for looking out for me. Saved me even more money.

Updated 8/31/13: A few weeks subsequent to the following review in June, I did eventually receive the lenses and I was able to put them into the frames that they had previously sent separately. They also sent me a full refund. Therefore, my rating is being updated from One to Two stars.
I ordered two pair of glasses at the same time. One arried within a few weeks as expected but they broke and I had to send them back. The other pair arrived after 30 days and they were fine. Unfortunately, the pair that did not break were tinted for novelty and not for every day use. I sent the broken glasses back and paid for the shipping for them to send the replacement pair back to me. After I sent the lenses back I was informed that their repair facilty was taken out by a tornado but it would be rebuilt at the same address in about two weeks and back up ready for business. This made sense because they were talking about tornados every day on the news. Yeah, right. That was a quick rebuild job. Let's just say that it has been 60 days since my original order and I still do not have my original glasses and I am out $90. There is really not much more I can do. I need to just write it off because every time I think about it or I get an email from Michael with another BS story, it just keeps eating me up inside with a lot of anger and it is making my life miserable during these times. My wife said I would regret ordering glasses online and she was right. I should have known they would be poor quality anyway even if I were to receive them.
