I ordered a Huusk knife - it’s not what the advert shows
I ordered a Huusk knife, for Christmas, for my elderly parents.
I am a firm believer that accidents usually happen when struggling with a blunt knife…
So the advert showing an incredibly sharp knife, that retains its sharpness was what made me buy them one. Together with the finger hole in the blade to aid use.
I gave it to them at Christmas and they loved the look of it. However, just a few weeks in and the knife is no longer sharp and the edge has deformed.
Now that the knife is out of the box, it appears to have a standard blade, but a creative pattern formed on the top, to make it “look” like a Japanese knife.
It’s not what I was lead to believe it was - in terms of quality and edge retaining.

Not my sharpest knif
When I got this knif, it was far from sharper then most of the knifes on my wall( yes, I keep my kitchenknives on magnets on the wall). After sharpening it, it got better. But some of my other knifes keeps sharp a lot longer then my huusk-knife. And, as a former chef, there are a lot of things this knife is useless for. Fine chopping, useless, because of the shape of the blade. Cutting vegetables, useless because of the thickness of the blade, the veggies brake. But it might be because of what kind of knives I have been using during my carreer. But cutting meat, raw or cooked,super. But I wouldn't buy anotherone😔

I bought some knives for my stepdad in Dec 22
Great product
The level of intelligence when asking to be not contacted… filth on the bottom of my shoe shows more promise
The emails took several attempts to stop, although I think I still get them they just go into junk.
The spam phone calls are constant, I’ve reported these tools to the ICO 3 times for harassment.
STOP CONTACTING ME! You are in breach of GDPR guidelines
You are harassing me
I get one more phone call I will be reporting g you to the local authorities.

I understand you cannot 100% control third parties
But surely there is an approval process to get the suppliers on your books in order to work on behalf of Huusk?
Surely there are regular reviews of these third parties compliance against their own procedures as well as Huusks in order for them to remain approved by Huusk?
If you have no control over how they handle marketing on behalf of Huusk then Huusk should NOT be handing out client data to cowboys
I at no point gave Huusk permission to give my details to third parties and most certainly under GDPR my details should not have been given to marketing partners without my consent - GDPR stipulates that people are not auto-enrolled... If i was then this is again a breach under GDPR and needs to be rectified.
I will be editing the review with the above comments and acknowledging the response and your email. Unfortunately, the rating will remain because your third parties identified themselves as Huusk, this is a reflection of Huusk (and its third parties)

Shocking customer services,
I have emailed them over 20 times since 11/12/2024 concerning my returns which was ordered by mistake.
It's now the 21/01/2025 and still no response after ringing 3 times over last 7 days still no further on. Been told the items hasn't arrived yet still awaiting delivery and please contact royal mail useless. Royal mail say out their hands as its now in Germany awaiting them. I also have tracked package to Frankfurt AM.
Customer services say haven't a clue when they will get my package although it arrived to them 21.12.24.
Will never use Huusk again and never recommend them to anyone.
Well after receiving a message I was hoping matter would be sorted but haven't had a single response emailed a further 4 times. Shocking

Money taken, but 40 days later, no knives, no support, no refund
The Huusk knives purchased on the 13 th of December 2024 for a Christmas present still have not arrived.
This is my second review about this problem, simply because writing on Trustpilot was the only action which solicited some type of concern from the Huusk support team.
My knives are still not delivered, there is no refund offered, and my emails are still met by automated replies.
I shall have to take the painstaking path of reports to Trading standards, and the “Which?” Magazine. There must be some support somewhere.
I call, I email, but absolutely no assistance for order 020v6v6.

My mum called this company to order a knife for me for Christmas. She is vulnerable in a wheelchair and cannot get out without me taking her so she wanted to surprise me. They said her payment didn't go through so did it again but it had gone through they just obviously wanted the sale of 2 knives. She did receive the 2 and decided just to keep them. Then on new years eve they used her card details 3 more times to order 3 more orders! 3 scissors 3 knives and a sharpener tool. All equivalating to about £175. Who would want all those?! This company wanting more sales thats who. Good job she has me looking out for her! Off to the bank we went and then on to fraud to resolve this. Just awful!
Updated after response. There is no email address or account number accociated with this order as my mum called the number advertised on the tv to make the order directly. She has no email address and so she payed by card over the phone. She has no idea how to do internt shopping. She also said the company did keep calling her to ask if she was happy and wanted to buy anymore and she said no. The bank confirmed the 3 payments had been taken unorthorised on 31st Dec from her card and the fraud team did refund her after investigating.

Poorest quality knife you can buy. It get dull after first use. My wife used it on chicken and it got damaged straight away. The other one I bought at the same time was as bad. Don't waste money on this overhyped knife

Poor service from Huusk
We ordered 1 knife and 1 leather sheath but received 2 knives and 4 leather sheaths. Huusk sent us a retuned label and it cost us £27.76 postage to return the knives. The parcel went missing for 5 weeks before ending up at our door. Using Parcel Force tracking code they confirmed it went to the correct address in Germany and sat there for 2 weeks before being returned to us. When we contacted Huusk they said they had closed the order as we had not returned the knives within their 30 day period. Their returns policy is designed not to give you your money back. Also remember, the cost of the returns is for your cost and it is expensive.

Awful, can't think of anything else to say. Low grade saucepan steel, butter knife sharp and won't hold an edge. Also, marketed as if it is from Japan - that is a con' , it's cheap Chinese crap and worthless.
