I strongly warn others to stay away…

I strongly warn others to stay away from Gaura Travels. I paid a deposit for ticket booking, and when I decided not to proceed, I requested a refund. Since then, it has been an extremely frustrating and exhausting experience.
I have made countless calls, submitted multiple refund requests through their website, and sent emails — yet there is ZERO resolution. Their website is unreliable and does not properly process refund requests.
Every time I call, I hear the same scripted response: “your request is in priority” — but nothing actually happens. This pattern raises serious concerns about how they handle customer deposits. In my case alone, nearly $100 across 3 family members is still stuck with no clear update. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. Customers deserve transparency and timely refunds.I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please think twice before trusting them with your money.

I already booked flights 3 months…

I already booked flights 3 months before our departure but they sent me an email after 2 months saying I have to pay 100$extra per person otherwise I can get my full refund.
So I had to pay 400$ extra.
So what is the point to have booked so early.
I felt it cheated and blackmailed.

Worse travel agency I have ever seen…

Worse travel agency I have ever experienced in my life. If you need a bulk of stress, anxiety and financial loss GauraTravel is the best place to serve you shit service. They changed my flight date without making phone calls or contacting us. Once I requested that these changes are not going to work with my approved leave, they faked to assure us that they are looking to find another date that would suit us the best. We offered them that it is ok if itvs 2-3 days earlier or later than the date we initially booked and paid for it. 7 months they kept faking. Finally after months waiting they gave us SINGLE CHOICE to make which was 5 WEEKS ahead of wha we booked. We explained them that we planned our tour already according to the original booking, we have paid for the accommodation, vehicles been booked, we have organised events, deposits are done, invites are sent we cant just reschedule everything by 5 weeks. We explained our annual leave.
After 2 months arguments there was no solution. We faced every thing just beautiful of this terrible, unprofessional agency or in simple words a herd of sheep. People who knows things do not have the authority to do anything. People who has the authority no nothing about customer service, policies and travel laws in Australia. Its been months since I have requested a copy of the policy that they reflected on to make decisions about closing my case. I desperately wanted to file a case against them but just dealing with the bunch of idiots was depressing. Please Beware of this scams. They will book fake tickets. Make you to pay then change it accordingly to their best interest.
Total scam, depressing behaviour

Gaura Travel is completely unreliable

Gaura Travel is completely unreliable. Customer support is nonexistent, and I’ve been waiting over 10 days for a refund with no progress. When I contacted the refunds team leader, I was told they can’t help because refunds are only processed once every two weeks. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of accountability.

Booking IDID: #271494

We were booked to Fly from New Delhi to Melbourne 27 Nov-2025 on Qantas Flight QA070

Booking agent never told me at the time of booking the tickets that it is a group booking ticket.
We got this surprise when I tried to e- check in 72 hours before the flight and got a message that it is group booking and can only be checked in at the airport check in counter.

We got the 2nd surprise in the flight when we were told that meal options for myself and my wife were not selected Hindu Vegetarian.
You can imagine if you have to stay without food on a 12 hour long flight. We survived on only snacks and juice for the first meal in the flight as no vegetarian meal was left for us.
Thanks to the efforts of onboard flight staff, we have one vegetarian meal to share when the breakfast was served in the flight.

Just to make matter worse, even while flying to Melbourne- New Delhi on 8th Nov in Singapore Airlines , Our meal Options were not booked correctly. We were lucky to get vegetarian meals in that flight though.

These Lapses happened despite we advised the agent very clearly that we are vegetarian while making the booking and please select Hindu meal option , it is very unprofessional of your agent not to select the right meal option while booking the tickets .

Being your regular customer, I expect better customer service.
Unfortunately, in this instance, your customer service is not of expected standards and it has given a lot of grief in the flight.

Cheap tactics, irresponsible & sale is a joke

Requested quote for upcoming travel seeing their ad but later told there was no sale/discount price for my dates. I agreed on the price, however during the process of booking, he quickly changed and said, "the agreed one was not available anymore, so choose the one below that
" and that costed a bit more. Later, I put mine and emergency contact details(someone else) and also clearly asked him questions about who would be contacted in case of changes/delay etc and he said it would be me. But immediately after paying for the ticket, a customer representative has called the Emergency contact person asking for payment details & to confirm payment. This is a breach and why would the Emergency contact be asked about payment whrn I'm the one who paid. Finally, I clarified all that and received confirmation of booking and he said, I could book seats and choose meals etc. Later that night, I try to choose seats and to my shock, I have to pay for the seats. Because these idiots don't know or choose not to tell you the important information. The trick here they used is, they asked me to enter a code, JULY2025 on their website while booking, however there was no discount given to me. He said it was only for their record purpose. But now, the airline shows that my ticket is booked with an agent under a sale and therefore, the seats are not included. Now, they get you to book on their website while on the call, which appears like it's you who booked and they dont wanna take responsibility. Absolutely unethical. They use all sorts of cheap tactics to lure you to book and the moment you book with them, their communication style changes, they speak rudely and keep forwarding/put you call on hold.
Mr. Abhishek and Ashwini, as owners of the company, you are responsible for these blunders of your employees, because you how you've trained them. If you're really concerned about true customer service, call me and book the seats for me for my upcomingtravel. Btw, I am a return customer despite facing difficulties with my booking the 1st time. Now, you have completely lost my trust.

Fraud

Fraud Marketing Recently, I contacted Gaura Travel for an urgent booking, and unfortunately, I had the worst experience. The agents were not helpful at all—they just kept asking me to check their website, which wasn’t working properly. I faced multiple difficulties, and the offers they advertise are misleading—you cannot actually purchase tickets at the shown price. After this frustrating experience, I looked into them further and found many 1-star reviews, which didn’t surprise me.

Thankfully, I came across a travel agency called PALKI TRAVEL. The agents there were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. I made my booking with ease and flew happily without any issues, all at the best price! Highly recommend them if you're looking for genuine service. Specially Aloke Helped Me alot.

Deeply Disappointed with Gaura Travel

Deeply Disappointed with Gaura Travel – Feels Like I Was Taken Advantage Of

I’m honestly heartbroken and frustrated by my experience with Gaura Travel. At first, I was drawn in by the cheap fare they advertised online — but what they don’t tell you upfront is how much they’ll charge you later in hidden fees. They only mentioned the ticket was non-refundable, but gave no proper explanation of how expensive it would be to change the travel date.

When I needed to change my flight, I did the responsible thing and checked with Singapore Airlines directly — they confirmed it would only cost $200 to change the date. But when I contacted Gaura Travel, they charged me an additional $310 just as a “service fee” — that’s over $500 total just to change my flight!

It honestly feels like I was being ripped off. These extra charges weren’t clearly communicated, and the whole experience left me feeling helpless and taken advantage of.

If you’re planning to book through Gaura Travel, please be cautious. Ask about every possible fee in writing before paying. I trusted them, and I regret it. I will never use their services again, and I urge others to think twice before booking with them. Your hard-earned money deserves better.

Cautious with Gaura Travels advice

As a preferred partner of Air India, I expected Gaura Travels to give accurate advice. Instead, they rushed me into booking with misleading information. They assured me that a 1hr 45min layover on same PNR at Delhi Airport was enough and that Air India would ensure smooth transfers—none of which was true.
When I asked if baggage needed to be rechecked they had no idea about the operations. I asked shorter connections were common to which they reassured me that yes it is common and without issues. Their advice was generic and unreliable.
Booking through them saved a small amount but caused big complications: delays in confirmation, mismatched booking details (e.g., my daughter listed as an adult in Air India system even after providing correct information), and problems checking in that required calls to both Air India and Gowra Travels. Once travel began, neither Air India nor Gaura Travels took responsibility when issues arose.

In short: Gaura Tarvels did not add any value to my travel needs but added stress.

Avoid Gaura Travel – No Flexibility and Hidden Fees

I booked two tickets to India through Gaura Travel, and honestly, never again. Though you book "with them," you're basically doing it all yourself online while they guide you over the phone. The real issue came when I needed to change my travel date due to a family emergency. The process was frustrating — a clunky form, long wait time, and then a $800 fee per person just to change dates, even though flights are cheaper now on the airline’s own site. Cancellation is just as bad, around $850. No support, no flexibility. Spend a little more and book directly with the airline — it’s not worth the stress.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Booking Company at All Costs

I had the worst experience with this flight ticket booking company. Every time I tried to book my itinerary, they increased the ticket fare by 200−300 within less than 2 minutes. This happened to me three times in a row, which was incredibly frustrating.

When I called their customer service, they offered me options that were significantly more expensive than what I found directly on the airline's website. To make matters worse, they wasted 2-3 hours of my time on the call, asking for details about the flights I wanted to book.

The most shocking part was when I shared the price of the tickets I found on the airline's website ($2150), and suddenly, their price jumped to $2700). This kind of behavior is unacceptable and feels like a complete scam.

I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company and book directly through the airline or a more reliable platform. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.
