Went in to FWR today for a new back tyre. They were busy but as always happy to see you and help you out. I even got a discount on my tyre due to the Michelin promotion on at the moment, £15 off a back tyre is pretty decent! Bob fired up the bbq for lunch treated the customer to some delicious chicken and lamb! This is my go to place, make it yours!!!! You won’t regret it!
They were superb, very very helpful and friendly I don't think I could have asked for better service.
What Bob at FWR doesn’t know about bikes and tyres isn’t worth knowing.
Would highly recommend FWR! Bob and his team were so helpful. I came in as my tyre had burst, I was seen very quickly and they completed the job professionally and efficiently. Thank you to everyone there
I went there to get a new rear tyre on my moped. I was offered 3 options:
1) Michelin (£75 including fitting)
2)Bridgestone (£80 including fitting)
3)Continental (£75 including fitting)
I chose the Bridgestone and the guy at the desk (a young guy with tattoos on his arms) took my phone number and ask me to come back in 1 hour to collect the bike.
I went back after 1 hour and I found out that the tyre they put on was a Michelin City Grip (Listed at £44 on their website) and the guy told me that they didn't have the Bridgestone so they put a different tyre on (without even calling me) .
I wasn't happy at all and I was at least expecting a discount as he told me before that the Michelin was slightly cheaper.
Instead he told me that the tyre he put on was more expensive than the Bridgestone and he actually gave me a discount from £68 to £55 plus £25 fitting for a total of £80.
He even gave me a sort of invoice (without stamp) charging me £55 for a Michelin City Grip 2 . The problem is that they didn't even put a Michelin City Grip 2 but instead they put a 4 years old tyre Michelin City Grip manufactured in 2018 (Listed at £44 on their website).
I wasn't happy but I had to go to work so I took the bike and paid the full amount.
After 2 days the tyre they put on which was 4 years old started craking in some places. At this point I went to the shop to explain the situation and get the tyre replaced and that's when one of their employees came across quite rude and in a confrontational manner starting telling me those exact words: " I don'r give a sxxt , this is none of my business because I'm leaving this company and I don't care". I was very surprised by this unnecessary attitude, however I asked to get my tyre (defective and old) replaced with a brand new fresh tyre and he initially agree eventhough he kept being rude telling that I was taking the pxxs. After he apparently made a phone call he came back saying that they didn't have any fresh tyre so he asked me if I wanted some money instead. I wanted to put an end to it and I more than fairly instead of asking for a full refund I asked for £40 (Half of what I paid. Plus I was overcharged for a different product . I was charged for a Michelin City Grip 2 (£68 with fake discount £55) but the tyre they put on was a Michelin City Grip (listed at £44 on their website).
The guy, again in a very rude manner said that he didn't think £40 was fair but he thought £20 was fair.
I took the money (£20) and left.
I felt sorry for the man who was clearly frustrated with his job but until you work for a company you should still be professional a take responsibilities.
Please Please Please stay miles away. Absolute scummers. If you ever have the disgrace to get the tyres fitted there , ask to see them before they put them on, check the manufacture date and check that the product matches what you are paying for (with prices which are already unbelievably high).
