So genuine and warm and genuinely wanted us to find the right place for us, which we did, thanks to her help. Buying made Easy !!
We were looking for a property in the area close to our friends. We also heard of the horror stories (mostly online) of Americans having difficulties finding and buying property in France. We found the right place and we found the right agent, Tuyen. She works with her husband, Vince. They both speak French and English. The transaction went smoothly and Tuyen worked overtime communicating with us in Los Angeles through the entire process. Tuyen and Vince offered advice and helped with translating so after the sale was complete with obtaining a bank account and utilities. WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS BY OURSELVES. Not only were they totally professional with the process, but they went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed for our start in France. They treated us like friands or family, not just a client. I can't give higher praise.

We had an excellent experience with Leggett Immobiliser
We had an excellent experience with Leggett Immobiliser when buying our French house this spring. Our Estate Agent, Tuyen Scherer gave exceptional service throughout the whole process. She was always open and honest, and went 'over an above' in terms of service in order to make everything go as smoothly as possible, often providing advice far beyond the usual in order to help us settle into our house (e.g. help with connecting to utility services). Any queries, or concerns we had were responded to almost immediately every time. It was great to have one person to deal with from the very first time we viewed the house, upto (and including!) the settling in period after picking up the keys. The legal team at Leggett were also really helpful...offering English translation of key documents and guidance throughout.
We are so glad that we chose to buy our house with Leggett - I'm not sure we could have done it without the additional support this company provides.

Ann McCarthy is very knowledgeable about the properties she has on her list, she answered our questions, usually within minutes, without making us feel we were a nuisance, sometimes at unsocial hours. Ann is very professional, but puts you at ease very quickly.

Great agent in Angers
Melanie Lewis was a tremendous help to us when we arrived in France from the U.S. and began looking for a property to purchase in the Angers area. Hello A, we were quite surprised to see your latest review as it is largely the same as the one you posted in October 2025 and we did reply to your points by email exchange at that time. Your property has not been marketed with us since that time, some 3 months - since the point when you cancelled your listing with us and placed the property on the portal you mention. We do hope that your own marketing of the property is going well and wish you much luck with finding a buyer.
Would def avoid to work with them a next time.
I would avoid to work with them a next time. Depends on the local agent I guess, but our experience was bad. Not supplying enough information about the house, incorrect information, wrong procedures. The information in the selling text was totally inaccurate. Some agents are impatient, not communicating well, not helpful in the searching process. No wonder some houses don't sell.
If you really want the house they are offering, it can be difficult. It's normal that house have hidden issues, but at least supply a client with the full, correct information in time and not vague answers. Having to buy a house with them has at the end cost us a lot of extra money. I would never let them sell my house.

The main reason for our 5 star review is quite simple - Sian Maher! She was outstanding, a true professional, mentor, shoulder to cry on, IT teacher and all round general good person. Nothing was too much trouble for her, everything we asked of her, and we asked a lot, was dealt with in a friendly efficient manner which made the whole process very easy. She has got to be the number 1 estate agent in the La Tania, Courchevel area! if you are thinking of selling, or buying, Sian is your girl! Leggett offered competitive rates and their advertising and reach of potential clients was impressive. In conclusion if you are buying or selling in La Tania, Courchevel area Leggett is the company to go for and Sian is the person you must ask for!
