Assez nul. Les groupes ne sont pas divisés par niveau, on se retrouve donc avec des étudiants de niveau A1 mélangés avec des C2, ce qui est frustrant pour tout le monde. La procédure pour trouver et s'inscrire aux sessions Zoom est limitée et devrait être améliorée. Les profs sont sympas (ce n'est pas de leur faute) mais les leçons à télécharger sont moyennes. Allez ailleurs. Vous trouverez mieux.

Pretty bad. The groups are not divided by ability, so you will find students at level A1 mixed with C2 which is frustrating for everyone. The method for signing up for zoom sessions is clunky and needs to be improved. The teachers are nice (this is not their fault) but the downloadable lessons are average. Go elsewhere, you will find better. I did.

I have membership of three similarly structured online French language courses and thus far I have found FA to be the least helpful of the three. It has very little structure and does not provide a guided process of language improvement. There are many opportunities for group practice in zoom meetings etc etc but they offer the chance to speak with other people whose French is also not necessarily that good and therefore it is hard to learn from them. Many of the talks that I have paid for are available for free on YouTube and the lack of tests or grammar is often frustrating as there is no way to measure success. Since I am not in a position to speak with actual French speakers ever, I get no feedback. Maybe I'm missing something in the program as others seem very enthusiastic but, despite doing some aspect of the program every day I don't think my ability to converse well has improved at all.

I just started with the academy about a month ago. I found it very informative and helpful. The teaching is very practical and you learn the language while improving your own wellbeing and learn about the French culture.

Je pense que ma fluidité est déjà beacoup mieux qu’ au début de mon enrollement à l ‘académie.

I liked it so much

L'académie Français Authentique is a great find ! Teachers are very nice and friendly, great tech support, quick reply whenever I have a question or comments . It offers many different lessons and activities to interact with teachers and other students from different parts of the world, which is a plus. Their lessons are very rich , clear, organized, well planned and well thought-out. It is like a one stop shop with excellent quality to learn and to keep making progress in French.

This is great place to practice French, the tutors are always there, and you will have contact with people of the entire world, all while speaking French.

I started to learn french a year & a half ago. I’ve tried gamified apps, attended classes, listening to podcasts, youtubes, learning sites…. like many language learners do I think. When attempting to ‘parler en francais’ avec natifs , my mind is blank or blocked, mentally & language-wise . I asked Chatgpt for recommendations & searched each of them. I finally decided to give L’academie FA a try.

My goal is to work on speaking & listening skills. To my surprise, I was like being air-dropped all of a sudden in a french speaking city. There are for sure plenty of learning materials; regular tutor-led sessions for oral practice, reading club, workshops. On top, participants from all over the world share candidly their experiences, hobbies, adventures, thoughts, ideas etc on their private social platform (FB, Insta) and it’s ALL IN FRENCH! It’s a truly immersive & vibrant experience!

For beginner like me, I have to work extra hard but I'm enjoying the journey. I am still adjusting my pace. It’s truly a delight to run into FA, learning a language I enjoy, at the same time meeting new friends & expanding life experiences, in an immersive manner.

I only started and quit recently. Overall the community was warm and welcome, no hate, anybody was super nice. But, and this is why I quit, the hours for attending classes is in 95% during working times, which means between 8-18 o'clock, which is truly impossible for me. The evening classes are made by students for students and some of them are quite good, others not. And there is no correction when speaking. I would very much like to improve my speaking skills, but without correction from a teacher this is impossible. The subjects which can be studied - the videos - are very long and without any further effetcs (there's a bunch on youtube for free). Afterwards there is a long mp3 with pronounciation exercise, which can be very helpful for students who need it. But also here, I think it is too long, you get tired very easily and there is nobody correcting you. My advice: invest in a good teacher and some books. Maybe even find a podcast that you like and support it via patreon (like: Easy French).

This Academy truly lives up to and exceeds expectations. I've studied French off and on for years, but never truly got comfortable immersing myself in the language until I challenged myself with l'académie française authentique. They will have you speaking from day 1 and they will challenge you to speak about many different topics each week. The community is friendly and welcoming. There are numerous resources available to strengthen your weak areas and weekly meetings at various times of the day to put your effort into practice.

If you have learned the basics of French and are looking to learn to communicate by practicing with supportive tutors and fellow students from across the globe, and want to bring the language to life, I couldn't recommend a better online learning environment than Français Authentique. Plenty of materials are available on diverse topics so you can choose your focus to suit your needs and interests at the moment, and there are many opportunities to get involved in online video and text chats so you're really using the language to communicate. I enjoyed their free podcasts and videos for years before becoming a member, and I can say with confidence that a membership is well worth the cost!

Although I have only recently begun to belong to the Français Authentique (FA) community, I am already impressed with the wealth of resources - forums, tutorials and tutors, carefully prepared modules, etc.
FA is dynamic - new materials are constantly produced, community feedback helps guide future development, and the member forums are active and supportive.
I have the impression that the opportunity for learning and immersion is limitless. Also there is no ‘gamification’, nor are there repetitive exercises. Only a wonderful resource for would be Francophones.

The academy has many resources that are of a good variety. For example, you can listen to audio stories, and pronunciation guides. They have live sessions for group chats and dictation practice. The academy is very responsive to group requests, such as when members wanted to do a live session to cook together.

The Académie français authentique is one of the best online teaching programs that I have used. The instruction is exceptional and covers all levels. It is used not only by me, but numerous other individuals in our French "Reunion" group in The Villages, Florida. I highly recommend you check it out.

This is a superb resource- the best thing after living in France itself! There are plenty of opportunities to practise French with native French speakers in interesting, thought- provoking discussions as well as plenty of opportunities for self learning at one’s own pace by studying the dozens and dozens of written modules on offer covering a diverse range of subjects, including French history and culture. What a fabulous team putting in so much hard work behind the scenes!

After years of using apps to achieve a low-intermediate level of French, I joined Français Authentique to help me achieve some fluidity. There are so many ways to learn, from the interesting modules on a variety of topics to live conversations on Zoom. The community is very supportive and encouraging. I love meeting French learners from around the world. I am not able to travel right now, but I feel like I am gaining cultural experience every day.

FA is the perfect community for learning written and spoken French. I am very impressed with Johan Tekfak's creation. The content is excellent and the tutors are super encouraging.

Français Authentique makes it very easy to work on your French everyday. There is so much interesting content and zoom sessions at different times that fit in with your schedule

Good value for money, professional content and a huge amount of it

It's a great concept, but I found the execution very disappointing. The tutors never spend one-on-one time and tend to put you on the spot to come up with some conversation. I found that I can do better with private tutors on other sites for about the same amount of money. The other material on FA can be found free on the web.
I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars since I realized that one big advantage is you get to know the other students! I miss that! Will try to rejoin :)
