DO NOT USE A BRAND NEW LUGGAGE for…
DO NOT USE A BRAND NEW LUGGAGE for Check In!!
My checked in luggage was damaged on the way back and a filed a claim for damaged luggage. My claim was denied after about a month asking for the status of my claim citing "wear and tear".
DO NOT BOOK WITH FLAIR AIRLINES
I booked with Flair Airlines. I had to cancel my flight due to the National Emergency and closure of Puerto Vallarta. Flair would not at first allow me to cancel my flight. After hours of arguing, they issued me with a credit, less $150 Admin Fee! WTF. Do they not realize the irreparable damage by cheaping out and playing with peoples hard earned money. I will NEVER book a ticket with this Airline in my life. SCAMMING MF. I hope that everyone who reads this message adds cautions to booking with FLAIR Airlines. Even in a National Emergency, when a Destination is CLOSED for Incoming flights, they still do not give a refund. CAVEOT EMPTOR
Horrible
I had a very disappointing experience with Flair Airlines. I have flown multiple times with the exact same backpack as my only item, and it has always been accepted as a personal item. On this flight, however, I was suddenly told at the gate that it counted as a carry-on and was forced to pay an extra fee.
There was no clear explanation, no measurement shown to me, and no consistency with my previous flights. It feels unfair and arbitrary when rules are enforced differently depending on the airport or staff member.
As a passenger, you expect consistency and transparency. Being charged unexpectedly at the gate puts unnecessary stress on travelers and feels like a cash grab.
Very disappointed with the lack of consistency. I will seriously reconsider flying with Flair Airlines again.
HORRIBLE AIRLINE!!
Check the reviews. This airline has cancelled on me 3 times!! First from Las Vegas to Toronto. No rebook, no assistance at all to get me there. I had to scrambled to buy another ticket from another airline to keep my trip to Europe in place. I was issued a travel credit. I rebooked to Vancouver. That was cancelled. Rebooked again, that was cancelled. They will not refund my money because the credit card I used on the original purchase has been closed. They claim to have no other recourse. a rep did tell me I would be refunded. Then another agent later told me sorry he was incorrect. So they can keep my travel credit. I would not trust flying with them EVER. This is the worst airline in North America! If you are thinking of flying with these clowns. Plan to see something like this: "We're sorry to let you know that your Flair Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Vancouver has been cancelled due to a schedule change." 👎
1 Star
1 Star – Extremely Disappointing and Costly Experience
Our experience with Flair Airlines was extremely frustrating from start to finish.
When traveling to Calgary, we arrived early and completed check-in on time. We later received a notification that our flight was delayed. Based on this message, we believed we had additional time before boarding closed.
At security, there were delays related to liquid restrictions. After clearing security, we had approximately a 20-minute walk to reach the boarding gate. Despite the delay notification, we were informed that the flight had already been closed 20 minutes early. We were denied boarding.
There was no assistance offered. We were simply told to purchase new tickets. We were forced to rebook at a significantly higher price than our original fare.
On our return flight, the issues continued. My boyfriend was charged $132 for a name correction. The name had been entered correctly during booking, yet an error appeared on the boarding pass. Despite this not being our mistake, we had no choice but to pay the fee in order for him to travel.
Additionally, the check-in staff at Calgary International Airport were dismissive and unprofessional. One staff member even stated, “No one asked you to book a flight,” which was shocking and inappropriate.
Overall:
• Delay notification received but flight closed early.
• Forced to repurchase tickets at a higher price.
• Charged $132 for an error we did not make.
• Experienced rude and unhelpful customer service.
This trip was meant to be a special occasion but instead resulted in financial loss and unnecessary stress.
We expected better communication and basic professionalism. Based on our experience, we would not choose to fly with Flair Airlines again.
Can not online check in the day before
Can not online check in the day before, next day arrived Vancouver Airport 2 hrs earlier,, counter closed also can not counter check in, the flight had been delayed for 1 hour without any reason, so I have to another airline to SFO, This the worst experience ever, I prefer 0 star for Flair.
Flair Airlines' customer service is…
Flair Airlines' customer service is very slow, it took a long time to resolve the issue.
I had the worst experience
I had the worst experience flying with Flair Airlines.
I traveled from Vancouver to Edmonton with my backpack and was not asked to check it or pay any additional fees. However, on my return flight, for the exact same backpack, I was suddenly required to pay $99. There was no clear explanation for this inconsistency .
This feels extremely unf(L)air and like a very poor business practice. Charging customers differently for the same item on the same route is unacceptable.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience and will never travel with Flair Airlines again. Absolutely horrible experience.
Bad experienced and gave me a lot of…
Bad experienced and gave me a lot of hustled, never try this again, it’s like a scam for carry on and check-in luggage fees, too expensive if you add for more check in luggage and inconsiderate staff
Repeated Bag Repeated bag Checks and Dismissive Treatment
We recently had a very disappointing experience at the airport and feel it is important to share.
We attempted to complete online check in multiple times before arriving at the airport but kept receiving system errors. We tried again on the way and experienced the same issue. Once at the airport, we attempted self check in at two separate kiosks and again received errors.
At the counter, we were asked to provide proof of the system error. We were unaware that screenshots were required as no such instruction appeared during our attempts. Even more concerning, only part of our group was able to check in under the same reservation, which created additional confusion and stress.
During baggage verification, we followed all instructions and placed our personal items into the sizer. Four fit without issue. One required adjustment, and we immediately agreed to remove items and pay for an additional carry on bag. Despite cooperating and agreeing to pay, we were repeatedly instructed to re place all bags into the sizer multiple times. A second attendant was called and the entire process was repeated again.
When we politely mentioned that the bags had already been checked several times, we were told the agent could make us redo the process as many times as he wanted and that boarding could also be refused. We were also told we could “go ahead and complain.” This felt unnecessarily intimidating, especially since we were fully cooperating and trying to resolve the matter calmly.
We ultimately paid for the additional bag. However, at the gate we observed other passengers placing bags into the sizer forcefully and being allowed to proceed without additional charges, which raised concerns about consistency.
We completely understand and respect airline baggage policies. Rules are rules. However, the repeated checks, dismissive communication, and tone used made the experience stressful and embarrassing for our family.
We hope the airline reviews both the system issues and the way this situation was handled. Clear communication and respectful treatment go a long way, especially when families are already dealing with travel stress.
If anyone else has experienced similar issues with check in system errors or inconsistent baggage enforcement, I would be interested to hear your experience.
First time flying with Flair never…
First time flying with Flair never again! Great price on ticket however my carry on did not fit into their small box. I ended up having to pay $110 for my small carry on! You don't have a choice.
They charge you for every single thing
They charge you for every single thing. Stay away from them. I was able to travel with my personal bag going to Canada. But coming back they charged me over $100 for that same bag. Even though you book as a group they deliberately make everyone sit separately. They try to pinch every penny out of you.
The worst flight experience Ive ever…
The worst flight experience Ive ever had. Employees on their phones being ratchet and laughing after I missed my flight. Took 2 hours to get my lost luggage. Unhelpful.
Flair is a perfectly fine airline
Flair is a perfectly fine airline. You just need to know their rules. Our 2 return flights with 2 big bags each was $1,000 less than Air Canada. Definitely get the Express option. Both check/ ins were totally painless - Express is like business class checkin. Your can safely ignore any whinges in the reviews about baggage etc - just people who don’t do their homework. They have a modern fleet. I’m from Australia and don’t work for them. With the money we saved we had a great dinner in Calgary. Good luck Flair.
AWFUL!! AWFUL!! AWFUL!! AWFUL!!!
AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL !!!!!!!Experience. I will never ever! ever!Fky with these clowns again. Too long to explain. HORRID!HORRID! HORRID!!

Have been unable to get a refund they promised in writing for the past 10 months, had to submit a complaint to the CTA. Waiting on the CTA to force their hand to pay the money they promised.

This airline is garbage they cancel of a flight on me and they never give me my money back. They are the one that canceled. I have the proof I tried many times to get my money back and nobody never answered my calls or emails this was a year ago what a dishonest company do not ever buy a flight with them

I use them to fly from Toronto to gdl all the time and yes their sizing for carry ons is so stupid but they are always on time and the flight attendants are so nice as well. Will keep using them
Absolutely horrible airline
Absolutely horrible airline, tickets cancelled for no reason
Absolute garbage airline
Absolute garbage airline. It looks low cost but then they go after every dime in your pocket. $70 for a carry on? I made an error, paid for checked when it should have been carry on. They WOULD NOT help at all, said it's policy.....c'mon, it was two weeks before the flight and they refused to switch it. The seats on the flight were the most uncomfortable ever, even with the extra legroom we paid for. They didn't even offer a glass of water on the flight. Bags took forever to offload. DO NOT FLY FLAIR
