I needed to travel to Melbourne with my…
I needed to travel to Melbourne with my dog, and dealing with airline websites was a hassle. Fly Fairly turned out to be surprisingly simple to use. I reached out to their support team to clarify the pet travel policies, and Angel responded quickly and was really helpful. The trip went smoothly without any problems. I’d consider booking with them again if the fare is reasonable.

FlyUnfairly: 16% Non Refundable Service Fee
BE CAREFUL - FlyFairly charges a non-refundable service fee (£180 or 16% in my case) just to book a flight — something I’ve not seen with other travel platforms, do not miss it!
I only realized I paid that fee after canceling the flight within Etihad’s 24-hour free cancellation window. Etihad confirmed I was eligible for a full refund, but FlyFairly refused to return their service fee, stating they were doing me a “favor.”
They also mishandled my booking, listing my wife and children as adults and omitting my infant entirely. When I contacted them, they blamed the airline’s system and claimed the airline had approved the correction, but no change appeared online, and I didn’t feel comfortable taking that risk without seeing confirmation. I canceled within 20 minutes.
Their customer support was unprofessional — using emojis, dismissive tone, and avoiding responsibility. At one point, they claimed refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis, but this message was later edited and removed, which raises concerns about transparency.
Regardless of how they justify it, the fact remains: they charge you a high service fee to book a flight online, and it’s non-refundable.
Most platforms do not do this, and I strongly suggest booking elsewhere especially if you end up having to cancel and communicating with them

Steve’s review is polite, which was not quite the abusive language we experienced in chat 😅 (we keep full logs, Steve).
The real story? He asked to cancel, got refunded. The end ☺️💜
- Etihad confirmed all three passengers were booked correctly. The infant not showing was a known display glitch on their side (we can’t control airline system errors unfortunately!)
- He asked us to cancel, and we secured a full refund, even though the fare was non-refundable
We’ve all met a 'Steve'; 100% refund for his non-refundable flight (even though the airline said no) and he still reviews us like we stole Christmas 😅🤷♂
We still love you, Steve.
