So. If you're in KSA on Iqama, they still let you book using your home country Passport details, but won't allow web check in. And when you go to the counter for check in, they will charge you extra.

Critical Review of Flyadeal – A Deeply Disappointing Experience

Flyadeal cancelled both my confirmed flights just 3 days before travel, over a weekend, and forced me into inconvenient new timings. My Friday flight ruined family plans, and the return change made me miss work and lose pay. This was unethical, last‑minute, and completely avoidable. I’ve lost trust in this airline. Travelers should be very careful — Flyadeal is not reliable.

Avoid by all means

Very bad airline. Poor communication, inexistent customer service .

They lost my bag, and made no effort to assist in any way.

Just said I had to file for compensation. (Which doesn’t cover the value of my stuff even close)

Avoid flying with this airline.

Hidden Fees and Zero Flexibility—Avoid flyadeal

I am extremely disappointed with flyadeal’s rigid policies and lack of customer empathy. After a booking error (the date defaulted to April instead of March), I tried to correct the mistake immediately. Flyadeal’s system is designed to penalize customers rather than help them.

They are demanding a 450 SAR change fee per ticket, even though my original tickets only cost 357 SAR and 316 SAR. It is cheaper to throw the tickets away than to change them. To make matters worse, be prepared for hidden costs at the airport; they usually charge an extra minimum of 30 SAR per seat just to board.

A "low-cost" airline shouldn't mean "predatory" service. Save your money and book with an airline that actually values its passengers.

The worst airlines in the world

The worst airlines in the world. They lost baggage. They do not have support. Awful. How is it possible to be soooo ignorant? We lost money as couldn’t get into our next flight because of them. Do not choose them

Terrible Customer Service and Zero Empathy

My experience with flyadeal has been extremely disappointing.

I made a genuine mistake when booking my round-trip ticket — I selected the wrong dates more than a month before the flight. It was an honest error, and there was plenty of time before departure. However, the airline showed absolutely no flexibility or empathy, even towards a frequent customer.

To make matters worse, I had to wait three hours before being assisted. When I was finally attended to in Dammam, the support I received was unacceptable. The representative was unhelpful, dismissive, and eventually hung up on me without providing any solution. I was even told that my email request would not receive a positive response.

I submitted the formal request anyway. After waiting an entire week, I received nothing more than an automated response stating that it was “company policy” and that the only option was to pay additional fees to change the flight.

This is not about policies — it’s about customer care, flexibility, and basic respect. The lack of professionalism and empathy is shocking. I strongly reconsider flying with flyadeal again and would not recommend it to anyone who values proper customer service.

A truly disappointing experience.

Flight

Flight: F3 9771 (Jeddah – Tashkent)
Date: 10 January 2025

This was one of the worst airline experiences I have ever had.

The flight was delayed from 03:50 to 08:10, but the real issue was not the delay — it was the complete absence of communication.

Passengers were fully checked in and then left waiting at Jeddah Airport for more than 12 hours:
- No aircraft assigned
- No announcements or explanations
- “Go to gate” status frozen for over 5 hours
- Extremely uncomfortable seating and facilities
- No support at all for families and children

This was not a low-cost airline issue — it was a total operational and customer service failure.

If you are traveling with children or family, I strongly recommend avoiding this airline until serious improvements are made.

7 hours in the airport due to cancelled flight.. it's understandable that flights have to be cancelled sometimes due to weather. but its not OK to keep customers waiting for hours during the night to wait luggages to be returned, with no updates whatsoever

Refusal to Refund Despite Medical Emergency

I was scheduled to fly with Flyadeal (Booking Ref: L39BSL), but due to a severe, unforeseen medical emergency, I was declared 'Medically Unfit to Travel' by doctor. I followed all proper protocols: I informed the airline immediately and submitted medical documentation well before the flight date.

While Flyadeal accepted my medical reason for cancellation, they callously refused to issue a cash refund to my original payment method. Instead, they trapped my hard-earned money in a useless 'Credit Shell' (Voucher).

Forcing a customer who is medically incapacitated to accept a travel voucher instead of returning their money is not just poor customer service; it is unethical. A credit shell is of no value to a person who cannot fly due to health reasons.

I demand a full reversal of this decision and a refund to my bank account.

Passengers beware: Flyadeal has zero empathy for medical emergencies and will hold your money hostage.

Terrible airline that will steal your money

I tried to check in online to get my boarding passes for me and my family but I kept getting an error. When I got to the airport they told me it would cost 150 riyals for the boarding passes. I showed them how it wasn't working. They tried too and couldn't figure it out and then just said it wasn't their problem. If I wanted to get on the plane I'd have to pay the 150 riyals. I've never dealt with anything like this before. It was completely their fault and they made me pay. I tried to contact the company and got this standard line over and over again just giving me a link to their policies about boarding passes. Do not fly with flyadeal!!!!

I have sent more than 97 emails to Flyadeal about my lost baggage, but have never received any response.
I even contacted the CEO and Customer Service Manager, but still no reply.
This is unacceptable and shows a lack of responsibility toward passengers.
I request that Flyadeal improve communication and take care of customer issues seriously.
