Excellent hospitality at the out set!
I was greeted immediately upon arrival by the staff asked me how she can help me I told her I was there to open an account. She proceeded to take me to Jorge Silva Guishard who assisted me immediately in the opening of the account. Very helpful explaining throughly the services they provide.

If I could give a negative "Star" I would. Trying to cash out an IRA that I am a beneficiary on and it's been an absolute joke. The customer specialist is not knowledgeable enough to be doing IRA's and it's taking multiple days to get the money that we needed sooner rather than later. I am very disappointed with the service and honestly will not bank here once this is all settled. I've had an account since 2000. 26 years and will not recommend to anyone! Do better for your loyal customers.
Absolutely the worst customer service…
Absolutely the worst customer service ever. To think these people are in charge of my mortgage. I always pay my payments ahead of time and now all of a sudden my payments are being rejected because they "can't locate the bank routing number" I've been paying from this bank account for years. Absolutely disgusted and I couldn't even speak to anyone besides "Diego" or his manager "Dora". What is this? Dora the explorer trying to find my bank account?
I've been a customer for 13 years
I've been a customer for 13 years, and I'll be closing my account next Monday because of the behavior and attitude of their head teller at the Campbell Lane location in Bowling Green, Ky.
She was insolent, arrogant, rude demeaning, haughty and used weaponized incompetence (literally forcing me to seek help at the Veteran's Memorial branch in Scottsville, Ky). The women at the Scottsville branch provided me with the level of service that I was accustomed to receiving.
The last auto loan that I held went through First Bank BECAUSE of their superior customer service.
I offered both Chelsey and her manager the option to verbally apologize to me for hanging up on me (twice) and being incredibly rude and intentionally unhelpful. They declined that option.
Terrible bank to do any business with
Terrible bank to do any business with, not ideal for business customers. Bank should be renamed as business frustrations bank of Nigeria, compelling business customers to open accounts with them or get frustrated by illegally withholding funds
FirstBank is a horrible bank
FirstBank is a horrible bank. Their fraud department will flag online shopping orders as suspicious and even places a number on how many transactions you can have in a week’s period. This includes ATM transactions, purchases, etc. I have to call FirstBank and tell them my Temu order, for example, would not go through even though there was an available balance. I was told that I was spending an awful lot and did I know that Temu had a lot of fraud? I said I wanted my order to go through and was asked if I was still going to use Temu to which I replied, yes. This is a micromanagement banking company to which I would not recommend using. To their credit, after many phone calls where I had to confirm it was indeed my purchase, they actually caught fraudulent activity yesterday. Saved me $2500! But now, I have to wait 2-3 days for FedEx to bring a new debit card bc there is no nearby bank where I am. Apparently, the bank could not take suspension off of my card without the fraudulent transactions going through. For reference, my daughter worked at a bank and that bank could freeze individual transactions long enough for the client to at least take money out at the ATM to get them by in the interim.
Reliable, fast, professional
I've been using Firstbank for nearly 6 years and it has never disappointed. Customer service is quick, the company is honest, and my balance is always quick to update after any transaction.
The worst Bank
The worst Bank , deserve negative stars.... they overcharge you on your mortgage, put principal payments in unauthorized charges, Most crooked bank ever... and then to top it off their Philipines call center is good for nothing ... except for telling you vague stories and repeating your words over and over again.
If you have a choice DO NOT BANK WITH THEM. I wonder FDIC has not taken them out of business.
someone shall do an enquiry of conduct on them....
Did a currency exchange (euro to…
Did a currency exchange (euro to dollar) via this bank. First of all, they don’t publish the exchange rates anywhere which is already fishy. Then they claimed that it’s because they’re doing the exchange via Wells Fargo. On the day of the exchange the euro to dollar rate at Wells Fargo was 1 euro = 1,04 dollars. 1 dollar was 0.96 euro. They’ve done the exchange visa versa calculating that 1 euro was equal to 0.96 dollars. I’ve lost $170 due to their mistake and they disagree to confirm it was their mistake. First they told it was Wells Fargo’s commission which was ridiculous cause it wasn’t mentioned in the receipt. Then another branch office said that the commission is actually already mentioned in the receipt and it’s $10 (which is quite different to $170). When we tried to claim that it was their mistake they started saying that they were using some “feed exchange rate” rather than international rate. How come if euro costs more than dollar their feed exchange rate states otherwise?
Long story short they’re just thinking their customers are idiots and they would never admit their mistakes. Would never use this bank.

I was endeavouring to help.my friend in Jordan pay for a serious energy gallbladder and the woman called Tracy...so called " customer service" basically bullied me and refused to allow me to use my account. I was in tears asking her to transfer me to someone else and she rang off. See the recording yesterday please. I rang again
and was helped by 2 excellent ladies...Eleanor Maguire and Dawn Scoba.
First credit by first bank
First credit, a loan facility from first bank Nigeria is a total scam and they are thieves.
I borrowed 30k from first credit to sort out a pressing need.
I agreed to pay on the due date.
Just one day after, someone sent me 150k.
My account balance was 120k instead of 150k that was sent.
As if that was not enough, more than 5 days after, the app still shows I'm owing 30k.
First credit by first bank is worse than the loan sharks in Nigeria and everyone should avoid them.
TheFirst in Purvis
I went to TheFirst in Purvis, MS, to apply for a personal loan and to open an account last week. Met with a very nice person that took my information. She forwarded it to the loan officer who was in the Orange Grove branch. She said he would call me the next day. Next day, no call. The following day I called him and left a message. No returned calls. Next day left another message. No returned call. If this is the way that potential customers are treated, I will recommend that you not waste your time going there.
Values customers at every branch, no fee checking, great app as well.
I’ve been with FirstBank (FirstBank Online) which is a TN bank for about 8 years. At a time where I was getting life on track and needed a checking account that was actually for the customer…FirstBank was the one. They were kind, and I only had $50 to start one up, and they did. A checking account there is free, no monthly fees at all, and pays interest. The debit card is free and the great news is if you need to use an atm and requires a fee….FirstBank refunds those fees the following month. The customer service every time I go in is great and so many amenities. They value you. Even had a Facebook hack and wanted to cross my Ts and dot the I’s so the FirstBank app allows you to toggle off your debit card so no one can use it if a situation of loss or data occurs. I went to a branch and the literally printed me a free new debit card on the spot in like 3 minutes and while I waited went over the last few transactions to make sure I made them. I recently requested a new debit card as to have the tap option on it which is so convenient. The FirstBankOnline app has come A LONG way. Use to be the biggest hurdle but simple at same time. But in the time I’ve been with them it’s a great app with an user friendly interface. Easy to deposit checks via the app, check balances and transfer funds if need be. Has transactions broken down well. In a world where the struggle is Significant and every penny counts, If you want a bank that values customers, doesn’t take from you, FirstBank Online is the best in the banking world.
How FirstBank treats the disabled
If there were less than one star I would leave that as a review, and here's why.
I went in to start a new checking and savings account.
In their advertisizing it said that they would add 300$ to your account after 3 successful direct deposits.
I fell in arrears, and was overdrawn.I got one text saying to call their customer service so I did.It kinda freaked me out.
I explained to them that I was disabled and that I only get paid once a month and that's when i could rebalance my account.
They said it wouldn't be any kind of problem and not to worry about it,so I thought everything was ok.
Dec of 2023 fell on friday,Monday was the 4th.
The date of the debt was Nov 3rd 2023,when I went in Monday they took 1/3 of my disability check for the arrears, which is OK.
But they didn't pay me the 300$.
And then, without telling me they were doing it,or why, they closed my accounts.
Which leaves me in a bind,it's Dec and it's sometimes hard for me to get around.
Now I have to figure out how to get to another bank, set up an account and then get to the SSI office and set up another direct deposit.
I'm glad I checked as soon as I did,or I wouldn't even know they closed my account!!
When I called management, they basically told me that since I had a debt over 30 days old, that they weren't going to pay what they said they would.
Inspite of the fact that the deposit got to their bank on the 1st of the month and that that is when they withdrew the money in arrears.
2 days early.
After questioning the management more about it,he was annoyed and basically told me=that's the way it is here get fkd,and hung up.
So now, during christmas w my basically imobilzed self and everything else, they took 1/3 of my disability money, didn't pay what they said they were going to,and closed my account without me knowing.
That's how they they treat the federally recognized disabled people, they mean less than nothing to them and that in fact, according to their management= that's the way it is here.
And that's how they treat you at this bank,I imagine whether you are disabled or not.If you don't make them enough money, you are not really an issue or a person to them
And again,I qoute, straight from managements mouth=That's the way it is.

I used FirstBank for an auto collision insurance settlement. They helped me get my money fast and it didn’t take very long to go through the process. I went to the location in Winchester, TN. The bankers there were very knowledgeable and helpful. They guided me through the process and helped me with every question I had to a t. There are no hidden fees. They are very upfront about their banking. They don’t try to keep your money from you. They will go the extra lengths to let you know exactly which location can pull out what amount for you. They were very respectful to me and my family. I still use this bank to do my direct deposit from my job.

Worst bank
Worst bank. Very bad customer service. Made an airtime purchase of #50,000 since on the 20th of September 2022 still yet nothing that's nearly 3weeks already . Keeps moving me back and forth from customer care to bank. Saying the same thing about resolution. You guys should reverse my money. What's the same talk about automatic reversal if I can't a receive a mere #50,000 and you call yourself a bank. Not the first time this issue is happening. Can't recommend this bank.
