North East Ambulance Service - First Aid Training Reviews 

Thank you for our First Aid training today, Monday 6th September. It was informative, interesting and time went very quickly. Thank you, Pete for bringing us up to date.

Excellent . I chose NEAS because I wanted to be sure that the tutor was an experienced paramedic I was not disappointed the tutor was really good, the course was very interesting and I would HIGHLY recommend NEAS thank you

The first aid course was excellent and presented perfectly by an experienced paramedic who explained anything we were not sure about with confidence i felt that his experience gave me more confidence in doing any first aid i may be required to do

Attended a defibrillator training session earlier today. The paramedic was very knowledgeable and mixed real life experiences into the training session which helped with the overall learning. Here's hoping I never have to use what I learned today.

Professional training and trainer really enjoyed it in these restricted times

I've been a first aider for 20 plus years and this was the best first aid course I've been on. The paramedic who facilitated the course provided us with text book knowledge and then examples of situations where that may not work and what else could be done. Very knowledgeable, areas of first aid I have had a hard time remembering now all make sense.

Honest and real trainer's who gave real life experiences throughout the training course. Usually training courses can feel a bit like death by PowerPoint, but Andy and Tony were enthusiastic and engaging throughout the 2 days.

Informative, straightforward, hands-on.
Instructors were absolutely great, really made it feel interesting and engaging. Gave plenty of practical time to everything that needed it, explained in greater depth where relevant and when asked for. Always kept it understandable for everyone.
Can't be helped that practical stuff was a tiny bit restricted with Covid regulations, so no issues at all really.

Enjoyed the 3 days I spent doing the first aid course. The tutor Pete had excellent knowledge and answered every question asked of him.
Highly recommend it.

A very good requalification course covering a wide range of topics with additional detail when required or requested in a safe and friendly environment.

Absolutely fantastic and comprehensive training with Pete. I've completed a number of first aid training programmes in the past but this was by far the best.
Repeated discussions and (covid safe) practice for CPR etc which was really helpful in consolidating what we had learnt. Plenty of real-life examples, media clips to demonstrate and a well taught training programme.

First aid training was great. Trainer was knowledgeable, friendly and empathetic.

I attended the 3 day first aid course at West Denton. Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 days and made me far more confident to be able to deal with any first aid situations. Malcolm, the course leader, made everything straight forward and easy to follow and as a result I would be far more inclined to attempt first aid.

Was very interesting and well presented.
All questions were answered with no troubles and everything was explained clearly.

This was an update. The educator was friendly and helpful. We are working under difficult circumstances so it was good to know the current changes and how they affect the response we give.
I had the opportunity to practice and get feedback from the educator which was helpful and welcomed.

Fantastic course to learn tony was a top class instructor,gained alot of confidence to be able to give first aid to people who may need it would highly recommend this 3 day course to anyone

The trainer was excellent, he was sympathetic and helped me realised that after carrying out CPR on my neighbour we had done everything we could, and come to terms with the traumatic event.

The trainer was incredibly engaging and not only made us feel at ease but was also helpful in explaining and demonstrating the concepts. I learned a lot of information in such a short amount of time. It helped that he made it very entertaining as well and I truly enjoyed the experience, felt very comfortable, and learned a lot. Thank you for the experience!
