Fake stock and bad communication
I'm a professional in the design field. I buy and sell. I do a lot of shipping everywhere. I rarely buy on design platform. With Finnish Design Shop I understood once again that this is not the best. I ordered an item on Jully 20th because it was in stock and they proposed a delivery on Jully 28th. A month later the item is not here. They ship with a cheap service from DHL. So you get a tracking number but you can't get precise information from DHL. After a month the parcel was still in Germany. It seems that it never moved. After sending several mails to Finnish Design Shop I got answers like "just wait". I've been asking a refund but they asked me to wait again. A month after my order the parcel appeared on the DHL platform as "sent back to the seller". They might say that I had asked myself to cancel but actually they never confirmed since they were keeping on saying "just wait". I didn't get the money back yet. I wonder what is a company that says that they have items in stock but they don't. I wonder where the money goes during this time. This is the second time I buy on this sort of platform. So here is my idea : If you love design don't buy on it. Buy from the producer itself. This is the best. You pay the price and not a fake good price. In the end it's super disappointing.

Poor Customer Service
I've placed a couple of orders with Finnish Design Shop, and my experience hasn't been great. UPS lost my first Finnish Shop order, took weeks of chasing until I was eventually refunded. Most recently I tried to order a small item to an order and it would have resulted in adding a month to the delivery date (not to mention the estimated dates they give seem to be completely inaccurate). For a premium shop, I expect much more.

Excellent Service and Product!
I have recently returned from Finland and while in Helsinki I visited the Artek Store. I have been a fan of Alvar Aalto's Design for many years and saw the Limited edition Aalto Stool 60 Kontrasti while in store. Due to luggage restrictions I could not purchase and bring back to Australia with me. As a long time customer of FDS I realised they had it available for purchase and delivery so I ordered it. It arrived within 2 weeks and in perfect condition. Extremely happy and looks great in our home!

Worst store ever
Worst store ever. Spent $4000 including a $3500 chair which they shipped without an essential piece and then they had the gall to charge ME for the missing piece and blame for it. Horrendous and fraudulent. I look forward to seeing them go out of business

I want to compliment Finnish Design Shop for their customer service effort.
I ordered my items in February 2023 and only managed to check it in May 2023. I realised that the wrong items were sent to me and I reached out to FDS.
Special shoutout to Ronja - Was very helpful in making sure and she sort it in less than 24 hours.
In short, I am very impressed with the turnaround and support. This is a truly world class portal.

I am extremely disappointed with Finnish Design Shop's service. I have placed two orders with them in the past four months, and none have been delivered on time or in good condition. My first order, placed in January, was delivered three months late and arrived damaged twice. Some of the products were also missing, and still waiting for them. Despite their website indicating that some products were in stock, I was notified from the first order that I needed to replace 3 lamps since, unfortunately, they were out of stock. They offered me a gift card since they informed me that this has never happened again. I decided to accept it and proceed with another order.
For my second order, which was supposed to be delivered end of April, again, all the products were indicated as available, and unfortunately, after one month and without receiving any communication, I accidentally saw in the My Previous Orders tab on my account that my order had not been processed yet.
I have reached out to their customer service team multiple times-more than 20 emails, but unfortunately, I have received no satisfactory response. After my feedback for the not available customer service line, they added the phone number in the email signatures. I have been trying to call them, but they are busy every time I get a response and will call me the next day.
This has been a recurring issue with this company, and it is frustrating to see that they cannot fulfil what they promise. Despite receiving payment, the products ordered have not been delivered per the agreed terms.
For the second order, we proceeded with replacing the non-available products, and an offer was made to me for a maximum discount of 11%. Following extensive communication, I accepted this offer. The following day, the same products were advertised online with a discount of 20%. A representative contacted me to express their apologies and explain that the customer service department is not aware of the promotions that the marketing department will offer. The representative expressed his surprise that this situation occurred again with my order, despite our prior communication regarding the maximum discount that could be provided to ensure profitability which was 11%.
Thus, their lack of responsibility and accountability is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I have spent more than 5 months communicating with them and trying to find a way to receive my orders. I still have not received my paid order.
If you are considering purchasing from Finnish Design Shop, I strongly advise against it. You will only be met with disappointment, frustration, and a waste of your time and money. So, please save yourself the trouble and find a more reliable retailer!

Highly recommend!
Amazing service and the client service is very kind and responsive. My order arrived to Belgium 🇧🇪 earlier than expected. Even if I had an issue with my Muuto side table which was probably a little bit damaged during the transport, they suggested me to get a little refund, a gift card or a new one.
I just didn’t like that they mentioned me that they often have an issue with the payment options.I had to do a bank transfer instead of using PayPal but they conforming by email that my bank transfer was done and sent my order immediately.

Order #593488 over a week late. UPDATED Apparently I should check TNT website myself for an ETA!! Shocking customer service. How about you speak to your own carrier and resolve the issues and get your customer a sensible eta as to when customs process delays will abate and how long the onward delivery is? You seem to have forgotten my contract is with you not your delivery partner. Take some responsibility!!! Now received. Defect in one of the items. Let’s see how good the after sales service is…….the reply below references an email follow up but this was only because I insisted.

Goods not received, no refund issued
Sad experience.
I have waited for my order for more than three months. Have not received either my order or a refund. Now the company refuses to accept the chargeback from the credit card issuer stating that "We don't issue refunds from charge backs as if we do this, we'll need to pay extra for this."
Stay away.

Terrible refund/exchange process
Ordered an Ariake paperwood table, things went smoothly until it sadly arrived damaged.
I have sent pictures of the exterior packaging and damaged table and requested an exchange. The customer service is terrible, non responsive and acting as if it’s the customers responsibility when an item arrives broken. It should be exchanged and then Finnish design shop can undertake its investigation in its own time. Out of pocket €1000 and stuck living with a huge box with a damaged table inside. Bad service, terrible refund/exchange process. Recommend to use any other site!!
Update - Still waiting for exchange 1 month on, item was shipped back via UPS which was good, but the slow process continues

Payed for nothing
I ordered (the 21 of November) some towels and when I checked out I got a message that the order couldn’t go through. I therefore ordered the towels from another website . Later I got an order confirmation and the money was taken from my account. I wrote to costumer service and they confirmed that there was a problem with the website. They cancelled the order but I still haven’t got my money refunded. A week ago they wrote me (after I asked) and said that the refund would be in my account in a few days. I will never shop here again.

Really disappointed with the majority…
Really disappointed with the majority of the process ordering with Finnish Design Shop.
Ordered 2 chairs and a light on 27th November and all was well they shipped on 2nd December. No communication from the logistics company apparently the light was delivered on December 10th but nothing here and no communication on this until December 31st, two chairs were delivered on December 29th.
I understand the delays with UK mail at the moment but I think it’s a joke that I had to chase this and still have not received my full order 1 month later.
The customer support have been helpful but now I have to wait for the delivery company to investigate where my light is. Really not happy with this, just send me a new one considering I have been waiting over 1 month and it has apparently been delivered to a random person.

Avoid at all costs - Ripped off!
Placed an order with item marked as "in stock and shipped within 1 working days"
Two months later it was shipped.
Wouldn’t have been a problem had they told me that upfront.
And worse, on top of that they manage to insufficiently package a very large and fragile item so of course it arrived broken. I received one email asking for photos of their internal packaging and one further email with a demand that I arrange the shipping back to Finland - they promised to send a label which didn’t arrive, and I have emailed repeatedly stating that the damage isn’t my fault and so they need to arrange a courier collection. I also pointed out that in this day and age of climate change is it wise to ship a broken pot across the world so they can throw it away, seeing as they have my photos of a smashed pot and I am
more than happy to throw it away myself. No replies to any of my emails since. And no solution in sight. Ripped off for the sum of £183
