Excellent service as always. After a few years using garages that I had absolutely no trust in, I can’t say it is the complete opposite with Farmers at Neilston Rd. 10/10 as usual. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Very disappointing experience.
My car failed its MOT emissions test and after a Cataclean treatment and retest, I was advised that the catalytic converter had likely reached the end of its life and would need replacing at a quoted cost of around £900–£1200.
I was told the emissions had only improved slightly and that replacement of the catalytic converter was the next step. Considering the age and mileage of the car, I decided to seek further advice before agreeing to such an expensive repair.
After taking advice elsewhere, I was advised to continue driving the car properly on motorway runs to allow the Cataclean treatment and emissions system to work effectively, especially given my usual short-trip driving pattern. After doing this over the weekend, I independently had the emissions tested again at another MOT centre and the emissions passed comfortably.
I then returned for the MOT retest, which the car passed successfully. I was also charged £25 for the retest.
I appreciate that diagnostics can sometimes be difficult, but I am disappointed that such an expensive repair was recommended so quickly without exploring or advising further practical steps first. The experience caused unnecessary stress and concern.

Farmers consistently provide a great service at a reasonable price with excellent customer service. I have had great experiences at several of their autocare centres and would highly recommend them. (Including on one occasion when there was a problem with my vehicle after I collected it and they immediately fixed it and handled the issue very considerately and professionally.)

Turned up without an appointment as had a loose heat shield above my exhaust. Very friendly gentleman at reception said to take a seat and they would look at it directly. Fifteen minutes later I had the key handed back to me and no charge.

The branch in Blackhall, Edinburgh is great. My car's brakes were shot, so the quote was fairly eye-watering, but when I came to collect it they'd decided the brake pipes were good for another couple of years so the price actually went down. I always go there for MoTs too, excellent service, very efficient despite being very busy.

Went to Farmers in Glenrothes as i had a screw in my tire. This happened while i was woking in the community, still had some home visits to do that day. The lads in there had a look and fixed me up with a new tire straight away to get me back to work quickly. Great service and competitive price, thanks guys!
