No International Service

I have had an exposure light for a few years and it has worked great until dropping it recently and the light not working thereafter.

Exposure support asked me to mail it in for service. I did so at the cost of $70 only to have it rejected by UK customs due to the battery (I am located in Canada).

As an international client there is no reasonable way to have the lights serviced as far as I can tell. I am waiting for Exposure lights support to offer a solution. The lights are very expensive and there needs to be a way to service them.

Exceptional staff and products

Used exposure light for about 10 years then it had a minor issue.

Ignored it for a while and realised what I thought was a minor feature on a great light was used by me more than I realised. I took it for granted.

I had no receipt , no proof of purchase just the item .

Contacted the company dealt with Matt Gibbs who was exceptionally helpful.

They fixed it in under two weeks for about 10% of the initial cost which considering its age etc. is superb value .

I think this light will now outlast me

Great company
Brilliant products
Exceptional staff

If every company operated like this most of us would have a fractionally easier life.

Highly recommended

Exposure Lights are simply the best…

Exposure Lights are simply the best bike lights that you can buy, second to none. They last longer, they are brighter, but most of all they are packed with technology that makes using them so good. You know just how much power you have left, how many hours/minutes and what the light is doing.
But even, even, even better than the product is the customer service. Whatever your light is, you can send it back, have it serviced, have it fixed or have the batteries replaced so that mine, 10 years on, is just as good as new. I’ll never buy a light from anywhere else. I’m a long distance endurance rider and I can’t afford to have substandard lights or poor service.

Best Customer Service I ever faced.

The best lights on market without any doubts. High price is definitely worth to pay for excellent quality and durability, big capacity of battery and high power of light. But what the most important is for me is brilliant customer service. If any problems with light, even after warranty period Exposure guys are very helpful and will find solution to make customer happy.

After sitting in my cold damp garage…

After sitting in my cold damp garage for five-years, my 2 Tracer R rear lights are still working - albeit with a third of the battery life. But this is a battery issue not an exposure issue. Due to moisture, most of my tools have rust on them. I reached out to exposure for a service of the lights and they were super helpful with a prompt response. After considering the price and deciding it was not worth it, I stripped the lights to see if i could do a battery mod. Seems like an easy one if you have the right soldering iron tip. I've been super happy with the lights. They are a delight to use except for one thing. When you have cold hands and reach behind to double push the button, it can be difficult to do at times but such is the excellent nature of the sealing of the lights to prevent water ingress. Yes, you pay a premium, but all those Chinese lights will just fail on you - they are super false economy.

Ten years old and still going.

I have the first generation of Sixx Pack lights, the top end most expensive ones.... and it is still going strong.
A few years ago I broke it in a crash and they not only fixed it, but updated the control panel as well. I recall this cost about £50.
This winter the light was dead... no action whatsoever. I sent it back and they replaced a circuit, posted it back to me... about £20 inc postage and turned around within a week.
This is why Exposure lights are the only lights to have. I'm 10+ years in and its still beaming out 3000+ lumins. Now, I know you can't say that about the other light brands (looking at the box of failed lights in the shed)

Fantastic lights for the long term. A great company.

This is one of the best companies I’ve ever bought a product from. They sell superb lights for mountain bikes that will keep you safe at night off road - consistently the best performing in class. My oldest exposure light is a six pack light which is now over 10 years old; it developed a minor switch issue (still useable). Feeling that it owed me nothing after thousands of miles of off road dependability, I sent exposure the torch to see if they could fix it and was happy to pay commercial rates given the use the torch has had - not only did they fix it way outside any possible warranty, they did it for a nominal price. I will never buy bike lights from anyone else.

The lights have been mega since the day I got them, one of the chargers gave up the other day after 5 years of service.

The team went over and above in ensuring I was sorted and back out ASAP at a very reasonable cost too! Amazing company. Fast, caring and effective. 10/10

Super products and customer service

Super products and customer service. Have been using their day bright lights for cycling and feel much safer knowing drivers can see me on the road from a distance. Had issues with the light band wearing out after long use and customer care posted a replacement for free. Very happy customer.

Top-notch company and products

After-sale customer service is outstanding
Products are top-notch throughout, both in terms of functionality as in steadyness.

Due to lack of distributor in Denmark, I've been in contact with Exposure directly, to get some advise to a product.
I've also experienced outstanding service and kindness, in regards to just a very small order (Helmet mount for Diablo and Zenith).
This company has it values right, it is real people one talk to, and they appear not being out to just make the money, but also to make us customers, really have the best experience with the best products.

Having been a competive cyclist since childhood. Now in my 50's still doing a lot of night mtb riding and still competitive. Consequently having worn out a lot of lights over the years.

Getting my hands on Exposure lights (I got the Sixpack MK13- Diablo MK13 and Zenith MK3); The technical features on each of the lights is superb.
- Like: the Sixpack beams down itself on the climbs- to beam up again ones you pace up again. That's such an usefull unique feature, as is the "tap" function on the helmet lights.

My advice is: Don't compare prices when you pick your next light, cause Exposure lights should not be compared in quality to anything else- they outperform.

Excellent products

Excellent products. You can buy lights more cheaply but these will last a lot longer. The quality of the enclosures is excellent. I recently had an old light (long since out of warranty) repaired by their service team. Very prompt turnaround and very reasonable price. Great company

A fantastic company

The lights are best-in-class, and the customer service is as good as any I have experienced in the UK. I had an issue with a near 4 year old light - well beyond the end of the warranty period - and they very quickly repaired it for the unreasonably low price of £14. Including inspection and assessment, repairs and delivery.

Nice products but pricey and a misleading shipping strategy.

Two things at stake : the product and the delivery.

The delivery is where I have most griefs. The price you pay actually doesn't include customs for "international shipments". And if you live outside the UK (US or EU), that's international. For me, living in Belgium, that was 20% of the goods.
They have a banner that warns you, but I missed it. I doubt I'm the only one missing it too.
In 2023 when I purchase something, I'm assuming all additional costs are covered by the retail price. Maybe shipping costs, but at 300 EUR for a lamp, I'm also assuming shipping is included in the price (which it was, ironically).
I bought Hunt wheels - shipped from the UK as well - and never got any issue with customs.

The product I purchased is a Zentih Mk3, great light but that's to be expected considering the price (300 EUR, without import taxes). And while it is super bright, I have a few griefs :
1. At that price point you'd expect ANT+ support for garmin integration. No night flash either (from bright to dimm in a 1 second transition), just daylight flash (on-off mode with instant transition).
2. What the heck is that charging port ?! I don't think it's a proprietary port, but it sure isn't a common one. It's not smaller than USB-C so I don't understand why they don't adopt that one. I commute and the lamp won't last the round trip, having to carry the charger with me every single time is a pain and just an extra thing on my "checklist" every morning. You have to be carrefull not to loose it too, which almost happened to me. If you're buying one of their lamps, make sure to buy a few extra cable (EXPCHARGERUSBCABLE), just in case. And while you're at it, buy a few charging-port silicone protection covers (EXPSTORMCAP). It's a solid protection against water, but it's also finicky to close and I'm always afraid of damaging it when closing the lid.
3. No native compatibility with garmin quick-release system or go-pro. You need to buy an accessory. They have many but poorly documented. It would have been nice to have more images of their accessories and in use (mounted on bikes for instance).
4. The "tap" feature is a marketing gimmick. It's a button. Works well, but it's a button like all other lamps have. That button should also be located at the side of the lamp, IMO
5. In my experience, the lamp doesn't last as long as advertised. Might be just my model, other reviewers say it's on-par with the claims, but mine will usually last at full brightness for about 35 - 40 minutes. My commute is 45 min long so it's a real bummer. It's currently 5°C outside so you can't blame any "temperature-related power loss" either. It's a pitty though, as exposure is - afaik - the only ones giving timing indications.
--
Now on the things I liked
- It comes in a nice box
- This thing is built like a tank
- It's bright, that's for sure.
- It's a beauty, how dumb it may sound
- The customer service, although not very usefull for my requests regarding customs, was very reactive.
- I liked that the company is in the UK, not some chinese retailer. Nothing against China, just liked the fact that the lamps are built close to where I live.

Fantastic customer service - Thank you, Exposure Service Team

I returned a great but, I thought, faulty bike helmet light to the retailer who said it was fine. I disagreed then broke the light frustratedly trying to make it work. As a last hope, I returned it to Exposure. They repaired it FOC and returned it super promptly with a very polite note which made me realise I'd never actually followed their printed instructions for switching it on (with a double press). Sorry and thank you, Exposure Service Team.

Exposure lights

I have been using three old Exposure lights (Toro, Joystick & RedEye) regularly throughout the last 11 years & found them to be high quality as they are durable & provide excellent performance. I then bought a Joystick Mk15 & an impressed with the 1,100 lumens output for remote mtb rides. When I have returned items for servicing the response from Matt & his colleagues in the workshop has been first class.
