Sold faulty modem. FTTP Wifi speeds were only 10mbps but 100 if plugged directly into plug.
Replaced modem with alternative and wifi speeds now 100mbps. Perfect. Want to return faulty modem and get a refund - nope they dont make that easy. Apparently this one is used - yeah for 2 months since you sold it to me! Australian consumer law requires refund for product that is not fit for purpose Exetel.
I was assured that exetel provided great customer service when I signed up earlier this year. What crap. Contacted yesterday and assured would receive a call back this morning - no call. Contacted online - cant help me - need to call. Called in - wont accept return as it is "used" and they cant verify it is faulty.
Just want to return faulty modem and get $ back. Im happy with the speeds I am currently getting (without exetel equipment) and happy to stay IF AND ONLY IF they refund for their faulty equipment.
Due to surgery I am physically unable to move the desk to plug faulty modem back in to prove to them that their equipment is faulty. Wont be in a position to move it for some months and dont feel I should have to pay someone to move the desk so I can prove to exetel that their equip is faulty especially when replacement equip immediately gave good speeds. They dont give a crap - customer service is zero!
Was with our previous provider for nearly 10 years. This is absurd.
Was told a supervisor would contact me - 3 days later, NOTHING.

The agent was simply amazing. We were thinking of moving to another slightly cheaper service but Fallon convinced us to stay with a better plan, not as cheap as we were looking for but definitely a better deal in speed. Also she was extremely patient and helpful and guided us through everything. Phenomenal customer service!

I just signed up and WOW!! signup to getting up running in less than 10minutes no joke. I was so skeptical but their contact center & IT support were able to hook me up with 500mbps from optus at breath taking speeds. Went from paying $100 a month on 100mbps to 500mbps with $80 or less. Best - I can pause my usage during holiday etc. amazing work team!

I had a very disappointing experience as a new customer with Exetel. Without asking when I wanted to start my service, they activated it immediately after I signed up, causing an overlap and double charges from both Exetel and my previous provider. When I reached out for help, their response was dismissive. They simply said they aim to activate services as quickly as possible and offered a vague apology, placing the responsibility on me to deal with my former provider. This lack of coordination and accountability shows a clear disregard for the customer experience.
