Don't fall for it
Don't fall for it. I did and wasted over $1,300 waiting for the "right" BOD role to come along. A good SMB that needs support will know how/where to find support. Any business that relies on ExecRanks to fill a board seat is probably desperate, going out of business, and/or a bad investment. I'm chalking this mistake up to be too trusting and getting oversold.

So the website has been down according to the website isitdownrightnow.com for at least a week. Nobody is answering their phones and e-mail is getting returned. I am a new member and the onboarding process was OK but I do not believe they captured my profile accurately in order to generate proper suggested positions to apply for.
My biggest concern is that it appears after your hour consultation is over there is no additional support, no help line and nobody returning e-mails or calls.
In any case, get the website back up first.

I'm very pleased with what I've seen from ExecRanks
I recently joined ExecRanks and am very pleased with what I've seen so far. The staff has been friendly and professional. They've answered all of my questions and worked to complete a professional bio for me faster than their original estimate. I've already been hired for an hourly consult by one organization I found on ExecRanks and have been invited to interview for a longer term position with that same company. I go onto the website several days a week and have found multiple new opportunities to apply for each time I log in. I'm excited by the opportunity to work with ExecRanks and have a very positive outlook about future opportunities with them.
Excellent performance by ExecRanks
The experience was very smooth and transparent. I was kept informed by ExecRank throughout the process. The handling of all logistics was well done. Very pleased with the process.

The platform is very easy to use and it clearly connects companies and talent in an efficient and timely manner.
The technology platform
The people, process, and general value is good. However, the IT platform is really not good. For example, today I tried to apply to an application, and after ten minutes with the wheel spinning I finally gave up. Then I tried two more times. Their system platform has some serious data or processing issues that significantly hamper the business model.

Exec Ranks Review
Exec Ranks has been instrumental in helping find relevant Board opportunities consistent with my interests, expertise, and career fit. The staff and communication has been excellent.

ExecRanks has made my job as a CEO much easier!
This is a very disappointing board advisory placement company
Advertised Advisory Board members' needs are not all real or are disguised standard positions (sales, finance,...) labeled under the "board advisory" name. These type of jobs that you can find on other free recruitment sites (just take out the board mention). And even if you apply, you will get no answers, not even a professional acknowledgement of receipt. And ExecRanks does nothing to follow up. ExecRanks suggests to keep your membership at least 6 months to receive an answer, it means continue paying the monthly fee. Of course you don't receive an answer, at least I never did. They propose an expensive service to help rewrite your resume: in fact , it ends up copying your LinkedIn profile.

ExecRank: The Answer For Landing a Corporate Board!
After years of serving on boards in the nonprofit sector, I was delighted to be referred to ExecRank as I transitioned to the corporate board setting. Within my first week of ExecRank, I joined my first corporate board! I found the Continuing Board Education (CBE) element of ExecRank to be one of the most valuable resources. Matching companies with individuals seeking to serve on boards is a brilliant partnership which streamlines the vetting process and closely aligns both parties with their needs and intended purposes. I highly recommend ExecRank for those who seek board leadership.
Good company and easy to work with
Good company and easy to work with. Their postings are easy to find and they apply for you to jobs they feel you are qualified for.
Placement process
I had an excellent experience with the board review process. Exec Ranks was beneficial to the placement process.
Fantastic Service!
Over 200 high quality applicants
Over 200 high quality applicants. ExecRanks delivered. In just three months interviewed 19 applicants, shortlisted, offered, and formed our 7 member advisory board We couldn't have found this calibre of advisory without them.
Great product and customer service, not-quite-ready electronic product.
Execrank is legit. I didn't think so at first but I got my first advisory board gig fairly quickly. Interesting work. The site itself is good but not fully-tested. I think they launched a MVP (minimally-viable-product) which I advocate so I can live with that. The customer service and responsiveness, however, is great - just what I was hoping for. Easy to recommend.
ExecRank | Well-positioned to Disrupt
I applaud ExecRank's effort to disrupt an industry that's been dependent on Word-of-Mouth and Who-You-Know. The platform works well and seems to attract a good set of Advisory Board opportunities. The Board positions are much fewer in number. In my first 7 months I was invited onto an Advisory Board.
This service is horrible
This service is horrible. I'm an executive with 25+ years of experience with Fortune 50 companies, have experience on other boards, an MBA from a top school, international experience, etc. In the onboarding stage, they shared that I would have no problem finding a board seat.
After 5 months and over $1,000, I have not had one interview. I have personally applied to over a dozen opportunities. They are all pending. There are multiple issues. First, the UX on the site is not user-friendly, which makes the process laborious. Second, the two times that I complained to someone I received a bunch of random form emails of opportunities that fit me although they were equally random. Finally, a lot of the companies are questionable - some do not even have websites. Putting board opportunities online for early stage companies is great, but they should at minimum have a website.
I would not recommend using this service.
