Looks like a scum exchange. When you sign up Gemini tricks you into making two small payments (just a few dollars each), for the purpose of your «identity verification». Then they disappear for... See more

Gemini is a LIAR!
Gemini started a $10 reference campaign and I also attended many people paid fee, but Gemini canceled this campaign.

They dont credit the referral rewards even though thousands of people trade 100$ and already signed-up with referral link. Very bad experience, i don't recommend
Gemini is my favorite exchange
Gemini is my favorite exchange. I use it as my on-ramp for fiat. Buy BTC using Active Trader (low fees, set my purchase price so there are no surprises), and get free BTC withdrawals.
I mean seriously, what is not to love? By far the best deal... ANYWHERE.
Whoever verifies account at this…
Whoever verifies account at this exchange, they are dead or asleep. It has been more than a month, and my account still not verified. Think about if there is an issue, you will be left praying because there is no one to deal with it.

I registered, gave my full details and a photocopy of my ID and as soon as they received it they closed my account
I wish there was a negative star…
I wish there was a negative star option! Gemini had no issues linking my bank account to enable me to purchase bitcoin; but they claim to be experiencing a "higher than normal" volume of requests and haven't been able to verify my account for two weeks now. I don't have access to my funds without their verification. There is no direct contact for them; just a support email that responds with identical boilerplate messages stating my account isn't verified yet and my support ticket is closed. Their phone number is an automated response telling users to email their support team.
There are nearly 700 similar complaints posted with the Better Business Bureau, dating back to October of 2020, so their "higher than normal" excuse is a complete lie.
Users on Reddit claim to have gotten their money back by making lots of noise on their Twitter feed.
Along with reporting them to the FBI, I filed a complaint with the New York State Department of Financial Services, who regulates their exchange. If you're a victim of the same scam, I suggest you do the same so we can shut these crooks down until the FBI locks them up.
Trying to add a bank account is a …
Trying to add a bank account is a horrendous experience and extremely long wait. it's been several days I have uploaded my ID because their linking software that links your bank account is faulty. I called my bank and the bank was not blocking anything like gemini's software suggested. It's gemini's software not requesting the information properly as my bank informed me. So as an alternative I had to upload my ID information to Gemini. I have had to do this with other exchanges and normally it takes no longer than a day. Rarely it takes 2 days but that's the maximum. With Gemini it's been several days and still "nothing'. Very very inefficient and unprofessional service. I find it ridiculous that these companies go online to offer services when they know very well they can't offer certain services because they are not equipped to handle the demand but offer it anyways. very very selfish way to run a business.
