I have sent two wire transfers from my EverBank savings account, months apart. The first was stopped, flagged for "my safety", where I had to spend a half hour arguing with an Everbank employee, forc... See more

They Lie
They lie, they twitched me from savings 4% to world maket 2.5% (high risk) w/o telling me. Tried to withdraw money asked for printed wire transfer papers, never came. Asked them to mail me a check, they said Fed X needs to me sign - but it never came. Then they said they used USPS but had no tracking number. This bank is NOT trustworthy at all.
DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT
DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT! After a month of it being open, they canceled my account for no reason. If I was committing financial fraud, okay, but yeah, no. Said it was a “bank decision.” When I asked if someone I could talk to could give me a reason, the answer was straight up “no.” Unreal. All I got in initial notification was an email saying we sorry to lose you. Took 2 weeks to open the stupid account with numerous phone calls. And now it’s a headache cause the money is being sent as a check in the mail. Ridiculous. Do not bank with them. Complete regret!
Good for wires
I use them for work and send wire transfers which they are very good at.
Do not open an account with Everbank
Tried to open an account but immediately had so many issues, login credentials not working, site being down. Spent a week going back and forth with customer service trying to access the site. I made the mistake of transferring several grand after I was told the problems would be resolved. Then I called and they, NO LIE, told me that I was "suspicious" and could not have an account with them. Now I have to wait, my money in their hands for a check to come in the mail.
Leaving this bank ASAP
Leaving this bank ASAP - I should have read the reviews, which btw this "bank" now rates at the very bottom of every bank on Trust Pilot. Advertised APR is 4.30%, I just checked all 3 of my accounts were dropped to 3.70% making actually making them the LOWEST interest bearing account online, they lie and deceit. Worst of all you can't actually get your money out, in July they (again with no warning) limited daily transactions to 10k and monthly on 30k. I actually had to sell stocks to pay my property because I literally COULD NOT GET MY MONEY FROM THIS BANK! Stop reading now and AVOID THIS WEBSITE AND THIS BANK AT ALL COST.
Terrible - bait and switch interest rates
This company offers great initial Performance Savings interest rates. While I acknowledge the notice that it is a variable rate, I have 2 other High Yield Savings accounts elsewhere that did not lower the rate like Everbank did (and without any notice). Everbank lowered my rate by .60%, but still offers new accounts my original rate. When I called asking for the higher advertised rate, they told me they could not give it to me, it is only for new accounts. Their website and mobile app are awful as well. I immediately transferred my money out and will not do business with a bait and switch bank like this.
Incompetent and troublesome application process.
I applied for a high interest savings account, a process that has always been simple with other institutions. I received word from them that there was a discrepancy of some kind that I needed to resolve with the bank that would be originating the funds. I have never had this happen before, and have opened accounts with many different banks. I decided to withdraw my application and apply instead to another bank (which subsequently had no problem with my application). Since that time, I have informed Everbank no less than three times (and maybe four) that I was withdrawing my application as I refused to jump through hoops for them. As weeks went by, they continued to send me emails, left a voicemail message, etc. I finally heard from one person that they had finally cancelled the application. On the same day, I received another message that they had "received additional documentation" and were "reviewing my application." I would run away from this company, as it appears their system is chaotic, and the left hand and right hand do not communicate. Although the "date" of the most recent experience is written as 9/5, the situation actually began in early August.
Fraudulent transactions on both of our…
Fraudulent transactions on both of our debit cards, even though we've never used them anywhere. Asked for plain ATM card, told it wasn't an option.
My card was already locked to be safe after my spouse had the issue with her card that doesn't even leave the house. They still called me asking if it was me, what is the point of locking the card, then?
Website is also lackluster, especially for an online bank
They Don't want my money
Bad experience trying to just open a savings account. I thought this would be an easy process. Called everbank and they took our application over the phone. Seemed strange but they need my wife to send a photo of her social, We did that right away to the email they said. Then called back a week later and they said they didn't get it. Ok forwarded again to supposed correct email and nothing. Next I called again and they gave me the original email to send again. Finally called back and yah that got my email. Of course now they said it was being flagged for my wifes name being reversed by agent entering. How someone can reverse "Lisa" and a 10 digit last name is beyond me but to have several extra calls and no one noticed? So next they said after almost a month that I would have to resubmit my app due to this. No thanks!
Terrible mortgage servicing experience
I've recently had problems with the mortgage servicing experience at Everbank. The company seems to take a hands-off approach with their mortgage servicer, so when there are processing errors, Everbank does not seem to show any interest in providing customer service to get the problems fixed. Seems more interested in foreclosing on homes than customer service, even when the customer has been making payments as agreed and the relationship has been long term. I definitely wish I would have chosen a different mortgage company, as even the original broker has changed bank affiliations. I wish I had done more due diligence on the bank and the mortgage servicer before I took out the mortgage, so that I had been better informed about what to expect and could have gone elsewhere.
I opened an account online,; my bad.
I opened an account online. I was instructed to mail a check to them. Nowhere in the emails I received was there an account number assigned to me. I did his instructed and mailed the check to EverBank for deposit only. I was aware I did not have an account number I wrote a detailed note about how I hit a new account an account number was not provided here's my name my other identifiers and please email me when you receive this check. After 5 days I had got no email so I called the bank and encountered a somewhat rude in very condescending customer service person who told me that I should have called the bank to get my account number, although my understanding is banks will never give out an account number to someone on the phone. She said that when they received my check in the mail if there was no account number on it they would put it back in the mail and send it to me. She further explained there was no way for the person opening the mail to either text me or send me an email. However my instructions from the bank said that I would receive an email when they receive the check. By the time I was finished with her I was determined to go have another check issued when I received mine back and deposited another bank. They may pay in a higher rate of interest but I could never count on them for any customer service.
No Reason for Declined Application
I tried three times this morning to open a HYSA with EverBank. Each time my application was declined and no reason was given. A call to their customer service number (spoke with Kaline) provided no reason, only a suggestion to try again (the third time).
This seems to me to be extremely poor service. Why did they decline my (completely and correctly entered) online application? (BTW, I have other online banking accounts.)
Watch Out - Limit on transfer $ out
Watch Out! The limit on ACH (non-wire ) transfer out to another bank is very very limited - 10K each day and starting July 2025, only 30K per month!
They offer new accounts 4.30 % but…
They offer new accounts 4.30 % but knock down older account to 3.9 . Terrible customer service . They told me close my account and open a new one
They limit how much of your money you can get out
I have just been notified that Everbank is instituting a policy of limiting external transfers to $30,000 a month, no more that $10,000 in a single day. It seems like a pretty basic principle of banking that you should be able to get your own money out when you need it.
Everbank Has Gone Shady. Get Out Now!
A year ago, I invested a chunk of money to Performance Savings Account at Everbank. I have done business with them for years, but now I am closing my account. I got a notice that I can only pull out $10,000 a day through an external transfer, soon to be a limit of $30,000 a month. I called and that is what they told me. I store money here for large purchases, like a car or home renovation, or a plumbing bill, always large. I gave them MY money last year, with assurances that I have access to it. Now it will take me a week to clear out this account, with daily transfers, limited to $10,000. Other online banks have MUCH higher transfer limits. Oh, I can transfer all I want by wire, for $25. Thanks, Everbank, once a reputable company, for joining the ranks of nickel and dimers, for the purpose of withholding the consumer's hard earned money.
Holds Your Money Hostage With Withdrawal Limits
Everbank came out with a new policy limiting external transfers out of your accounts using their External Transfer service to $10,000 daily with a maximum of $30,000 monthly. This behavior should be illegal. No one should do business here and anyone who has an account should close it immediately.
Withdrawal Limits
on May 29, 2025, they emailed me saying they are temporarily limiting External withdrawals to $10,000.00 per day and $30,000.00 per month. I don't feel comfortable keeping my money somewhere that imposes those types of limits. I should be able to withdraw my entire balance in one day if I need to.
Mistreat long term customers
I opened a savings acct last year at 4.3% and then suddenly it dropped to 4.0% without warning, but they still offer 4.3% to others. Called on it and was told they dropped it for old customers but keep it higher for new ones! Horrible way to treat long term customers.
Everbank: great rates, but… …
I like Everbank for their rates, App design, promotions, but Everbank is not 100% compatible with my Quicken for Mac App personal financial software. Have been using Quicken for over 25 years and most banks accept Quicken account setup security platform, but not Everbank. Every morning when I access Quicken I am stopped by Everbank until they can send me a text code (no other bank I use does this). Quicken is very secure and only downloads account info, so until Everbank changes I will be staying with NFCU and USAA for majority of my banking needs.
