I had signed up in June 2024

I had signed up in June 2024. I signed up for personal training services with my membership. A week prior my signing up. I was talked into upgrading my personal training services not knowing I was paying $43 every two weeks and another $60 every two weeks. . I asked Johnny he was my initial point of contact when I joined, who no longer works for them after a few weeks, told me it was just $60 every two weeks. The $43 was dropped. First day of assessment with a trainer, injured my knee. i was in a terrible pain. Had to freeze my account and my husband had passed away in July. Long story short, I unfreeze my account, had 5 or 6 sessions, still in pain. Went to my orthopedic told me I had meniscus tears and bad arthritis on my knees. No longer can work out says my physical therapist. I have 1 payment left to my 6 months obligations because they were continuing to take payments from me, I asked to apply my 5 payments if $60 to my obligations, the manager Jose said he doesn’t know what Johnny, the one that no longer works there, signed me up for? I just want them to stop my membership immediately, and they can’t seem to help me. Numerous emails and no response. So disappointed I signed up here in the first place. They want their commissions on this personal training services that it feels like they are cramming it down our throats. They don’t care about the customer needs and they misrepresenting the contracts as long as you signed.

They will tell you anything to sell you…

They will tell you anything to sell you their personal training program and once you sign on, it's difficult to get a training session and they will cancel with no notice. They will also never let you cancel before the end of the contract even when you complain many times about the lack of customer satisfaction. Their management are not very helpful and actually very malicious.

This gym offers a wide variety of equipment and has knowledgeable representatives available to assist. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for Jade, who was exceptionally professional and helpful. She guided us through the sign-in process with a warm smile and a friendly "good morning," creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel confident we had chosen the right facility.

Sharp practices

When I was on holiday in Orlando. I joined the gym on a seven day pass. I explained I was there for one week and would be returning to the UK. I signed the forms as they said they had to take an initial payment. I did not expect that payments would continue after I had left. I recognise the sales technique things were And in fact I have signed however I cannot go to the gym as the country therefore I would expect this to be cancelled immediately.

Worst Gym Possible

A very long story, short- I had to fight with EOS and their billing company for months to cancel my membership and to pay off their personal training. I would not recommend this gym to anyone, even though their price is good. Their billing company and the gym themself are awful, it’s been months (literally since around September 2024) and my ONE issue with them is still not resolved.

A tile has been missing

A tile has been missing, over a toilet in the women's restroom for over a month. I have ask that the tile be replaced four to five time -- I have even suggested that if they provided me with a ladder, I could move the tile and insulation into its correct position.

Additionally, in the handicapped restroom door the hanger is missing. A cheap replacement was put up - but only lasted a week.

The gym of spending a fortune reconfiguring various rooms yet they are neglecting some serious issues that would not take much money to fix.

I was hoping to post pictures of same -- but I guess that isn't possible on this site.

Avoid this gym (scam) at all costs

Avoid this gym (scam) at all costs. We recently spent an extended stay in Las Vegas and joined so we could maintain our workout routine. At the time of joining, we asked about how to cancel. We were clear that we were only looking for a limited-time membership. There are no EOS Fitness locations where we live (thank goodness). We were assured we could simply cancel. The option we were given was to send a certified letter with our request to cancel (Really? Can they make it as difficult as possible?). Still, we complied. After our stay in Vegas was done, we sent the certified letter as instructed. The letter was returned as undeliverable. We sent a second letter using the address found on the FAQs of their website. Still, we continue to be charged. We'll filed disputes with our card and also with the Better Business Bureau. Avoid these scammers at all costs.

Be wary of Personal Training, it's their money maker

The gym itself is "okay." Edges out Planet Fitness simply because they don't have stupid rules about where you can have your gym bag and how much sound you can emit while lifting something heavy (what are we, five?)
However, I was drawn to leave this review because what they bill as an "extra" that I'm actually paying extra for, a monthly body scan, is in reality their excuse to hold you hostage while they try to sell you on their "personal training." Their sessions are very overpriced compared to other gyms (Mountainside has 15 sessions for $375; EOS wants $300/month for one session per week (=4 sessions)). I was just reading some of the other negative reviews, and it sounds like everything I was told verbally (while being held hostage for almost 2 hours just trying to get my "free" body scan) are issues that others have found not to be factual. So yes, they do apparently lie. I did NOT sign up for the PT and now certainly won't be after reading so many other nightmare experiences. Just be VERY aware and do your homework before agreeing to sign up for any personal training, and remember that BY LAW you are ENTITLED to a written copy of the contract. I've seen that in recent years gyms love to have you sign on a screen so you can't read before signing. Don't do it! EOS, I bill at $395/hr, so stealing 2 hours of my time is NOT a FREE body scan! If this harassment continues every time I request the monthly scan to which my contact states I'm entitled, I'll be filing a formal complaint.

I have 3 memberships with EOS for almost 3 years. They are all paid on the same credit card. For the last 4 months EOS has only billed 2 of the 3. The sent the 3rd into collections. My credit card says nothing has never been declined on my account to them. They have canceled the 3rd membership and want to charge us double to reinstate the account.

Cold air too much wind

Peak hour overload, the same with all. But if you want to know pain, exercise and build a sweat with cold air blowing on you. They keep temp down - great, but they have huge ceiling fans that forcibly blows cold air on you - leaving you aching after a workout.

The gym is rarely cleaned and thuggish…

The gym is rarely cleaned and thuggish clientele will hold equipment they're not currently using. Other than that, I had no complaints until they stopped being open 24hrs. I was not on contract. I had to change my payment info and it was impossible to do online due to their convoluted third party payment system. I went in person to change my payment info. I was informed the payment was due yesterday and I'd have to pay additional $15 on top of the $28. That's over 50% late fee on a payment that's not even 24hrs late. Not to mention I'M NOT ON A CONTRACT. How's there a late fee on a payment I had no obligation to make? So, I asked to cancel my membership and I was informed they could not do that. I would have to call a number to cancel my membership. That call was routed to somewhere in India where the representative was barely comprehensible. It took 20mins to finally cancel my membership. They sent me a confirmation then a bill charging my over $100. So it went from $43 at the gym to pay to over $100 after I cancelled. I talked to Chris at the gym where he said he'd wave the fees if I'd just pay for one more months dues. Even though it's not right to ask me to pay for time I'm not using, I agreed. Took time out of my day to go in and fulfill my part of the agreement and paid the $28. Chris then reneged on our agreement and everyday since then he has been trying to steal another $68 from my account by attempting to charge my debit which I had to turn off and now have to replace. It took me all of ten minutes to find a better and reputable gym nearby.

This Gym is a scam DO NOT LEAVE A CR CARD NUMBER

This Gym is a scam. I was using BCBS Silver sneakers program. Manager Erick Santiago told me a credit card on file was required to Join. He lied about everything. I recently had hip surgery and did not need a PT. I made several attempts to get with Erick but they have moved him to another gym. I am only getting the run around. I have no choice but to seek help from a news station.

EOS and their fraudulent sales tactics

Eos fitness is such a fraudulent establishment. Do not go to this gym! The moment you try signing up for their gym you have immediately become a target and at the mercy of the general who WILL lie to you and make you sign a contract that you cannot get out of. No matter what you do or say you will end up signing a contract with fine print that you cannot decipher that will end up costing you over $2,000 and all you really wanted was to use the facilities. You didn’t want personal training but they forced you to sign up for it anyways and they purposely don’t tell you the cost. They’ll tell you it’s $19 for 4 sessions, leaving out the part where you’re going to be charged for 4 months of sessions whether you want it or not. I had to close my checking account in order to stop the charges from being taken out of my account.

Be cautious of your pocket while doing business with this company

The manager at this location is the worst I’ve encountered. He lacks any sense of customer relations and is, frankly, dishonest. As someone in the customer service business myself, I understand the importance of going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this location does not seem to share that philosophy. I strongly advise others to carefully review their bills, as I’ve found their practices questionable.

We were previously with Mountainside Fitness, and their customer service and billing practices are a thousand times better than what EōS offers. They are not rip-offs like EōS has proven to be.

Do not sign up for personal trainer and avoid Tustin Branch

I had an awful experience with Tustin branch in Orange County due to their unprofessionalism and deceptive practices. I signed up for personal training, and the manager failed to inform me of the contract terms, which is a clear violation of transparency and business ethics. After reviewing the contract on my own, I discovered terms I wasn't aware of. Within three business days, I returned to cancel the membership, but the manager was unavailable. I spoke with a staff member at the front desk, who assured me that they had noted it in my account and that I would receive a refund of $280.

Despite this, they continued to charge me $280 biweekly. As of today, September 7th, nearly two months after I signed up, the issue remains unresolved. I have spoken with staff multiple times, yet the charges keep coming, which feels like outright fraud and deception.

Additionally, the gym’s cleanliness is unacceptable. The restrooms are consistently dirty, and the showers are filthy. It's so bad that you might prefer avoiding the facilities altogether.

If you’re considering this gym, I highly recommend going to the Fullerton branch instead—it’s much cleaner and better managed.

EOS condones bullying and harassment without consequence

Myself and many other gym members were harassed by another member over a long period of time, where formal complaints were filed and the member was allowed to continue being a nuisance to other members. Formal complaints for this member resulted in multiple letters to threaten termination without revocation. There are documented occurrences that I specifically know of on 8/25/23, 10/7/23, and ultimately a final event that was directly pointed at me on 2/20/24. During this last instance I was alone in the group fitness room and this member was getting in my face over where I set my water bottle. I tried to ignore it given it was a water bottle but the continued instigation led me to tell her to stop acting like a petty b-word. In the eyes of EOS this single statement was enough for them to apply a lifetime ban to my membership. Had they been so vigilant when the other member in any of the other occurrences this situation would have never happened. I’m a good person who let my frustration get the best of me. I’ve admitted my wrong in the situation and have formally appealed but there has been no response from EOS. In addition, the week of 3/5/24 multiple other members and EOS instructors have sent letters on my behalf as the retaliation being leveraged against me is unjust. I would like to understand why EOS allowed bullying and harassment to take place over the course of months while executing a standard disciplinary path for one member and even though that member was the instigator I was punished with maximum severity, having had no prior issues with the gym until that point. Stay far away from EOS as they condone bullying and harassment amongst members without consequence.

Terrible Personal Trainer Program

The gym itself is not too bad. I signed up for their personal trainer program, and my trainer is always late and would cancel my session without telling me a few hours before our sessions start. I didn't get the signup bonus they promised. The trainer rarely responds to my text, zero communication. Avoid using their services.

Personal Training Problems and NO Customer Service

Signed my daughter up for personal training took me calling several times and over three weeks to get her assigned to a trainer but they had no problem charging us for sessions we couldn’t use. She was then in a serious car accident, was in ICU, and was unable to work out for a few months was told contact was put on hold but they continued to charge. They even continued to charge after contact ended even though sessions were not completed from initial contract. Due to the fact her dad condition was much more serious it took me a while to get around to contacting them and canceling contact. Even after I cancelled still charged. So contacted them and eventually disputed after no response. Then they were threatening us because I did what I said I would do. We paid over $5,600 and they couldn’t even tell me accurately how many sessions she had available. They only cared to tell me it is what the contact said. Well the contact said she had 12 months to use sessions but apparently she had sessions expire. Now because I disputed the charge after the contract they are saying we can’t get them back. It has been a nightmare.

Bottom line go somewhere else they don’t deserve your hard earned money. They don’t respect it and don’t have any customer service.

The gym is a scam

The gym is a scam, they told you can start and tried the gym for a month without contract you just need to sign some paper for liability. Instead they give to you contract to sign and they don’t let you cancelled without a lot of money of penalties. They do on purpose I will say is a frode.

You Won't Be Welcome If You Have A Disability

The staff only care about selling you a membership. I canceled my membership after my first day as a member at the gym. The staff would rather hang out with fellow employees or be on their phones than to help you.
I am disabled and I found it very difficult to try and get help when I came in andvthey told me to download the app to sign in. When I told them I was struggling to get the app, they told me I could sit on the couch while I worked on it. I'm 50 so I know some tech stuff but they could have at least offered to come around and show me what to do. I appreciate the couch so I didn't have to lean on my walker the whole time but I'm sure it took me so much longer to get the app and login versus one of the three staff members at the desk helping me and not just standing there talking to one another and ignoring me.
I saw an assistant manager in an office and went in to speak with him aboutbthe situation at the desk and he couldn't be bothered to stop texting on his phone.
The other issue is that because of my disability, I was signing up solely because of the indoor pool. I was told during my tour before I joined that it was a heated pool. The day I went in as a "member", I got in the pool to find out it was either not a heated pool or the water heater was not working. It was very cool water.
The members of the staff were so dismissive of me. I'm sure they don't care about one person canceling their membership after one day because they already charged me the annual fee. And if you have an issue with this company, you can't tmreach out to their corporate website.
There are many fitness gyms in the Coral Springs, FL area. I suggest you go to a place that appreciates their members and treat them as humans. Especially if you have a disability, I would definitely advise you go somewhere else.
