I got a 14" Apollo in late 2019 and I'm very happy with it.

I was previously using a Dell XPS13 from 2017 and I like the Apollo **a lot** more.
It doesn't get crazy hot like the XPS routinely does, and it is as fast as I expected it to be given its specs.

Thinking hard to find downsides: it's a bit less pretty, and the touchpad is not as nice.

After around 15 years of being a Mac-only person, I decided to make the switch to Linux following playing around with Ubuntu 18.04 on an old Mac Mini. As I wanted a new laptop that ran Ubuntu 20.04 out of the box - and I was getting a little tired of Mac prices and the closed ecosystem anyway - I ordered an Apollo from Entroware as I had found lots of great reviews of both their machines and the company itself on various websites.

The Apollo is a really solid, fantastic bit of kit, with a beautiful screen, amazing keyboard, and is really well specced for the price. Delivery was superfast - I needed it pretty urgently for work so having the laptop arrive less than 48 hours after putting in the order was hugely helpful.

I'm 100% sold on Linux, and 100% impressed by Entroware. I'll definitely be buying my future machines from them.

TL;DR - if you are looking for an Ubuntu Linux powered laptop with sensible customisation options and great post-purchase support, Entroware is worth serious consideration.

I bought the 14" Apollo laptop pre-loaded with Ubuntu LTS 18.04 in December 2019, have used it daily for six months so far, and I'm seriously impressed.

Firstly, the customisation options on ordering were very welcome; with it still being relatively rare finding laptop manufacturers that support Linux, often with other manufacturers I would be lucky to find a single option with entry-level components, whereas with Entroware I was able to select exactly what I wanted for my workflow. This Linux-first approach across the whole product line is a welcome breath of fresh air after companies that build for Windows and do one model with Linux on the side.

In the time I've had it so far, the laptop has performed exceptionally well; while the Clevo hardware may not look quite as snazzy as a MacBook Pro, it's a lot faster and has given me absolutely no functional problems (making me all the happier to have left the locked-in Apple ecosystem for good!).

Finally - one of the most critical points for me - the post-purchase support has been exceptional. Questions regarding compatibility with external devices (while in the process of choosing an external monitor for lockdown working-from-home) were answered quickly and in detail, and follow-ups were no different. I feel confident that Entroware do care that their customers have a good experience with their products, and on top of the previous points, I will likely be going back to them for my next hardware purchase!

After failing to get my order completed with another linux focused Clevo reseller (due to covid-19, not their fault at all) I ended up going with Entroware. The only reason I didn't go with them first is because there wasn't too much in terms of reviews/online presence etc but after seeing the previous reviews here I gave them a shot and I am delighted I did!!

The machine itself is fantastic, works like a dream and no issues whatsoever. All that needs to be said about that!

I checked in with Entroware prior to delivery to see if there would be any delays, they were prompt and accurate with their reply. The first software issue I did have (which was purely from me changing linux distro) I asked them first and they got back straight away and gave me a solution - which was to my surprise a special Entroware app that automatically installs the drivers on an Ubuntu or Ubuntu based system. Very nice additional feature!

Final note: an added extra surprise bonus was... there is no windows key!! In place of the regular Windows logo there is an Entroware key which was a delightful surprise, and adds a unique touch where it counts the most. Apart from that the machine is totally clean of branding and very classy.

A++ will surely check in with Entroware first for my next Linux machine.

I chose the Proteus 15", with i7-10th gen CPU, 16GB RAM and the fastest SSD 500GB, it looked good from the pics on the website but to my surprise on opening the package, I looked upon a beautiful machine, exquisitely elegant. From the screen to the keyboard, I could not wish for better.
Not being hardware savvy I contacted support a couple of times, the reply was a matter of an hour or two max, the replies were agreeable, precise and most helpful.

Very happy with my 17" Hybris. I normally use a secondary screen, so I would buy a smaller notebook next time. I've recently had a couple of issues with speed of notebook (I place a lot more demand on it now than I intended to when I bought it) and with the secondary screen. The support provided by Entroware was really good for both of these issues - they new exactly how to diagnose problems and advised on which memory to buy (from a third party) to speed my system up.

It's great that a company is putting resources into ongoing customer support.

Got my new Proteus really pleased. First time I've had a properly built Linux laptop (usually I've just put it on an old machine I had laying around).

Really nice, especially the screen - already had compliments from clients!

I bought a laptop from Entroware about 4 years ago.
Unfortunately the disc drive stopped working so I contacted them to see if I could buy a new one to fit myself.
They were swift in their reply and have offered to send me a new one free of charge, a choice of replacement part or separate portable disc drive.
Their customer service is exceptional and has gone way beyond my expectations.

I have never come across a company that value their customers so much. The laptop is a beast and completely customisable unlike many of the OEMs out there. Customer service is outstanding and I always get a prompt response for any query. I highly recommend Entroware to everyone including power users who want freedom of hardware and software. They build the hardware and the rest is all up to the customers. Well done Entroware!!

Entroware provide great Linux laptops, and great customer service. I've got two different models of their laptops - one at home (Entroware Apollo) and one at the office (Entroware Orion). I've also encouraged other developers within the team at work to make the switch away from windows/mac.

Recently encountered an issue with my work laptop where one of the keys broke off. Entroware's customer service was excellent, and after requesting some more information they quickly dispatched me a whole new keyboard along with instructions on how to fit it.

I'd recommend Entroware to anyone looking for a Linux laptop. Keep up the great work!

Some issues early on were resolved really well in the end. So a big thank you to Entroware, who went above and beyond to put things right. If you need a Linux PC then look no further and buy with total confidence. Great Linux machines and even better customer service.

I was looking for a new laptop and I was very lucky finding Apollo from Entroware.com. All is great starting with design ... number of ports, CPU (I took the i7), hardisk, screen, keyboard ... and pre-installed Ubuntu (I took MATE option to try it). Just a dream !

I've had a new Entroware Apollo for a week now (Core i7 8565U, 32GB DDR4 2400MHz, 500GB PCIe SSD). Build quality is excellent. Delivery was very prompt. I've removed Ubuntu 18.04 and installed Arch and everything just works as it should. Highly recommended Linux laptop.

Entroware are the best PC supplier I have used in my 40+ years in IT. Their commitment to customers is excellent and they are more than happy to spend time helping with questions and problems on kit that is well out of warranty. If you need a Linux PC or Laptop I cannot recommend them highly enough. i just wish there was a supplier that got anywhere close to them in the Windows world.

I bought a laptop and it worked out of the box - that seldom happens with Linux on laptops. The hardware build is good and solid. The display is crystal clear and the keyboard has a nice solid feel to it. Battery life is good around 5-6 hours (predicted by Linux Power Manager). I've had this for a week now and I already wonder how I would manage without it.

Laptop worked fine with some minor issues, which I lived with for a couple of years. Then the keyboard broke and I got in touch with a third‐party repairman as well as Entroware's support. The third‐party repairman had trouble because of the non‐standard keyboard and their own support were very evasive when I asked about repairing the laptop. They informed me that my laptop of two years old contained parts that were no longer available and they couldn't guarantee they'd have the parts in stock if I returned the laptop to them. After numerous back‐and‐forth emails where I asked plainly if they had the relevant parts in stock if I were to return it to them, they eventually admitted they probably wouldn't be able to repair it. Leaving me with the prospect of a delivery charge and a still‐broken laptop. They offered to dispose of the laptop free of charge should the repair not be possible. THANKS!

I'm now having to purchase a spare keyboard off a Chinese web site which doesn't come with a palm‐rest, which they informed me was needed to install the keyboard.

Oh and the case took some damage which left marks over other parts of the case and they refused to accept that it was from general wear and tear because nobody had mentioned it to them before.

Laptop served me well but I'm faced with the prospect of it being useless.

My laptop wouldn't boot up properly - it defaulted to an unfamiliar command prompt. I contacted Entroware through the online form and they replied early the next morning. After exchanging a few emails, the problem was solved. Quick, efficient, no-nonsense.

A great company to go to for UK Linux machines, I purchased a Kratos in September 2018 and the support provided has been amazing, I installed a non-supported distro, yet they provided excellent support when I needed it anyway.

My model had a sticker on the Windows key originally and I noticed they started providing a custom Entroware key with their laptops, I requested the specific key, however, they sent an entirely new keyboard with next day delivery, entirely free of charge!

Build quality of my new Aether laptop is excellent, and delivery took five days from placing my order. Even better, Entroware treat you like an adult which is so refreshing. The warranty does not prevent you from making modifications; they even give useful guidance on how to open the case to add drives or memory.
Very happy customer, I would recommend Entroware for Linux based machines.
