You Have Nothing to Lose but Your Myopia

My optician said ‘there are no studies that prove reduced lens therapy works’ but who needs science studies, when there are 1000’s of people posting their improvements (optometrist confirmed). Before I found EndMyopia, my own vision was at -3.75 and -3.25 and had miraculously improved over several years to -3.25 and -3. When I Googled this phenomenon and found EndMyopia I realised I had been unknowingly following much of the program recommendations, so I knew it would work. I started the free program in June 2019 and progress has been much quicker, now I know what to do and follow all of the guidance carefully. I now wear -1.5s for my therapeutic pair - and keep a pair of - 2s for night time driving, so equivalent to a full optician prescription. If you’re short sighted join up, you have nothing to lose but your myopia!

This is a legit site

This is a legit site. Jake delivers. Starting at -6.25 I'm now wearing my -3.5 glasses more and more. I can see 20/20 most of the time with my -4.25 glasses now. Who would have thunk? Well, tbh, while I was not always skeptical of the mainstream science on the eye, I have been so for a decade now. So when I signed up for this, I was hopefully skeptical.

It's the best out there.

It's the best out there.
The real cause of myopia is ciliary spasm and Jake teaches you how to get rid of that and how to actively improve your vision using AF (active focus) because getting rid of the spasm doesn't improve your vision.

I reduced my correction by 80% in less than one year!

I was very sceptical when I first saw End Myopia, but after reading through all the science on the website it seemed to make sense so I gave it a try.

Using the End Myopia method I was able to reduce my correction by 80% in less than one year. I also have eliminated my astigmatism correction.

The freedom to wake up and not need glasses to walk around the house and now not even need them to drive is an amazing feeling!

At 40 years old this is not something I expected would be possible, but I am now confident that by next year I will never need glasses again.

Although I can't seem to reach Active…

Although I can't seem to reach Active focus (the main principal of Endmyopia) my eyesight has improved significantly over the last 2 years by following to the best of my ability all the advice given on the website and the videos i have watched from those involved with Endmyopia. I have no doubt that over the next few years many people who have worn glasses will find no need to use them again.

Only place that talks with science to show how Myopia can be ended naturally.

Endmyopia is the only place that has convinced me with science and logics that not only says but have also proven by many people's success results that myopia can be reversed. I am very glad i started this journey and happy to learn that i can take control of my own eyes in my own hands now, rather than leaving it in the hands of people for whom its just one of the case. I am so thankful to Jake and Endmyopia for spreading this to people.

I stumbled across (quite literally) End…

I stumbled across (quite literally) End Myopia over 18 months ago and consumed as much of Jake's videos and articles as I could. I wasted no time in ordering reduced prescription for unclose (differentials) and faraway activities (normalised) and I've reduced my diopters from -3.50 and -3.25 to -2.25 and -2.00 and if I'm honest I've not been overly diligent and know I could have seen bigger improvements within this time. However I should warn you that this method is not a quick fix. It requires small, but consistent changes in habits and practice at focusing (to learn and understand your vision and what effects it). lighting, outdoors, distance, sleep, diet, stress. All of these in my experience effect the quality of my vision and I know now my vision does fluctuate. So if you want to improve your vision (and lifestyle) for the better I heartily recommend End Myopia.

Differentials made me not hate new glasses. (Update: minor progress over first year)

Just the advice to wear differentials is huge for me in improving my comfort levels and it the most supported by science idea in the program. Don't know how well the improvement methods will work yet. There is still a lot of gaps in the scientific knowledge of what they're doing.

Update, after a year on the program, my vertex distance corrected prescription went down 0.75 Diopters. This level of improvement could just be ciliary spasm or choroidal tissue getting thicker, but it is very rare for me to go to the doc and not be told my eyes are getting worse.

Pseudoscientific bogus

I’ve been doing this EndMyopia thing (which is really just reduced-lens therapy) for a little over a year, and it’s been kind of disappointing. Here’s a blow-by-blow:

I started off with -2.5 in each eye in March of 2019. I got that prescription in the winter, so this was as summer rolled around, which makes it a lot easier to better your vision. I got my vision down to -2 in a few months. What happened next? Nothing. Literally nothing.

Well, almost: “active focus” does technically improve your vision, but it doesn’t improve your prescription. Basically I can read the 20/25 line of an eye chart on a good day, BUT it’s not like the world is in 20/25; I have to really focus on that line, and the rest of the world is blurry (for me, about 20/60). It’s definitely nowhere near the level of being able to throw away your glasses.

I do have to give Jake (Mr. EndMyopia) some credit, though: his diagnosis of the causes of modern myopia are right, his solution is just wrong. He presents research, but if you actually read it, it’s kind of a patchwork of studies. None of them directly point to him being right. His studies also rely on animals, which, as it turns out, have a focusing mechanism that allows for this kind of treatment, whereas humans do not. What he doesn’t show you (that I’ve found, at least) is any LONG-TERM study of reduced-lens therapy. They do exist, though, and they show that the additional eye strain resulting from it actually WORSENS myopia! (Here’s the study: Chung K, Mohidin N, O'Leary DJ. Undercorrection of myopia enhances rather than inhibits myopia progression. Vision Res. 2002;42:2555–2559.). Trying to fix your myopia naturally is akin to trying to shorten your height naturally (in most cases, as I’ll explain later).

So how are all of these other reviewers getting great results? In much the same way I can read 20/25 without glasses. Their eyes have to work a lot to get those results, and when they are just passively looking through the lens, their world is still blurry. Each step down a prescription is a little sacrifice in clarity, and you don’t notice them individually, but they add up. For example, I thought I had -1 vision, and could read 20/20, but it was in the scenario described above. That’s how the vast majority of EndMyopia users’ experience is, but there is another possibility. Myopia is predominately caused either ONLY by the temporal focusing muscle in the eye locking up or by, as EndMyopia explains, that muscle locking up and causing the eyeball to lengthen. The latter is not reversible, but the former is. I’m only guessing here, but I’m fairly certain people like Jake have the former. Unfortunately for you, the reversible kind is extremely rare, but the irreversible kind is the type most people have.

So, unless you have gotten your axial length measured and are sure you have reversible myopia, stay away! Methods like this will not get you back to perfect vision or eliminate your prescription!

Reply from Endmyopia

1. The undercorrection study has been very throughly debunked (seriously poor study design, and Chung is infamous for pushing his agenda). 2. Unfortunate that you didn't get more gains. I have a whole troubleshooting video playlist on Youtube. Unless you're philosophically enamored by being right more than getting to 20/20, I'd recommend checking that out. It's usually a fairly straightforward fix. 3. The biology explanation in the review, inaccurate. Ciliary muscle doesn't cause axial change. Focal plane stimulus does, and only focal plane stimulus. 4. We have thousands of reversed myopia cases, first hand documented, many optometrist confirmed. 5. Skepticism of Internet claims for these things, always warranted. Do your own research, come to your own conclusions.

This Could Change Everything For So Many People

I am on the third month of my Endmyopia journey, and it's been an amazing experience so far! It's completely science-based, no frills, easy-to-follow guided steps that will make you think twice about how we are supposed to think about our eyes. I have already seen improvements in my clarity of vision based on simple habit changes; and I'm excited for when I'll be able to start reducing my prescription. I suggest people peruse and thoroughly take in everything on this site and do a bit of homework first. Start with the 7-day email guide or the "Start Here: Improve Your Eyesight" Endmyopia YouTube video by Jake. I can honestly say that the only reason I think this program is working for me and makes sense is because I took my time in learning the basic mechanics of my eyesight (all found on the website) and understanding the habits that were contributing to my myopia. Don't try to rush this; it's a marathon, not a sprint. But I cannot say enough good things about this website, this program, and the Endmyopia community!

A Real Eye-Saver!

EndMyopia offers a solution to a problem that you may have been told is unsolvable. The EndMyopia method to reverse myopia is so do-able, and Jake Steiner makes all the information you need available, and has built up wonderful community spaces where people can discuss and explore their thoughts and challenges along the way. The paid course, or the paid access to extra content, is excellent, but not required, so no one has to miss out. EndMyopia is so transparent, not shrouded in mystery but supported by science. And what's more, it works!
