Bought white paint for capping stones on a wall near the road for my house where the old paint kept peeling off due to trapped moisture. stripped old paint and used emperor. too soon to see if it lasts longer than the old paint.
However any bird pooh on the paint leaves nearly a hole in the paint down to the wall. it totally dissolves the paint. Disappointed that it has so little resistance compared to the paint that was on the wall. Yes bird pooh is bad for paint but for this emperor paint it attacks it.
So dont recommend it on flat wall surfaces. Maybe only good for vertical walls. This should be pointed out on the web site.

Order arrived next day and was well packaged to avoid any damage. I have started to apply the Textured Basecoat and so far so good. I will need to place a follow-up order to complete the whole house project which is 100% rendered and I am confident I made the right choice of products having first ordered samples to test and confirm best paint colour.

Really happy with the quality of the masonry paint. Easy to apply and gives a great finish. My only suggestion would be to sell the ancillary products in smaller quantities as I am left, as a DIYer, with large amounts of anti fungal and primer which will go to waste.

I’d like to think that over many years I’ve become somewhat of an expert DIYer! Recently moving into a timber clad 17th cottage with later rendered extensions I needed the best white paint I could buy to give the majority of the exterior a facelift. Emperor paint isn’t cheap, but like all things, you get what you pay for. On opening the tub you can immediately tell that this paint is in a class of its own. Its viscosity, texture and application were incredible. I’m just about to order black for a smaller part of the cottage. The self cleaning and 25 year guarantee was of great interest to me, as I don’t want to be repeating this job anytime soon. Time will tell how it actually performs, but I have every confidence in it. Pay an extra few £ and treat your project to the best paint on the market.

The paint seems to be very good. I prepared the surface (previously painted render) as directed on the Emperor website and applied the first coat at 10% dilution as suggested. I then applied the second coat undiluted. Coverage was excellent and it was easy to apply. The two coats have resulted in a very uniform finish. Some areas of the previous render had a fair amount of staining which have been completely covered. Obviously, I can't comment on durability at this early stage but I am hopeful that it will live up to it's claims.
Delivery was excellent. I ordered 20 litres of paint and 10 litres of cleaner on Friday afternoon and it was delivered on Saturday morning (without any express shipping charge).
