Poor customer service
Poor customer service. To log in the application all the time problem, I have to visit the branch almost every day. When I call them verification is all the time invalid and again I have to visit nearest branch inspite I enter details correctly. I had a fraud recently and whole bank couldn't assist to create for customer
good conditions while investigation is in progress. They don't care about customers always saying that they have policy and the act according to it. Looks like robots starting from managers and all staff when you try to build dialogue with them. Quite disappointed in their work and I don't recommend to people open accounts in this bank.
Extremely Disappointed with Emirates NBD Bank!
I am highly frustrated with the lack of action and poor customer service from ENBD Bank regarding fraudulent transactions on my credit card. On 28th December 2024, two unauthorized transactions of 354.39 AED and 2312.79 AED were made on my card without any OTP verification – a clear security failure by the bank.
I immediately reported the issue and was assured that the amount would be refunded within 60 days. Despite continuous follow-ups, only 354.30 AED was credited, while the remaining 2312.79 AED is still pending with no proper response or resolution from the bank.
To make things worse, the bank issued a credit card statement including the fraudulent amount and applied penalty charges when I couldn’t make the payment – even though the card was blocked by the bank itself! I tried making the payment through the ATM, but the transaction was unsuccessful.
I have been calling customer care again and again, but all I receive are generic responses with no solution. This whole experience has been extremely stressful, and I feel completely let down by ENBD.
How can a bank hold customers accountable for its own security lapses and poor service?
I am sharing my experience to warn others about how ENBD treats its customers. I hope they take responsibility and resolve my issue immediately!

My experience transferring money from the UAE to Denmark was nothing short of frustrating. I tried two different methods, but both turned out to be extremely costly and inefficient.
First attempt:
I started by loading my Global Cash Card with AED and then converting it into US dollars, which incurred the first exchange fee. My plan was to transfer the funds to my Revolut account or my Danish bank, but that turned out to be impossible.
So, I thought: “OK, I’ll just withdraw the money from my Global Cash Card into my USD account at Emirates NBD.” But that wasn’t possible either. The only option was to withdraw it into an AED account, meaning I had to pay another exchange fee to convert USD back to AED. I called them severalt times, and was told to contact MasterCard, who ensured me, that it was ENBD's responsibility.
To get the money to my Danish bank, I had to convert AED back into US dollars once again—resulting in a total of three exchange fees.
Second attempt:
I then tried making a bank transfer from my AED account to my USD account in a Danish bank. I paid an exchange fee (which was expected), but when the money reached the Danish bank, the transfer was rejected and sent back to Emirates NBD.
Upon receiving the funds back in Emirates NBD, I had to pay yet another exchange fee because they couldn’t deposit the money into my USD account. This meant I had now paid the exchange fee twice. Still determined to get my money into a Danish bank, I had to convert AED back into USD again and attempt another transfer—bringing the total number of exchange fees to six.
I called and wrote to them five times throughout the entire process, but there was nothing they could do. They were completely inflexible and unable to help in any way.
Next time, I’d rather fill a suitcase with US dollars and carry them to Denmark myself than use Emirates NBD.

Be careful guys. Lot of scams are happening only for this bank. i have other bank account also only this bank is getting hacked and loosing money. they are calling from bank itself and giving all our account information to us to trust them that means from bank or bank employees misusing the account holder details to hackers it seems.

FRAUDULENT TRANSACTION-ENBD
I am extremely disappointed with how my case (SR No: 220616909996) has been handled by Emirates NBD. Last Sunday, several unauthorized transactions were made on my credit card without any OTP request, and I had my physical card with me at all times. Despite raising a complaint immediately and contacting customer service, the case was closed without a proper explanation or resolution.
The transactions were concerning: AED 3500 was debited, a second attempt of AED 8000 was declined due to my credit limit, AED 3000 was debited, and another AED 2000 was declined. The absence of OTP and the fact that my card was with me points to a serious security issue.
After reporting the fraud, I was assured of an investigation. However, when I followed up, I was shocked to find that the case was closed, and I was expected to repay the full amount. The customer service response was unsatisfactory, with no clear explanation of how these transactions happened without my authorization.
It is clear that the responsibility lies with the bank, as proper security protocols were not followed. If the issue was on my end, I would expect clear proof, but I have not received any. I am still waiting for a positive resolution.
I urge Emirates NBD to reopen the case, investigate thoroughly, and provide a transparent resolution. Customers need to trust that their financial security is protected, and in this case, I feel let down.

Emirates NBD is taking money which lost by credit card fraud. This credit card is more insecure and unsafe. I lost AED 9800 from credit card on 8th June 2024 without losing card. I didn't share any otp or didn't click any link nothing. I have raised a complaint in bank and Dubai police. From the bank side they just washed their hands by closing the case without my consent. Now I'm repaying the money which was stolen by somebody due to lack of saftey from the bank side. I had a very tough time while having conversation with bank as they were not at all supporting and charging more interest on the money I lost. I have paid several installments and a lumpsum amount but still the amount to be paid is same. It was my biggest fault to open a bank account with Emirates NBD. Now they are calling me to repay the money and giving me settlement plans for the money stolen by someone else from my credit card with Emirates NBD. Whenever I call the customer service they will simply raise the ticket and telling that they can't do anything as they are outsourced employees. Even when I visited bank they have dialed and given customer service contact. Such an irresponsible bank I have ever seen. I don't have that much money to repay and they are charging more for late fee, limit exceeded charge and a lot of other charges. Already I am facing an injustice by losing money without any mistake from my side plus paying back the money stolen and also getting charged extra. It's like cheating customers and leaving them helpless by simply closing the case and informing to raise a complaint in police and to master card. It is really worst and painful experience that too with a famous bank in UAE.

I never used my debit card and never activated it but I have -886.25AED on my account. There WhatsApp chat is not helpful, even the landline, you can't talk to the live person as they are giving you a hard time to connect with them! I will file against this bank. See you in court!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
In my first transaction in Dubai with ENBD--- WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, I made an international transfer and was charged a 40% fee. During the transaction, it mentioned 0 fees and right after the transaction, I was charged 40% for it. When I reached the bank firstly, they wouldn't entertain it on call you can only chat and the answer was 'ENBD didn't charge instead the corresponding middle bank charged' which I had not been informed about before. DBS ( the receiving bank ) was super cooperative in giving me calling me from Singapore to Dubai to clarify their part. DBS is truly the most cooperative bank, unfortunately, can't say the same about ENBD, after persuading and explaining the situation multiple times they said they wouldn't refund it even though I was misled and I should have been asked about the exact charge before the transaction, not be scammy seriously. I have no faith in future transactions or scams I might face, due to this experience. The agents are also clearly assisting multiple people at once and don't care about your troubles, issues, or pain. HOW frustrating this is. I didn't expect this in Dubai.
