I got my number back in September

I got my number back in September. It says I paid then. Now, today, November 7,2025, they are charging me again. I also can’t find the first charge on my statements which means they waited 2 months to charge me and let me think they took the money in September. I called and immediately the guy had an attitude. I’m doing a charge back. You can’t do that to people and treat them that way. Especially in these times I needed the money out then and can’t afford it to have it charged now.

CROOKS

CROOKS. I thought this was a legit service. I filled out the app. Then I was sent to a page that asked for money, so I knew this was crap. I went back and erased everything, so hopefully, I'm okay. I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

Scammer

Got a text about an EIN from this company, but I already have one from the IRS for FREE. This scammer wants to charge for something that is free and uses a .org address to look legit. Hoping no one falls for this crap.

I received a text message from this…

I received a text message from this company after my llc application was approved. They knew the hour before I received the email. They tailored their text message, website and emails to appear as a government entity. They charge $150 to apply for the EIN. That is the point I knew it was fishy as I have already read the fees associated with llc/corps/ein etc. I went to google the irs direct website and found the free government filing. Einapplications.org ask the exact same questions to even more convince you they are the same as the irs filing. They prey on people by being the ambulance chaser of form filling. I was lucky to not be scammed but I can easily see how people would not know any better. And since then I have been spammed by them with my email and text.

I Almost got caught!!

I just got a text about my LLC being approved from this site. Didn’t dawn on me that this was not from the IRS. I filled out the application with my SSN and then hit submit and it asked for $150!!! I right away called my hubby. He said EIN is free so don’t pay anything. I hate that I gave them my soc#. But happy I didn’t fall into paying anything! WHAT CROOKS!

I had already obtained an EIN direct…

I had already obtained an EIN direct from the IRS, yet I got an unsolicited text from this company (not sure how they got my number) saying they would get me an EIN. Not only is this SPAM, but also there is no disclosure as to who they are or why they are contacting you. To me, that totals a SCAM.

BEWARE! Always file for an EIN DIRECTLY with the IRS

Very suspicious. Seems like a scam. Not even 24hrs after filing a new LLC I receive a text message from this "company" regarding setting up an EIN. Important thing, this must ALWAYS be done through the IRS directly. It is very easy, it is free AND SAFE. I am very curious regarding the methods/software/platform they're using to obtain my new companies data so quickly... Furthermore, there is NO actual entity (name of company inc. or LLC listed on their website (einapplications.org)). Why on Earth would I let a unvetted website have access to what essentially is a social security number! Additionally, a real company would have no issues making their actual entity name clear and present... We see none on the site. The virtual address listed isn't cutting it either. BTW, there is no "securing" an EIN - You file with the IRS, they issue one, end of story.

EIN is free from IRS

EIN is free from IRS, they fraudulently monitor state business applications and spam you with their link to register EIN. Search use the irs.gov link and don't pay these spammers.

Beware!

This site managed to get my mobile number - after I filed my LLC with the state of MA - and charged me for something that is free from the IRS. But I never got a receipt for the payment. Once I realized that EIN Applications wasn't associated with the IRS, I called to cancel, but they refused. When asked why they didn't sent a receipt, the gentleman said, "we do everything manually" - whatever that means.
