DOES NOT FILTER SEDIMENT!

DOES NOT FILTER SEDIMENT!

Today my home water started coming out of the taps with a light sandy coloured sediment, Turns out it’s due to emergency water works in the next street.

Filled my Earths Water 2.5l jug with water thinking it would filter out sediment like its marketing claims it does (isn’t that what a water filter is for???) but IT DOES NOT FILTER SEDIMENT!!

So, now I’m really concerned that it doesn’t filter anything it says it does and is no better than a cheap Brita! And it was hundreds of dollars plus the extra filters. I tried it with two brand new filters which I ran water through as per the manual, checked the seals (perfect), and yet the water still filtered into the bottom part of the jug absolutely filthy. So now I’m very concerned about my families health and the fact we’ve been drinking chemically laden/plastic filled water for 5 months. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

Can’t get customer service to reply to my emails. Very poor customer service. I want a full refund so I can buy a product that actually filters water!

Customer service was very slow

Edited to add: We did hear from Earths Water soon after posting this review and they have been great and are sending through a full refund - they said NZ customs had changed it's thresholds which was the reason for the unexpected customs fee. It's a shame that they took so long to respond and didn't have a direct way to contact them though as we had began to get very worried we'd been scammed out of a significant amount of money.

Original review: We’ve not had a great experience with Earths Water. They didn’t disclose that we’d need to pay a sizeable customs fee to get the under bench water filter when we purchased it - we’ve tried to contact them a few times via email and the message function on their website and have had no reply after a few weeks. They don’t have a phone number to contact them on which is frustrating. The filter water drink bottle that we have received from them (didn't go through customs and came via courier quickly) seems to work okay although already has a dent so don't think the metal is very thick. Overall we are disappointed by the terrible customer service and would not buy from them again 😔
