They operate by the name of EposDirect ànd Takeaway Giniee, please do not buy the software naming Emporium, There is a zero support from this company, after you purchase the software, they will not train you or teach you or answer your questions ànd queries unless you pay further, on every single occasion their objective is to charge you and invoice you very heavily. All your money will be wasted with them,

Incredibly poor service.

Brought the product outright! Was supposed to be customised, never got customised. Then they hold you to ransom every year for a support fee but give no support.

Avoid Empirium Pos at all cost.

Then they also say you have a contract with them for 5 years. I never agreed too. But apparently it’s part of their terms and conditions. Maybe you should be upfront about this clause and not try to take money from companies that are closed because of Covid, and have moved to a different supplier.

I also love the fake reviews that have been paid for on this website. Have they got verified purchases of their products?

Dishonest, shameful bunch, Horrendous support team, promised and paid for 24 hour support but it doesn't exist, always trying to send out engineers at £250 a visit. software licence fees that just go up and up and up and constantly insist on costly upgrades or your till will stop working.

If I could give zero stars for these utter con artists I would. I bought my till system out right just before lockdown in March. The software they provide is complicated and not useable in my industry of work. They were unhelpful and now I have chosen to try and re-sell my till system they refuse to give me the admin passwords claiming they own the software. Completely mislead when buying the Epos system being led to believe I would own it outright but now they want over £400 more to give me the passwords that should be rightfully mine. Do not let these con artists fool you. I have been left with no other choice other than to instruct solicitors

Customer support is very good.

£4,000 to leave them don't use!! I have reported to Trading Standards, would encourage others to do the same.
Tried to leave, got a bill for nearly £4,000 was told I had agreed to a 5 year term, initially we had contracted for 1 year, annual subscriptions, invoices kept coming as annual with the dates, but 18 months into this they said our licence would stop as we hadn't signed an agreement, I sent an email saying I wasn't going to sign, they called saying it was an oversight, and they had our Direct Debit, but I needed to sign using Docusign. We signed - not noticing the link in small print that changed the term from 1 year to 5 years. But the Annual amount was all I ever saw be Very wary !!! Don't use this company it has cost us thousands and thousands of pounds, hardware they have charged us for cost more than double what you could purchase it for privately. Ripped off from start to finish. Not a penny reduction through lockdown, totally unethical company.

This company should be totally avoided. Nothing but trouble from the moment purchased Epos system with integrated website. All their promises of help/support totally worthless. Do not return calls, give incorrect information and their return emails are incomprehensible “one liners” not even answering any points raised.
Continually have to chase. Given incorrect information re. The setting up of Epos system so spent hours entering stock one way and then found this to be incorrect and told to do a different way. The website was an uphill struggle to get done and not at all creative. Had to correct all their grammatically mistakes.
They cannot produce a “so called” maintenance agreement that they say was taken out and keep chasing for payment when the Epos system is no longer being used. This is a scam as you receive no service and yet they block your system if you don't pay so be warned.I know I am not the only one in this situation. Am now going to a third party now to get legal advice.

If there was a minus five-star rating, it would be too high. These people are lying, cheating scammers who deliberately set out to deceive. I've spent three years fighting these despicable people. Every last one are scum. They don't send you ALL the Terms and Conditions, or the End User Licence Agreements until it is too late. Due to the fact that most businesses sign up or buy equipment as companies, rather than individuals, you have no rights or recourse. Nothing is in writing; all is based on verbal assurances. They do not record calls, and you'll never hear from the same person again after you've agreed to something. Everything after the sale goes straight to offices in India. They'll tell you whoever you dealt with initially has been sacked or left as a matter of course. They won't even know them as evidenced by their lack of correct reference. "He was dismissed, I know what happened" was one fob off. (I dealt with a woman) They shout over you on the phone, and threaten legal action. They don't deliver any of the services you pay for, aside for the physical articles. Pre-programming I payed for never happened. I did it all and still payed. I made a one-off payment system, which is nothing short of an outright lie. Their systems lock, and you have to pay. Its allegedly for "updates" which you don't even need an internet connection for, (I've done it). You will find this nowhere in the documentation. Even if you ask they will deny it to your face. They financially screw small businesses, and that is their sole raison-détrè.
There is a special place in hell for all of them.

Be Careful These guys are a scam

Ill start from the beginning,

when i first signed up with these guys i was told there was an upfront cost for the software and there was a "OPTIONAL MONTHLY" support payment. after first 3 months or so but only if i wanted future support.

I made a bulk payment for the software ( not Hardware the hardware was mine). then after few months the system was locked i couldn't use the software i had paid for. it said to call the technical team so i did.

THIS IS WHERE THE SCAM COMES IN,
They told me that i had to sign up to the monthly support in order to get the codes to unlock the system. ????? WOW
So anyway i had no choice but to agree because i had paid a load of money in the first place. at the time there was no mention of a fixed term agreement as far as i was aware it was a monthly rolling thing. ( as it was just for software support no actual hardware involved)

After a long time of using them the software freezing various support calls that are never returned continuously chasing for issues. i decided to downgrade to a basic system. called to notify them i cancelled and i also cancelled my direct debit.

They illegally re-instated my direct debit which i have reported to the bank. i then called them on the phone about my refund and i was meet by a very angry man who insists i agreed to a 5 years agreement ????. So i simply asked him to send me this so called agreement.

what this company are doing is trapping there customers and forcing them into an agreement or basically the money they have paid out for software will burn.

If anyone else has an issue with this company please contact me so we can make more people aware of how they trap people in.

I have had the worst possible experience with customer services again today they are impossible to deal with have no communication skills. I never get to speak to anyone who is willing to follow my complaint through and am constantly fobbed off and told they will get back to me. Enough is enough I hope anyone who is contemplating any dealings with this company to rethink. I am a customer of 9 years and it has been an unpleasant journey every time I have to speak to the call centre.
I am fully aware that this review will be taken down because they will say I am no known to them this is a ply to bring down adverse customer reviews.

Wish i could give it a Zero! they falsely tied my staff into signing a Five Year Contract and now threating us with Legal Case. Bring it on!! I will be going to TRADING STANDARDS AS WELL AS THE Regulatory authorities.

Please do not use this company. They use the till systems to lock you out of the software, forcing you top pay (and de-facto) enter into a contract which will have a minimum term of 5 years, whereby they later send you paperwork to make the contract binding.

Very sensible and supportive throughout. Highly satisfied and would recommend.

E-Novations provided me the best till system and which is very easy to operate. They also provide the best support.

Purchased a till outright from them. Bought a software license for one year upfront and made sure I was emailing the sales advisor as he wanted to only communicate on the phone (that should have been my first red flag) and I was told that there would be no mandatory contractual payments. I was harassed back in June receiving phone calls at 2am every night by this company telling me I owed them thousands of pounds. I forwarded the emails to them showing what I was sold and they apologised and said it was sorted. Well now I have received a further invoice for £2160 for something I have never agreed to pay. This company fraudulently sells to you and is really helpful when they make a sale but as soon as you have signed their contract they ignore you and send out letters and threaten to contact debt collectors. It is disgusting. If anyone happens to know who would regulate this type of company I would appreciate being told so I can make a complaint

Good communication skills, very polite and well-mannered. All the issues were resolved swiftly and in a timely fashion.

The staff is more helpful in resolving my issues.
