Unacceptable behavior

Unacceptable behavior. They are holding customers’ money without justification and without any accountability.
The return was confirmed on March 26th and I still haven’t received my refund, despite repeated attempts to contact them. All I get are generic responses with no real action.
I have already filed a complaint with the Consumer Ombudsman and I recommend that anyone facing a similar issue do the same. Don’t let it go.

Too many problems and no solutions

Today I've placed an order via their app. The money was taken from my account but the order did not get through. I then tried to contact them via their only way of communication (which is via chat), from 13:30 until 20:00pm, but it seems that, aside their payment incident, they also got a bigger incident, as their chat was ALSO down! Leaving I-dont-know how many other customers like me on hold, with 0 information !!! After numerous attempts, I was finally connected with one of their agents via chat, only to be told that they had a general technical issue and that the amount will be released within 1 business day (which basically means, starting next week..). As it is not the 1st time that payment issues occurs with their app, I told them that I could not wait until next week and asked them to immediately reverse the imprint they had made. But instead of immediately reversing me the money (as they had done in the past for similar issues), they told me that this time they were not able to take any immediate actions and that I had to wait. This is definitely the last time I am using their services because it seems that they always encounter an issue, but they have 0 solution to provide in case of crisis.

Unable to connect to support

I ordered from them and my payment said failed. I looked thoroughly even talked with the store and the order was not received, but the amount of money was withdrawn from my account. I tried to talk to them for over an hour but I couldn’t get connected to anyone. I tried ordering again but the store seemed closed which was what I believed was the reason for my initial payment failing. I decided to order a third time from a different store only to find out I had now 2 orders pending. I desperately tried to cancel the second one, talked personally with the store but nothing came of it. I kept trying to cancel. In total, I was trying to contact their support for over 3 hours and I never got connected to anyone. They don’t care about their clients at all, all they care about is money hence the subscriptions. App deleted. Won’t use them again!

ZERO care

Zero accountability for serious mistakes. But obviously, this company does not care as evident by the sheet amount of 1-star reviews here. App removed. If we all do that, they'd hopefully close down.

Orders Marked Delivered but Never Received

I’ve had a really frustrating experience with efood deliveries. Twice in the last few months, the app showed that my order was delivered, but I never actually received it.

Each time, I had to go through the hassle of reordering and waiting all over again just to get my food. This is unacceptable and very inconvenient.

I’m not sure what kind of delivery partners efood is using, but based on my experience, the reliability is very poor. I hope they seriously improve their delivery service.

Greed

They have gotten too greedy, from subscription to get a delivery from shops without paying huge amounts just for delivery, to extra costs that the consumer has to pay for improving their business model, as they say... for a better experience in the future.. Like it's our responsibility to cover that cost.. It's called investing. Use some of your profit margin to improve your model!

Every but every time you order from…

Every but every time you order from them they give an estimated delivery time they never keep NEVER !!!

The 20 minutes become an hour. The 15 minutes become 50 ... They don't pay enough money to hire people for delivery and we get to pay the price for that. Horrible experience Mistakes and delays

45 minutes delay on my order

I placed an order was meant to be delivered between 35-55min then after 55min the delivery time was changed to 30min after. when i reached out to them to complain they kept telling me this has been noted. when they ended the chat refusing to have me speak with a supervisor and saying we understand exactly how you feel. the time for my order was pushed 15 minutes back.

They don't guarantee the food places that they are partners.I have send picture from the quality of pizza I order and the response was im sorry is not we can do,they forced you to accept another order with the same shit of quality.

I've been using it for the last 3-4…

I've been using it for the last 3-4 years without having any problem. During the last two months, the service suddenly became terrible. I'm not talking about the huge additional costs they added to the orders... I'm talking about continuous fails on orders. Especially during the last month. They fail on delivery times, they forget to send a distributor, they deliver the wrong orders! It didn't happen once or twice. It happens all the time! I'm struggling to figure out a way with the chat because they cut out the phone contact. They never take responsibility for their mistakes and the stores also have problems with their distributors. Obviously, I'm not using it again.

No effective customer support

They have canceled their telephone customer care line! The customer is at the mercy of the app/GSM network and if any kind of support is needed the only option is chat through the app. I tried that to correct my order (pre-paid) and received a message that all agents are busy!! and was essentially put on hold on the chat app!!! I did not sign up for this type of service and complete disrespect as a customer. I just deleted my account. Never again e-food for me.

Zero consumer protection - They wash their hands of responsibility

I paid online for an order that arrived incomplete (missing the main ingredient). I sent photographic proof to support, and their response was shocking: "We contacted the store, they refused the refund, so we cannot do anything."

So e-food acts merely as a payment collector? If a store scams you, the platform leaves you helpless, even though the transaction went through them. It’s like buying from Amazon, receiving an empty box, and Amazon saying, "The seller doesn't want to refund you, too bad."

Unacceptable policy. Your money is not safe if something goes wrong with "delivery by store" orders.
